  • We hired KLS Lawn care back in May because my mother was coming in town for mother's day weekend. We was excited to surprise my mom by the showing her well done lawn, pretty flowers and our new home. However, Keo took advantage of my husband and eye. I say this because we advise him that we are first time home buyers and knew nothing about lawn care and flowers. We told him we are city folks born and raised from up north. Keo assured us that we had noting to worry about in regard to his work results. We paid him $500 only to find out later he did not properly installed our flowers into the flower's beds. He purposely did not place the weeds blocker sheet covering on the flower's beds before planting flowers. We discovered it after seeing werd and grass growing around inside the flower's beds. We was extremely disappointed and more so hurt by this terrible experience because we work so hard to make our American dream come true. It was upsetting to see my husband redo the flower's beds on his day off which was July 4. I had to drive to lowes numerous times for my husband to get the items. We had to watch YouTube to learn the process. We called and text Keo the owner of the KLS Lawn service company and no response. Recently, my husband ran into and Keo said will make things right by us. We still haven't heard from him 2 months later. DO NOT CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH THIS UNTRUSTWORTHY PERSON BECAUSE HE IS THE EPITOME OF CON ARTIST!!! 😡😡😡

  • They did a very professional job at my mother's place in Newport News. I coordinated everything via phone with Carl at Sweat Brothers since I live out of the country. Carl came out for an estimate, and we then agreed to proceed on the work a week later. It took awhile to get into their schedule, but it was worth the wait. A crew came out and got the job done in 3-4 hours. And given the amount of work and quality of work, the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended. The only minor issue was communication sometimes too awhile, but that had as much to do to my schedule and timezone as anything on their end.

  • We had used another lawn care company for many years, but had an issue with weeds, so decided to switch to Spring Green for a year. On their second visit this past summer, David, an employee of Spring Green, spot treated our back yard for weeds. He did not spray the whole yard (thankfully), he carried a tank and walked around the back yard occasionally stopping and spraying a weed. His tank was leaking like a sieve, but we didn’t think anything of it until three days later when everywhere David walked and sprayed, the grass was dead. The owner of Spring Green, Nick Novellina came out that Monday and looked at the yard. Nick told us that the dead grass was from a fungus, that his employees do not carry any chemical that can kill grass. There were obvious trails of dead grass (I have lots of pictures), as if someone had taken Roundup and sprayed a pattern in the grass (which is what probably happened) but Nick tried to blame the homeowner rather than accept responsibility for his employees actions. Ursula Novellina sent a link via email that she said PROVED our grass had a fungus. The link she sent [*** Link removed ***] deals with a cool grass fungus. Our back yard is 95% Bermuda. Spring Green denied, denied, denied, as if they denied enough it would go away. And in a way it did, as I couldn’t get away fast enough. Nick was VERY pushy. He behaved as if his persistence alone could convince me that what we saw happen did not really happen. I hung up on him and blocked his phone number, and even then he emailed me to continue his argument saying, “we were disconnected”. I told him in writing that I didn’t want to talk to him, that nothing he said would change my mind. I KNEW Spring Green killed my grass. Thankfully, after two to three weeks of heavy rain, the grass is starting to grow back. Dealing with Spring Green was unpleasant enough (dead grass!), but it was compounded by having to deal with people who refuse to acknowledge a mistake, and try to pass the blame onto the homeowner.

  • It was hard to think when I shopped or waited for my food due to what I can only describe as disjointed music that constantly played in the background but was a little loud. I like Anderson's except for the loud music. I've been there a few times but will probably not go back due to the loud music that seems to constantly play. When I shop or go out to eat, I like to relax and if the store plays music, I like it to be relaxing. I may be influenced to some degree by research that indicates that some music played in public places can be an additional stressor for a majority of people, even when they don't realize it. I would place the music Anderson chooses to play for its customers in that category.

  • Justin did a wonderful job on my yard. He was always on time and very communicative with me on price, availability, and what he was going to do before he did it. My windows are cleaner than they have been in years!

  • Walt came out the day I called to give me a quote for the work we needed done. We had several weather delays, but Walt stayed in touch to keep me informed of his plans. Once there was a sufficient break in the weather for his crew to operate safely, Walt and his men came to do the work. Before starting, Walt reviewed the plan with me one more time to make sure they were removing the right trees and limbs. We had a large section of a tree growing toward our house with several of the branches touching the corner of the house. Any section that could possibly hit our house, our fence, or the neighbor’s work shed was tied off before the cutting began, and then guided safely to the ground after it was removed from the tree. They worked safely as a team to make sure the work was done well and without any damage to the buildings or fence. Once all of the limbs and tree sections had been removed, they cleaned up all of the leaves and small limbs that had fallen in the yard. After they were done, Walt reviewed the work with me to make sure they had done all that I was expecting. It was a very professional job and I highly recommend them.

  • TJ came by and spend some time reviewing the problem. He came back two weeks later and talked to my wife and she explained everything that we needed to get done. TJ provided a detailed work description of work to be completed. Over the next few weeks his crews came by and removed a concrete walkway, side deck-walkway and pulled about 3 ft of dirt away from the house. Overall they did a good job, the weather and other jobs caused minor delays but when they were on site the work got done quickly.

  • Walt and his crew pruned trees in the front and back of our house. During the operation it rained for a short while but the crew pressed on. When finished, they cleaned up and Walt asked me to check to see if I was happy with the results. I told him I was very happy. They showed up when they said they would and did a great job.

  • A to Z Cleaning And Organizing LLC were the first people to come into my home for a decade! The consulted with me during the whole purging and down sizing process. They even took the time and consideration of myself and my family's lifestyles when they were doing the organizing stages. Brooke went above and beyond my expectations! She is AMAZING! She's MORE than a cleaning and organizing business owner, she's talented. Brooke helped my friend with clearing out some property, taking useable items and fixing them or repurposing them then donating them to individual's in need! She also helped my friend out by cleaning the properties thoroughly. She even cleaned up the outside of properties in the yard, flower beds, gutters and shrubs. My friend said said Brooke IS a Jack of all trades! Thanks to Brooke and her never ending knowledge and eagerness to help other's, my friend sold the house Brooke staged for her one week later! A to Z Cleaning And Organizing is the BEST by far! They still clean for me, my property owner friend and several of our neighbor's.

  • The staff is over the top friendly. Everyone I interacted with (estimator, staff, work crew) was friendly and easy to work with A+. Scheduling C. Workmanship C. Cleanup A+. The estimator came out in January and said spring was the best time to do the work and I was scheduled for Monday, April 30. They had to reschedule last minute (unforeseen circumstances) which I understand. The problem occurred later; I received a call on Monday May 7 stating they'd be out early Tuesday morning -- I said NO, I need more than 24 hr notice ( I was a bit short with the receptionist). So they called back Wednesday May 16 to say they'd be out early Thursday morning -- This time I could accommodate the last minute reschedule; I apologized for being terse with the receptionist. I totally understand scheduling issues, but I think the re-schedule notice is way too short. About the work: they arrived on time; friendly, professional. The clean up was A++. However, the quality of workmanship was average. The young man doing the trimming worked from a bucket truck and anything he could reach, he trimmed. The result was aggressive trimming on the bucket side, minimal trimming on the other side. I even had to point out that he missed a large dead branch on the back side of the big oak. At this point, the bucket was in my back yard so he climbed from there into the tree to get to the dead branch. He was very friendly and accommodating, and even cut a couple of branches as a courtesy, as long as he could reach them from the bucket. Very nice young man. Other reviews are stellar, so maybe this is an anomaly. If you opt to use them, ask if you're getting a bucket crew or a climbing crew. I have some pics attached to show my trees. Honestly, the one that looks the worst didn't look great to begin with. It was already very thin on the side they trimmed, but I truly believe if the bucket was on the other side, they would have tried to balance the tree as much as possible. I have a second large oak next to the first one that actually needs more thinning than the other two, but I didn't realize it until the leaves came out. I'll call another company for this work. I'm not angry or irate; it just isn't quite what I expected the given the other reviews and the cost of the job.
