    Pro-Keys Locksmith Service, LLC
One of the locks, purchased at Homedepot, was obviously a returned item as it was missing parts and some of the screw holes were stripped. Also one of the doors was sagging due to the builder failing to put all the screws in the hinges. Jerry, the service owner, fixed the damaged lock, and put a screw in the door at no extra charge. He was also able put the lock in the basement door even though the door was not installed correctly. He arrived on time, was quick, and cleaned up after himself. His price was one of the best of all the service providers I looked at. I would definitely recommend Pro-keys Locksmith services and hire them again.

After arriving 2 hrs late, the technician spent an hour looking for the open circuit.  He spent more time talking than working.  He wasn't successful and recommended the rewiring of the circuit back to electrical panel.  He needed another employee so he scheduled a return visit.  He returned several days later with another employee and spent the first 30 min explaining everything he did the visit before to the other guy.  The other guy knew much more about home electricity than he did.  An hour later, they discovered an open outlet in the bathroom which was responsible for the problem.  I understand troubleshooting is a time consuming process and it could take a long time to find a simple problem.  The recommendation to just run a new wire to the circuit breaker would save time but the price was about $1200.  Since they found the open outlet the 1st technician felt like he saved me a lot of money and tried to charge me for 2 more hours worth of labor.  I originally purchased a coupon for buy 1 hr and get 2 hrs.  He felt he earned the 2 hrs on the 1st visit and now I needed to pay for the 2nd visit.  I objected and we worked out a compromise.  As it turns out, the 1st technician was  the owner of the company.  I'm not sure if either of the technicians were licensed.  I got the impression they weren't.  This company got good reviews for other work.  I wouldn't recommend them for electrical work.

    EcoStar Remodeling
The quality of the doors is great. The cost was a lot of money, but I do have a large beautiful home on a 10 acre setting that still had the original doors on the house and that didn't really seem to fit the home. My home demands a more sophisticated front door area. The doors I got from EcoStar and they did satisfy my need for something that looks more grand. The doors are very air tight, well made, and the installation was good with the exception of a couple of issues. We ordered the doors in May 2014 and we were promised them by September which was a long enough time as it was and then they weren't ready by September. They weren't installed until mid-October. I did have trouble with the lock on the door as well. I actually had to figure out myself even though the lock was installed incorrectly. The coloring of the molding was not correct on one of the doors. The owner came out to look at it. He said he would fix it. They added molding to cover up the wrong color, but it looked like a band-aid fix. I wanted the door to be perfect because it was an expensive door and nailing another board of molding looked tacky. The owner came out again and now he is saying he will remove the added molding and stain the molding. This still isn't corrected yet, but the owner claims he will correct the issue. I have to wait for spring for everything to be fixed. John, the owner, is really a great guy and he is trying hard to make good. They do have a good product and hopefully the issues I experienced are unusual for them as a company so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt.

    Helping Hands Handyman Services LLC
Nelson returned my call promptly and scheduled appt. within a couple of days.
Work was completed satisfactorily within an hour. He was pleasant to my husband and myself and followed up next day to ask if door was operating properly. I would be happy to use his services again.

This is the second set of doors we have had installed by Lowe's using Jackson as the installers.
First set was two years ago. One interior and two metal exterior doors with windows. We paid for installer to come to the house, measured the doorways and discussed the doors we would be ordering. After discussing the exterior door for the garage, as it would be an expensive door due to the need for an extra wide doorway jamb to be manufactured we decided not to purchased that one exterior door. The other two doors (one exterior, one interior) were in-stock doors and we ordered them through Lowe's. Installed by Jackson, both doors were picked up at the store by Jackson, brought here and installed. Excellent work by the installer.
This year (September 2013) we upgraded a bathroom and decided to replace the narrow linen closet door and the bathroom door to the hallway. We requested Jackson to be the installer for Lowe's, they came to the house, wrote up the size requirements for these two interior doors. One door (to the hallway) was in-stock at Lowe's, the other was a custom ordered door through Lowe's. Jackson picked the doors up at Lowe's, brought the two doors to the house. My only negative comment is that the installer did not check to ensure the two doors were the correct size and style before he completely took out the two original doors from the bathroom. The in-stock hallway door for the hallway entry into the bathroom was put in with no problem. When the installer went to put the custom ordered door in he discovered the wrong door had been ordered in width (too wide by two inches) and it was a plain finished style door not textured (to have a wood look to it). Lowe's reordered the custom door with no problem (we will have to wait three weeks for it to arrive and be installed). Problem is that the linen closet in the bathroom was left with no door on it for these three weeks. With three large lab size dogs indoors with us I had to ensure nothing was on the lower shelves of the linen closet which would draw the dogs' attention (like the trash can). Bit of a pain that I did not appreciate having to deal with for three weeks time period.
The Lowe's clerk who had inputted this original custom door measurements had problems with the computer program for ordering the door. I should had just left that door area and gone to the installation desk at the front of the store and asked them to place the order for the linen closet door.

    Home Visions Inc

The entire process - from the initial call by the salesman to the final inspection of the installed windows - was done by professionals: promptly and with courtesy - that left me with a keen sense my needs and preferences were foremost in the minds of the Home Visions team.
The Home Visions salesman took time to go over all our options and explain to us why the windows and doors offered are the best products on the market today. I also like the fact that they are manufactured in the United States. Another Home Visions employee came by as a Quality Assurance check to re-measure the windows and ensure everything was ready to go. Since our installation was scheduled for Monday, June 10th, that Friday we were contacted to once again ensure we were ready and to let us know when the installation team would be arriving.
The weather forecast for June 10th was for heavy and severe thunderstorms in the afternoon. A Home Visions representative called me early in the morning and gave me the option of re-scheduling but I opted to move forward since we already had all the furniture moved out of the way. The day turned out to be extremely hot and humid. But that did not deter the Home Visions team. Before starting, the foreman walked around with me and explained what they would be doing. After carefully putting down drop-cloths and ensuring none of the construction dust would get into the house, they quickly began the work. Although there were only four workers, it felt like a virtual army had descended on the house and before early afternoon, fifteen old windows had been removed and the new ones installed.
The exceptionally skilled workmen removed the old rotten door and installed the new door. They worked with precision, speed and care. The new door was a monster: 8-foot tall with two transoms. Not only was the unit over-sized and heavy, they had to work over cherry hardwood floors leaving not a scratch. The rest of the crew set about adding the outside facing to the new windows and working in the hot and humid weather.

Around 5 PM the skies darkened and the wind picked up, yet the Home Visions team pressed on. A couple of times they had to get under the porch because the rain was coming down so hard, but as soon as the rain let up, they were working again. They did not get done until after 8 PM.

In summary, my husband I could not be more thrilled with the work and the extraordinary customer service provided by your team. It is indeed rare in this day and age to find a company as well-run as Home Visions.
    Job well done!!!

Affordable Handyman and Services went very well.  They did this about two weeks ago.  They charged $169.  The experience was very easy and very efficient.  I called them to schedule it, it was within a week from scheduling, it was on time, very polite and professional.

    Hall's Drywall & Painting
Halls Drywall and Painting hung drywall, trimmed, primed and final painted over 1550 square feet for us.  The process from the beginning was simple and efficient. Richard provided a very quick and fair quote.  He was ready to begin the day that we accepted his bid.  All of his teams were professional and courteous.  They were very tidy in all of their work.  The final paint looks great and we are quite pleased with the final product.  I would recommend this company to anyone and would use them again.  Made life easy for us.

    Mike Heller-The House Repair Specialist
Working with Mike was a pleasure from start to finish.  I have had new stainless steel cabinet pulls sitting in my basement waiting to be installed on our kitchen cabinets.  We had planned to install them ourselves but got nervous that we would make a mistake and ruin a cabinet door since the new pulls were handles and required a second hole to be drilled.  So we decided to find an expert to do the job as long as we could get a reasonable price.  I looked around and eventually found Mike on Craigslist (of all places).  He was professional, courteous, and timely from the start of our email exchange and even provided a page of references which I was pleased about since at that time he was not on Angie's List.  Mike asked that I explain the scope of the project over email and he gave me an estimate of the cost and the time involved with the project.  We decided to give him a shot.  I told Mike when I needed the job done by and he accommodated my timeline.  On the day of the project Mike called to let me know what time he would arrive and he was on time.  He took a look at the project and got started.  He took plenty of time on each door and make sure that everything was perfect.  Mike even brought in a level to make sure that all of the pulls were even.  He is definitely a perfectionist and I believe he treated my cabinets as though they were in his own home.  He was respectful of my home and cleaned up after himself.  Mike is certainly a talented craftsman and a professional.  I would not hesitate to call him back when another project comes up.  If you hire him you won't be disappointed.

Joe Cox did a great job! He answered the phone when I called and came out to give a free estimate within a day or two. Less than a week later he returned on a Sunday morning to fit us into his busy schedule at the exact time he said he would arrive. He worked quickly and the door came out great. He is very pleasant and knowledgeable. It's so nice to have a fence door that works! There were only two small negatives. One, we thought the price was a little high. But he did tell me in advance that he has a minimum charge to come out and the job was fairly small so if I had any other very small jobs to add, he would throw them in at no charge. So I asked him to rehang a single board that had fallen off our fence. He did that without a problem. He also said that he walked around the fence and hammered in any loose boards. We certainly appreciated that. The other small negative was that he had to replace two boards on the fence door and he did not stain them to match the rest of the wood (which we recently had power-washed and stained). I just assumed he would do that as part of the job, but did not specifically request that he do it. (We will pick up some stain and finish the job ourselves.) Overall, the two small negatives did not affect our opinion of Joe. He was friendly, approachable, and he did the job quickly and with high quality. We would definitely recommend him to friends and would use him again.
