    NOVA Express Movers
Excellent service. Very professional, courteous and hard working staff. It took a lot longer than we originally thought due to the amount of our household goods. The staff took extra care with all the furniture. They worked late into the night to make sure that everything was done. Would definitely hire again!

    The Organizing Mentors, LLC
Lisa and her co-workers did an excellent lob of packing the stuff in my apartment for a move out-of-state. She was also there to help out when the movers loaded the truck. This is the second time I have used her services and I recommend the Organizing Mentors highly.

    Perfect for Small Moves, LLC
Bill and his helper, Eddie, were professional, courteous, efficient and hard-working. Bill was able to accommodate my moving request with a day's notice. They treated my things with care. Bill was exactly that...perfect for my small move!

    Zippy Shell Storage and Moving
The first stage went very well. I spoke with Bill Shannon, the manager of the Chantilly office, via phone and he gave me an estimate for the loading and storage fee for one shell. He did not do an onsite visit to estimate but based his estimate on experience of storing the items and boxes as I described to him. His estimate turned out to be spot on and the crew was wonderful in making everything fit into the storage shell. The shell went away and was stored at a very reasonable rate at their Chantilly location. The second phase was the actually final moving of all the rest of our house hold furniture and goods. Again, he estimated the cost over the phone and his 28 foot van held all of our remaining items. The crew was wonderful on moving day but they could not control the weather. It rained the entire time they were loading in Herndon and then when we got to Cross Junction there was already 5 inches of snow and it was still snowing the entire time they were unloading. It was a heroic effort with the rain and snow. God bless them all.. It was a long day. They started at about 8:30 AM and did not finish until about 6:30 PM. They remained cheerful and professional for the entire day.

    My Guys Moving & Storage
I never write reviews but in this case had to warn the public. My move with My Guys moving was one of the most miserable experiences of my life. The guys were very nice and worked hard but did not speak English. The one or two that did were not fluent. My negative review should not reflect on them but on the estimator, foremen and management. Unfortunately, when the leadership team is inadequate, the entire move falls apart. Specifics: Even though I provided the guys with room labels most of the boxes were mislabeled. Most of the boxes were only partially filled, resulting in longer move and more boxes. This, of course, increased my tab. The Foreman spoke little English and was terribly disorganized taking guys off one room and moving them to another. Because of this much was missed and I kept finding half completed rooms. Instead of taking 1 1/2 days per estimate the move took 3 full 12 hour days days. The estimate was highly inaccurate, roughly 1/3 of the final cost of the move. They ran out of boxes both days and were carrying stuff out in plastic grocery bags. In the new house boxes were stacked haphazardly, taking up much more space than necessary and creating obstacles to traffic flow. Items were not placed in rooms according to room labels or floor plan. I actually found 2 fur coats and an antique oil painting in the garage (in the heat of the summer) a month later. Nine months later I am still unpacking. I cant prioritize my unpacking because nothing is labeled correctly. Everyday brings a new surprise because I have no idea what is in the box I am preparing to unpack. It was complete disaster. Hire these guys at your own peril. I wouldnt have them move me in if they were to do it for free.

    Zippy Shell Storage and Moving
The move went great! More than exceeded our expectations! The movers came right on time, wrapped the breakable items in moving blankets and the rest of the furniture in plastic wrap. They packed the zippy shell quickly and efficiently and moved our stuff into the apartment. They were so efficient that it was less than 3 hours total, including a 1 hour drive! We were delighted!

    Around Town Movers
The guys with Our Guys were great. My wife was thoroughly impressed with them and how nice they were. They took great cares to protect our items from getting damage. They even helped my wife and took lots and lots of heavy items to the curb for trash pick up. We had a wall mounted tv and they helped took it down when we couldn't do it. The move took a total of 9 hours, about 4 more hours than I originally anticipated, but that was because I didn't realize just how much we still had to move at the time I call them.

    Ben & Crew Moving
The 2 movers from Strongmove were superb -- very professional, efficient, and careful. They wrapped the chest of drawers, for example. They handled the antique bed very carefully. It took less than 1/2 hour to load everything and when we got to the destination, they had to carry the furniture up 3 flights of stairs. Since we were within the alloted 2 hours, we asked if they could help us assemble the bed. They did so without hesitation, and even had some handy tools with them. All with a smile! A+++

    ARKO Moving
They were late cause one of the guys had metro issues but they did call constantly to keep in touch and worked quickly to make thing happen, the move required taking some boxes to a storage unit and then some to an apt during the middle of DC summer, they maintained a good attitude throughout.

    Charming Movers
We had used Charming Movers on at least four other occasions and our most recent prior to this move was 6 years ago. We had such great service that we knew we needed to use Charming Movers. A lot has changed in the past six years and not for the best. When the movers got to our apartment they started complaining right away. We lived on the 5th floor of an apartment complex that also has am elevator. They moved us into this apartment 6 years ago and during that move no one complained. However today all they did was complain and wasted 30 minutes or so complaining and calling the owner to add another guy. They even tried to get 2 additional guys which both my husband and I felt was outrageous. We had spent this last week getting rid of old furniture and stuff that there wasn't much to pack and we only filled a quarter of their truck. When my husband called to schedule the move he told her all of the furniture that we had and about where we lived and where we were moving to. She said we only needed two guys and would definitely be under the $1000 we budgeted for. Two hours into this move the third guy shows up and yet we were charged for 3 guys for the full cost of the move and the 30 minutes plus they complained. I have never seen this company act so unprofessional. The owner's son and Jose kept bickering do this, no I do it that way. While I am grateful my items arrived at my new apartment without any damage, I will not be calling them again for any future moves. I will also note that my husband helped load the truck and that helped move them along. We had the elevator key which we didn't even need and there was no reason to come into the move and complain, especially when we had access to an elevator. Especially since the complaining was mostly from the owner's son. The only friendly person was the third guy they sent. He never complained and smiled the entire time. They need more employees like him, and if they make some changes I would use again but from what I see Charming Movers has lost their touch and their previous excellent customer service. It's very sad to see how this company went from the best we ever used to a stressful move. The owner's son actually asked us if we had to move our stuff out today. Them Jose kept saying it was a 13 hour move and would take 6-7 hours just to move our stuff out of our apartment. It took them 3 hours to load the truck and two to unload. They started the clock at 8:30 when they arrived, but not when they actually started moving stuff, which was 9:00. So we paid for a half hour of their complaining which wasn't professional or nice to hear and for a third guy who wasn't even there. Overall, I am unimpressed and will not use again.
