    Blue Ridge Ophthalmology
I was very satisfied with them because they made an appointment with me that very same day. I thought the office staff was very nice too.

Dr Seagraves was fantastic. Friendly, courteous, attentive, knowledgeable and professional. She diagnosed a reason for my dry eye that previous optometrists missed. I would use the same adjectives to describe The office opticians. They helped me select frames for sunglasses as well as reading glasses. I've received many compliments on them. Would highly recommend .

    Pope, Dr. Bruce
Great. Wonderful Exam and Treatment. One treatment suggested for symptoms that is cutting edge - I've not done that treatment yet since my condition has improved but this Dr. is functional and open to holistic helps and I consider that cutting edge as well.

    Covert, Dr. Christopher
Dr. Covert was very thorough and communicated well. He took the time to explain the eye tests, educate us and work with us to achieve the best vision solution. We are all very happy with our new prescriptions, which is amazing considering this is the first time in progressives for me.

Drs. Record & Record at Albemarle High School
Our annual eye exams went fine. They are great about suggesting different products (e.g. contact lenses, drops, etc) to handle any issue. They also give you samples to test out to make sure they work for you. Every doctor we've seen there has been wonderful and friendly (Dr. Carol and Stephen Record, Dr. Adam, Dr. Matriccino, etc.). They have also been helpful in emergency situations where it's more of a medical issue (leaving for vacation in a few hours, eye irritation crops up; torn cornea, etc.). The only strange thing is that billing between their two locations is not connected at all, so if you have to see them in both places, expect to deal with them as if they were two separate providers. Otherwise stick to either Sachem or Pantops. I think their selection of frames is good but not great - however this is to be expected in Charlottesville. We usually go to DC to find really interesting frames anyway. Where they are extremely helpful is having expert staff who can adjust and tweak frames to fit well. We return to them for periodic tune-ups when glasses get loose or just aren't fitting properly.

Drs. Record & Record at Albemarle High School
I had an eye exam performed by this office 2 years ago and was extremely pleased. I ordered contacts and a pair of glasses. I moved the following year so switched to a different provider for my exam. I was so unhappy with the new provider that I returned to Drs. Record and Record this year even though it is further from my home. I was once again very happy with my exam. The office staff is extremely friendly and Dr. Adams was wonderful. He was patient and worked to make sure my script was correct.

    Primary Eyecare
My glasses and contacts work better than before, but I'm still not 100% happy with my glasses. That could be because progressive lenses just don't work well for what I do. I chose to stick with my previous frames and after about two months one of the screws began to loosen. I'm not sure the lab did a great job of putting them together. I took it back to Primary Eyecare to have it tightened up, but had to take it back two more times in the same month. The last time I was told I would need to continue bringing them back to be tightened up. They never offered to send them back to the lab for repair. I finally sent them back to the shop I bought them from (out of state), and they did the job. Primary Eyecare probably does fine work with glasses they sell, but they didn't seem know how to work with mine. I would consider going back to Dr. Giralamo, but it depends on what glasses I choose to go with next time around. She did a good job in improving my contacts.

    Franklin, Dr. Shannon
My story is about my deep desire to wear contacts. I had a phobia about keeping my eye open to put the contact in. I am very coordinated, but I COULD NOT get this technique down. The staff worked with me over several sessions, patiently. They were by my side, modeled how to put in the contact and left me alone as well. Ultimately, I was my own limitation, but it was not for lack of an amazing, professional cheering staff!

The visit and a follow up one both went extremely well. Not only the front desk staff helped us answer many questions about insurance they provided great information for make-up paperwork as well. The doctor, technicians and nurses are super knowledgable and experienced. It's a wonderful experience and we will definitely go back for any similar needs.
