AA Change of Place MoversMr. Brad and his crew were ABSOUTELY WONDERFUL!!! I can't say that enough!!! From our first conversation Brad was responsive, professional, yet warm, friendly and understanding. We moved from a home we had been in for 30 years and it was a HUGE undertaking figuring out the logistics of the move, plus we were moving from a one-story home to a two-story home. The gentlemen actually arrived early, but sent a message when they were on their way. The move took two loads, but they were fun, professional and friendly the entire time and it took approximately 10-12 hours and we never witnessed an angry or impatient moment from any of them. They worked well together and with those of us that were helping to navigate placement of furniture. They even gave friendly advice when asked. They went far beyond the call of duty. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to everyone we talk to. The rate was fair and reasonable and because of their great workmanship a good tip was well deserved!!!!! Thank you for making this move a wonderful experience!!! If we ever move again, God forbid, we will not hesitate to call A CHANGE OF PLACE MOVERS!!!!! AFrom the initial point of contact to the end of services, they were very professional and a pleasure to deal with. The three gentlemen that came to help me unpack two PODS containers were Supermen! They unloaded a 16' and 7' container in two hours. They were fast and efficient. I highly recommend them and would have no doubt in hiring them again!

FDuring local move, a king mattress was damaged to the point it cannot be slept on- apparently broken springs. The mattress was perfect the morning prior to move, and problem discovered the first evening after moving. Problem reported the next morning. I had to make multiple contacts to company via phone calls, texting, emails in order to get response. I requested on site inspection, which was denied. I requested paperwork to initiate a claim, which was denied. They asked for a photograph, and denied my claim based on the photograph, citing manufacturer defect. The mattress was purchased new five years ago, kept in guest room, slept on less than 20 times in the course of ownership. I had slept on it two weeks prior to the move due to illness which kept me from my own bed. It was perfect. We had guests two weeks prior to our move. They reported that it was great. The company was happy to take my $$, and I was happy to pay, even generously tipping the men. I DID expect follow up customer service in the event of an issue. There has been NONE. I have operated a design company for 30 years, and put customer service at top priority in my company. I would recommend that you look elsewhere for a moving company- do your research, people. And I’m hopeful that Angie’s list will reconsider their endorsement.

AThis is the fifth time I have used Quality Moving Services. They always deliver a superb moving experience. The movers are personable, professional, courteous, careful, prompt and efficient. They have never broken or lost anything or caused any damage. They always show up on time, exactly as arranged beforehand. The planning and communication with the office is excellent, and everything works without any hiccups. I really can't say enough about how great their service is, and although I won't need movers again for a while, I will use them. I won't even shop around, because their rates are extremely reasonable for the high quality service they deliver. I give them my highest recommendation.

DI would never recommend this company to anyone. We received quotes from multiple movers, and this company quoted us fairly competitive for an interstate move. Before selecting them as our movers, we called back to go over everything we had again - just to be sure we were on the same page as to cost based on amt of items, etc. The day of the move, after loading the truck, we were told our cost would be DOUBLE the estimate. They also mentioned, "Don't worry, this happens 90% of the time." So, basically I was told that this company price gouges in order to get a seat at the table, then once they have your stuff they hold you hostage for a higher price? That is extremely un-ethical to me. As they moved our stuff, the movers dropped multiple boxes on the way to the truck - our large TV was shattered in the move, along with mirrors and artwork. Do yourself a favor and use another company - even if the rates look attractive. I promise they won't be by the time they load the truck.

FArrangements were made for them to move our household from one house to another. The company never showed up. All calls to the company went unanswered and the voicemails were unavailable for us to leave messages. Horrible service. We were relying upon them to move us and then had to scramble to find another company to have us moved into our new house on time. My wife even took the day off so that she could be available for the movers. Horrible customer service.

F**PLEASE, DO NOT BECOME VICTIM OF JACOB AND SONS. BEWARE OF THIS FRAUDULENT/THIEVING/MORAL-LESS COMPANY.** I recently became victim to Jacob and Sons’ scam. If you care about your belongings, time and faith in the decency of others, please, take my experience as evidence and use another moving company. Jacob and Sons’ employees have no ethical boundaries, and I have no doubt they will soon be exposed. Jacob and Sons confirmed they had a Jacob and Sons branch and a secure/gated warehouse in New Jersey where they assured me that my items would be stored in a secure wooden crate in their facility, separated and protected from any other person’s items until I was ready to reach my final destination this Spring. Jacob and Sons also specifically told me that they do not hire third party companies to move their clients. All necessary criteria when I was choosing a moving company. On moving day, an aggressive man named Saul came to my apartment with my Jacob and Sons inventory list and demanded an additional $1,000. As soon as this occurred, I called, texted and emailed Jacob and Sons with no answer. I refused to pay the additional money but Saul agreed to move my belongings anyway. The entire move he treated my belongings like trash and broke several items. When I asked for my items to be treated with more care, Saul cursed at me and threatened to “throw my belongings on the side of the road and cancel the move all together.” I tried calling Jacob and Sons several more times, still with no response. After the distressing moving experience, Saul handed me paperwork with “Moving Express and Storage, Inc.” letterhead. After questioning the letterhead, Saul said he was hired by Jacob and Sons. I called Jacob and Sons yet again, still with no answer. I had signed a contract with Jacob and Sons, NOT Moving Express and Storage, Inc. I later googled “Moving Express and Storage, Inc” and encountered another traumatizing experience by reading the reviews at the link below. [*** Link removed ***] Moving Express and Storage has complaints of fraud, theft, bribery and extortion. I was lied to, manipulated, and scammed by Jacob and Sons. The next day, I called Marty, the Jacob & Sons representative I have been working with and there was still no answer. It has been over two weeks and Marty still has not answered one single phone call, text or email. After dozens of unanswered attempts, I was able to get a hold of Connie from Jacob & Sons Customer Service. Connie confirmed she had no idea who Moving Express and Storage was. Connie then stated that since I signed the paperwork from Moving Express & Storage on moving day, I was no longer contracted with Jacob and Sons, completely gaslighting me. Connie said that she was unaware of where my belongings were but she would “look into it.” Over the next few days, I had no idea where my belongings were. After several days, Jacob and Sons admitted that my belongings were in Moving Express and Storage’s warehouse in New Jersey. Jacob and Sons LIED about having a facility in New Jersey and I wanted to retrieve my belongings immediately. I drove to NJ to pick up my belongings. The Moving Express & Storage warehouse was FILTHY, and would likely not pass any form of quality control inspection (photos attached). I have items that are missing/stolen. There was water damage to my couch; my dresser, bedframe, cabinet, heirloom dresser and bench were broken, holes in boxes (photos attached). Since I have not yet opened all of the boxes rescued from the warehouse, I am still not able to determine the extent of all of the damage. Jacob & Sons is the ringleader of this entire scam. Jacob and Sons lied and did not fulfill one aspect of our agreement. Not only is Jacob and Sons refusing to accept any responsibility for what transpired, they are also refusing to refund the deposit I am owed. My calls have been ignored since I retrieved by belongings and now my emails are also being ignored. To Jacob and Sons Victims: Please report them to Federal Trade Commission and Better Business Bureau immediately. I worked in the News for several years and am in contact with former colleagues in national news organizations that specialize in stories like this. We have a legal case and a moral obligation to expose this shameful “company.” With everything going on in the world, this is the last thing people should be worried about. This was a truly traumatic experience that I wish for no one else to experience.
