    I called Tyler's TV for a home service call to diagnose an issue with a 60" LG Plasma TV that stopped working. Carlton returned my call promptly. He explained that the cost of the service call would be applied to any labor to fix it if I decided to have it fixed. Either way, he advised (and I took his advice) that it was worth looking at for the price of the service call before buying a new tv. He came out and diagnosed the problem quickly. He ordered the part (after finding it at the lowest cost possible for me) and made an appointment to install it. He came out on time to fix it and charged me accordingly. The entire repair - parts and labor - was significantly less than a new TV. Carlton was polite, honest and prompt and his rates were reasonable. I highly recommend Tyler's TV.

    The picture color on my Sony TV had too much red and green that could not be adjusted.  I called Tyler's TV, described my problem and gave Mr. Tyler the model number of the TV.  We arranged an appointment time for him to come to my home to evaluate the issue.  He was very prompt, had already done research on the TV and was honest in his assessment.  Fully explained my options and the cost.  In the end It was more cost effective for me to get a new one even though he would have made more $ fixing mine.  Very professional attitude and pleasant manner.  Service call was $75.00.  Well worth it.  Highly recommend this company.

    Went great! Was able to arrange an in-house appointment within 24 hours after I contacted them. Faulty panels in the TV were removed and taken to their shop for repair. They were successfully repaired and reinstalled in seven days. Carlton and his assistant were personable and professional. Final cost was what they estimated. I would use them again and highly recommend them to friends.

    I found them very satisfactory. They diagnosed the problem in the flat screen that I had and gave an honest opinion that a repair wouldn't be worth it because it wasn't guaranteed to rectify the issue.. He was very straightforward. The service was completed in early Spring.

    Our 55" Vizzio LCD TV suddenly stopped displaying the picture. I called Tyler's TV from Angie's List and they told me over the phone that since there was no damage to the screen and because we saw a blue haze when the TV was turned on, that the problem was probably a circuit board and could be repaired at a reasonable cost compared to purchasing a new TV. The TV is only 2 years old and otherwise in perfect condition, so hard to part with.
    Tyler's TV came out the next business day after I called them, disassembled the TV and diagnosed the problem. We had to wait about a week for the new part to arrive, but through no delay on Tyler's TV part.  The TV was repaired without a hitch and is as good as new. I recommend this company for their knowledge, price and professionalism.

    When my 50" flat-screen TV died I checked Glebe TV on Angies List and gave them a call. ( I had used them many years ago and had not needed a TV repair since.) The phone was answered promptly and they promised a return call when Mr. Tran returned. It was the next morning before the call came but he could come the same day. He and an assistant took the TV off the wall and ran some tests.Two components were bad and the work needed to be done in his shop. He gave me the total cost and we discussed whether I should repair it or replace it. He thought it worth the money to repair the needed items but said if he found anything else he wouldn't go any further and only charge the initial service fee ($120). He would have it back in a week. One week later it was back on the wall and everything worked great. I was very pleased with the outcome.

    What a strange conversation.  After he picked up the phone, I told them I have a plasma TV that died, and I'd like to schedule a service appointment.  He asked what city I live in.  I said "well, Fairfax County, just south of Herndon."  He said "well Fairfax County isn't a city, what city are you in?"  I answered "we aren't located in the city itself, but our mailing address is Herndon."

    At that point he just said tersely "Well we don't service that area."  I asked, "You don't service Herndon?"  He said "no."  I asked again, "We're south of Herndon, you're in Manassas.  That's 15 minutes away.  You don't service that area?"  He answered, "No, we service people 5 or 10 minutes away, but not 15 minutes away."
     
    At that point this was going nowhere fast so I concluded, "Well that is disappointing to hear, and it will be an interested fact to note on Angie's List."  To which he yelled, "PLEASE PUT IT ON MAN, I DON'T NEED PEOPLE LIKE YOU!! [click]"

    So, as he requested, I am conveying the information that G&E will only service customers 5 or 10 minutes away.  If you are seeking service from this provider, I can only hope that you are one of the people like whom he apparantly "needs."

    I called them after the service center that Samsung recommended gave me a very high estimate (~$400) to replace it. They were very polite and gave me a lower estimate over the phone. The only downside is that they didn't follow up after my first 2 calls, so I had to call a 3rd time to schedule the service and have the part ordered. Once scheduled, they came within the window they provided and performed an excellent job, taking care of the floors, carpet, furniture and of course, the TV.

    Tyler's TV came to my home to service my TV, which was making a very loud beeping noise.  The TV was fixed in no time as they knew exactly what to do and had the appropriate part.  I love any service that comes to my home, as lugging a TV to a shop would have been difficult.  I was pleased with everything about this experience (my first time using this company) except I gave them a grade of "fair" for responsiveness.  This was based solely on having to call several times to get them to make an appointment time.  He explained his family member had a health issue that week, so that likely explained the delay.  Would suggest in the future to be diligent about returning calls so as not to lose any customers!
