    Cyrus Construction LP
We hired Cyrus to remodel our unfinished basement and our expectations were far exceed by the finished product! They turned our dingy, uninspiring basement where we had nothing but storage into an awesome bar/lounge area where we plan on watching hours of sporting events, a gaming room for my kids that is separated from the adult side and a beautiful full bathroom (which is nicer than all of the other bathrooms in my house)!! Every step of the way we had Russell to ask questions or ping him with comments about what we were seeing. He was always responsive and communicated with us via email, phone and text. He always kept us apprised of the next steps in the project. I would highly recommend Cyrus and will likely use them for our next home renovation!

    Craft Kitchen & Bath
We are so pleased by the transformation of our bathroom by Mike Vonal and his team at Craft Kitchen and Bath! Mike listened to our needs and designed the room with attention to every detail. He provided guidance on selection of materials based on our needs and budget and monitored the work daily. The installation team protected carpets and stairs, left a clean area each day, were professional and courteous, and performed the work efficiently.

    Moss Building & Design
Excellent quality workmanship. Project took longer to completion than anticipated, in part, because we experienced a foundation leak that required another contractor to repair. Moss worked with us to prepare for that repair and replace work that had to be redone. Overall, very pleased with the final remodel.

    Century Bathrooms & Kitchens
We are delighted with the work done by Century on our bathroom! They were extremely flexible and accommodating with our requests for a partial remodel (demolition, prep walls to paint ready state, install new shower, tile shower & bathroom floor, recessed lighting). Owners Dan & Erika found the perfect tile for us and helped to custom design our shower. The installers were prompt, polite, efficient, & checked with us every time there was any question. The project started and finished early as well!

    Easy Renovations
Kayla and her team did a fantastic job at very reasonable pricing, when we needed A hundred things done to prep our house for sale last May. She updated two bathrooms with new tile and paint, installed a new vanity, fixed a gouge in the wall, and replaced the lighting and sink hardware. She stripped wallpaper and patched wall gouges from my sons playing lacrosse inside (!) and repainted. Many other places in the house needed attention too. She brought in specialists where needed (tiling, wallboard) and got the work done quickly. She was great to deal with, very positive and calm during a time of upheaval for me and my family. Wish we had found her sooner so we could have enjoyed the updates and repairs we never had time to do ourselves! Highly recommend!

    Rent-A-Pro Handyman Services LLC
Price: Most importantly, the original estimate for the work (after site survey mind you) was $615, and the final price came to $973.47, nearly 60% higher than what was originally quoted. When I asked the office manager why we ended up so far off the original estimate, she just told me that sometimes the work takes longer (but 70% longer?). We were actually slightly over the original estimate on the first day ($658.27), and the worker needed to return for a second day. At that point I wasn't made aware that we were going to end up so far over the original estimate, so I thought it would just be a very quick in-and-out on the second day, but I ended up with a bill for another 5.5 hours on top of the 8 hours already completed. Quality: It's really too bad, because the actual work looks pretty good. The interior wall/ceiling/fan look great, even better than when I moved in. The exterior looks good also. I can tell there is some minor damage to the frame of the window now, presumably from the exterior work to diagnose the leak, but nothing really noticeable if you're not already looking for it. Responsiveness/Punctuality/Professionalism: The majority of my communication with Ted and Nancy was via email, and they were quick to respond to my inquiries. The original estimate was about a day later than promised, and I had to call to get the day-1 invoice detail and receipt that wasn't sent after I paid the first day, but nothing too major. Ted, Nancy, and Miguel all seemed like nice people, and they were pleasant to work with. Overall, I enjoyed working with the team, and the work looks good now that it's completed, but to be that far off on an estimate is just a non-starter for me. I thought the original estimate was reasonable enough that I didn't pursue additional quotes (won't make that mistake again), but it can really be a budget killer when you're trusting a site-surveyed estimate that doesn't even get in the ballpark.

    Virginia Kitchen & Bath
After interviewing 4 Angie's List Kitchen remodeling companies, I chose VA Kitchen and Bath because 1) They offered the best price 2) Leon, the sales rep was very available, relaxed, knowledgeable and flexible as I changed my order several times before settling on materials (of course before the order was put in); and 3) there were enough recent outstanding reviews to raise the expectation that I could expect the same. I wasn't disappointed. Project manager Martese made sure all materials arrived in time for the project to be completed in the promised 3 week time frame. When there was a bump in the road , he made sure it was smoothed out within 24-48 hours. I have a strong HOA and Martese made sure waste was removed the same day during demolition and later held in the garage until able to be expeditiously removed. He made himself available , responded quickly and kept an eye on the progress of the remodeling. I also pulled on Martese's years of experience to help me pick a paint to be a background color and he was spot on with BM Light Pewter. (I now want to do my whole house in it.) He also helped select an outstanding backsplash. I relied on his experience as well as Leon's and Andy's to reduce the hours I otherwise would have had to put in. (I'm very indecisive regarding colors) Andy, and his crew (Henry and Edgar) were outstanding. They did their very best to limit the dust/grime fallout from the demo by sealing off entranceways with plastic. They work together seamlessly , having been a team for many years. Quiet, focussed, persistent (only half hour lunch breaks on site) they worked tirelessly to finish on time before the holidays. I have to say, Andy is top notch! He explained what was going on and asked me my preferences based on his years of experience in remodeling kitchens. He is very patient and flexible and a troubleshooter. He made some suggestions that were very helpful with respect to design to avoid future problems. I was clueless regarding pendant light size and he helped reduce my stress shopping for those. He also pointed out the need to update my recessed lighting and went out of his way to show me a refit kit and the difference it would make in the kitchen. KUDOS TO ANDY! What a difference the lighting makes! IT was worth the extra few hundred dollars. I can't praise Andy enough as he takes such pride in his work and wants to see the best possible outcome for the homeowner. He keeps a portfolio of photos of his finished jobs which also helped me make some decisions. He also pointed out the corrections he made in the remodeling to bring everything up to code that wasn't before. He also corrected careless errors on the part of the first builder. Finally, when my new stove arrived, Andy stayed on task to make sure the side rails were installed properly so the racks would slide on (not previously installed and a BIG headache ). Thank you Andy (and Edgar and Henry) and Martese and Leon for making my dream kitchen a reality! I'll be calling on you again in the future to upgrade our master bathroom. I've included photos of the kitchen redo; I'm only sorry I don't have "before" pictures so you could see the dramatic difference.

    Building By Design Inc.
Every job was done really well. The ceiling, drywall repair, was so well done my wife really liooked hard and could not find where the work had been done. The condo rework was a lot of work, but all of it was perfect. We have been very very pleased with their work.
