    The Lawn Barber

We bought the special of eight hours for $349. Ryan came out to consult on what needed to be done; he was on time and professional. We discussed what we wanted to be done, what areas to take care of, and he gave us a timeline of when things would be done. Unfortunately, I was unable to be there when the work was performed, but when I arrived (just after they left, I understand), the yard looked neat and exactly what we wanted. The beds were weeded and mulched, the yard was mowed and edged, our new plants were placed exactly how we wanted, the jungle of rose bushes at the side of the house was gone and any debris was cleaned up. At the moment, the only item left outstanding is waiting for the bill for the topsoil and mulch used. We will definitely be calling them again.

Very satisfied with the process and outcome; initial communication was excellent, with the first follow-up phone call from Chris within an hour of submitting an inquiry on the company's website.  Chris or TJ were prompt with replies throughout the process, from the initial estimate through the completion of the work.  The work was completed exactly as described and on schedule.
The finished product is excellent - the paver patio looks wonderful and is a huge improvement over the previous wood patio, and the new sod and mulch are a great compliment to the yard.
I would recommend this company to friends or family without hesitation!

    Dominion Pavers
We had 2 areas in mind for the patio. It weren't sure which to use. Taylor was super in helping us prioritize which to do first and recommended a paver that blended well with our deck color. The workers were quick and efficient. They even spread the leftover dirt from digging into some low lying areas in our yard! A couple of pavers loosened about a week after the job, but was fixed within a day after contacting Taylor. Can't say enough about the professionalism of Taylor and his team! We plan to call them back to do the other area next year.

    Belletto Construction Inc
Foremen and workers were professional, with a no nonsense work ethic.  Came back to inspect job after a period of rain to ensure it met their standard of workmanship.
I was impressed with their expertise in the trade.

Added sod, river rocks, junipers and pine straw to all areas affected by pool installation.  Also improved irrigation system, ensuring complete coverage of yard.  Lawncare's team was punctual, efficient and professional. Will use them in the future -- highly recommend them to anyone seeking landscape/irrigation services.  Great experience!

    Done Right Home Repair
We selected Done Right (DR) out of 3 estimates: they seemed reasonable, professional, and competent. The pergola, stamped concrete patio, and electrical outlet were planned for the backyard. The area is tight because it is in a corner outside the sun room and house wall, but DR made measurements and said it was adequate.
PERGOLA: Requested 10x10 ft, white vinyl, with simple slanted end caps rather than the usual decorative ends. We were told this was fine. They ordered a pergola and it had the correct end caps, but it was 7x7 ft. We measured it, found the item online and confirmed that it was indeed a 7x7 ft pergola. We called Done Right and told them of the problem. Their initial response was that the different style end caps are not available in 10x10 ft and 'we had emphasized' the importance of the slanted end caps, so they assumed this was a good pick for us (hmmm...49 SF of shade vs 100 SF). A new pergola (10x10 ft) was ordered and DR gave us $400 credit for the error. The new pergola was erected without any problems, but 2 of the 4 posts are crooked! The lean is easy to see and further emphasized next to the sun room (where the windows are vertical). At this point, I can only wait for the climbing vines I planted to grow bushy and thick to hide the ridiculously leaning posts.
PATIO: This took almost 3 months from start, with 2 months of frustration. The job was subbed out and DR did not do any oversight during the installation. The sub showed up on the day scheduled, but earlier than expected (on a Saturday morning before 7AM. Around 10 men showed up to do the stamped concrete patio, but only about half of them actually did work (the others came to socialize). The sub worked hard, got it done quickly, and it looked amazing. At the last step, he cut in the expansion joints and ruined the beautiful patio. The joints were crooked and he tried to fix it by widening them in spots (resulting in crooked and wide joints). Other things about the sub: lunch litter left all over the yard, dumped stained soil (from the concrete coloring) at the back of the yard and by our fruit tree, tools and equipment left all over the place, asked us for fuel for his equipment, gravel not cleaned up from driveway and road, and his friends came back to sell other services.
We called DR about the awful cuts and the owner came and admitted that this was a problem and he would fix it. A couple of options were discussed of which we were open to a few of them. The sub aggressively tried to convince me to accept his solution of further expanding the joints and installing a brick pattern in the line but this is not what we wanted. DR tried caulking the joints, but it was agreed this didn't look good. Over about 1.5 months, we went back and forth on how to fix it, we called DR often and sometimes they replied immediately and other times not for days. DR had another concrete company come in to see if it could be fixed, but they didn't see a good option. In all this time, the pergola was waiting on our lawn for the patio to be completed so between this and the other supplies, we were not able to mow the grass in this area of the backyard from for most of the summer. Finally, DR owner offered to return all of our patio money (100%-about half of the $5500) because he wanted us to be happy. We had him remove the patio (which he offered to let us keep) and all the rubbish and took our refund.
ELECTRICAL OUTLET: An outlet was installed on one of the pergola posts about 1.5 ft off the ground. The wiring (encased in a protective pipe) comes out of the patio ground and runs up the post to the outlet. The pipe was installed more than an inch from the base of the pergola post so it had to be bent so that the outlet box could be attached to the post. Now the piping is not parallel to the post but bent towards it. I guess the outlet works at least.

Rob was very accessible and personable before he was hired, and that continued while he was doing the work.
I had to go to China before the work was done, and I paid him in full before he completed the work because a) He seemed like a nice guy, and I didn't want him to wait two weeks to get all of his money; and b) My wife works 60 hours a week, and I didn't want her to have to worry about paying Rob while I was gone.
When I returned from China, the back yard bed wasn't weeded, and I hadn't received a receipt, which he promised to provide numerous times, so I called him. I left a message, but he didn't return the call. He didn't return the next two calls either.
In hindsight, Rob cut corners. When I asked him to weed the back yard bed and dig up all the roots, he instead applied Roundup, which he later conceded didn't kill all the weeds. I didn't get to see if he properly weeded the front bed because when I got home from work, it was covered with mulch, but I doubt he dug up the roots, as I asked, because the weeds poked out of the mulch less than a week later. And when he planted the tree and the bushes, he didn't remove any of the clay he dug out of the ground. Rather than get rid of it, he used it as a border around the plants and covered it with mulch.
For all of these reasons, I  wouldn't hire Rob again, but if you do, don't pay him until you're pleased with his work because after you pay him, he's gone. At least that was my experience.

    Gordon's Lawn Care
Mr. Gordon was punctual and went right to work. Even though he said he had installed ceiling fans before, he had some trouble with this one. When he finally finished, the light would not work. He ended up coming back about a week later with an electrician friend and fixed the fan so the light would work. Mr. Gordon was friendly and punctual.

    Dominion Pavers
Once we got on the schedule (the company is very busy this time of the year) the workers showed up around 1000 hours and started the project. The workers stayed and worked until about 2100 hours. They came back the next morning and worked until the project was finished. Mr. Taylor Adams came with the workers to start the project then left. He returned after the project was completed. We accepted the work. The work was done very well and I would use this company again. As a matter of fact we are discussing on having our driveway replaced with a paver driveway this winter when the work load is less and the cost would be a bit lower. My wife and I are very pleased with the work and the finished product.

Designer visited home several times to understand the detailed layout required by my desire to maintain an existing large wisteria arbor.  Total of 5 designs were developed to offer options, understand trade-offs, and optimize features that matched my budget.  Working with a professional designer opened up the project to ideas that had never crossed my mind.
Designer acted as general manager once the work began.  Kept me informed at all times, and was always available to answer questions.  The 4-person crew was made up of top notch professionals.  In addition to showing expert craftsmanship, they were punctual, tidy, and a pleasure to interact with.  They took great pride in their work, which certainly shows in the final product.
The resulting patio was completed on time and exactly on cost.  It has features that I never thought my budget could support such as multiple levels, broad stairs, and a seating wall around a large circular, fire pit area.
I expect to use this vendor in the future to expand the patio further and include an outdoor kitchen.  I highly recommend this vendor to anyone interested in new ideas for outdoor landscaping and living areas.  Both the design and construction work was outstanding.
