Port Warwick Dental Arts - Dr. Lisa Marie Samaha
She is an excellent dentist who delivers overall comprehensive care. She educates her patients about periodontal diseases. She also has an artistic flair when it comes to designing her products. Se is competent and believes in a holistic way of seeing and treating the patient.

Dr. Pham is amazing.  She has gentle hands and she makes sure nothing can hurt before she starts to work.  She is patient and kind with an admitted 'dental drill phobic'.

The office will work with just about any insurance.  They give discounts for cash.  The almost always have a coupon running for cleaning, x-rays, etc.  They will work with you.

    VCU School of Dentistry
My personal experience was excellent. I had a 3rd year dental student to do my cleaning and she was excellent. For the crowns because I needed a little more in-depth work, they sent me upstairs which I think, but I am not sure, are actual private practice dentists that work through the school somehow or something, but they actually did the crowns. Dr. Betzhold was the  was the one that did it and he was very good. The office environment depends on if you are just getting teeth cleaning and all. You are like in a cubicle in a bullpen area for persons, but they do that because they have licensed dentists watching over the students. I understand why they do that and it really did not bother me that much at all. Their punctuality is actually very good. They were all very nice. They were all excellent. They seemed to know exactly what they were doing and as well as a dentist that I had gone to years ago that I had gone to for years. She was really very good.

He also did my braces. They're personable and very positive. They're very much about your pain management and that making sure you don't experience anything or very little pain. They work with you with your billing and they accept most major dental insurance. They accept Delta dental. They also pay for referring customers. He was very patient. They pay you 25 or 30 bucks for referrals, not many place do that.

    Denison, Dr. John J.
I really like him and I think that he is a really good dentist. We have been with him for at least 21 years. He is very good and takes the time to explain everything. If I have questions, he doesn't rush me, and he will answer all of my questions. Both my husband and I have been going to him for a very long time and we have been very pleased with him and his dental staff. If I have a problem, he will do his best to work me in. We will stay with him.

He's really good. If you want to get something new, he's providing you with access to dental insurance. So you get a good price down there. I go to him because he's so good he can do things that perhaps some other dentists cannot do. He fits you right in there if you have an emergency. Everybody there is great. I've been using him now for about ten years.

    William G Harper DDS
We go every six months. The staff is very nice and it is a nice office. They got me in on time and they only work four days a week. He is pricey but a good dentist. I haven't had any problems with them.

    Stockburger, Dr. Daniel G.
    Egad.
My experience:  Stockburger couldn't fix the bridge and suggested a root canal and implant.  NO.  So I opted to have a tooth pulled and get a removeable dental partial.  The day of the tooth pull, he said he couldn't do and sent me elsewhere.  THEY were great.  In the several visits after to make the partial, he caused unexpected pain when he could easily have warned me it was coming.  I nearly choked on the filler used to make the mold for the partial.  Midway through him planing down my tooth, he left for 15 minutes during which time the anesthesia wore off and he didn't think to check if it was still at full strength when he returned.  PAIN.  In addition, turns out he took that 15 to take a huge number 2.  How do I know?  I smelled it and the hygienists remarked on it to each other within my hearing and took to opening windows and spraying air freshener.  Disgusting.
My husband:  during dental cleaning, Stockburger broke two of my husband's teeth.
Office staff is nice but too informal.  Plays the same music on a loop - the soundtrack to Last of the Mohicans.  Is a Christian and refuses to allow Bon Appetit magazine in the waiting room because of the alcohol featured.
    Borders on the incompetent.

    Parrott, Dr. Thomas
I have been using his services since 2008. I did have a fear of going to the dentist, but going to visit Dr. Parrott, all of my fears were put at ease. They do IV sedation, so if I have to get a root canal or major work, they offer this to me. It gets rid of my all worries and they don’t make me feel bad about needing it. Now I look forward to visiting the dentist!

Dr Steven C Mingos & Associates LLC
When I first greeted, the receptionist was absolutely delightful & remembered me from when I booked the appointment a few weeks prior. I had just added another insurance, so was confused about the billing process, and they were more than accomodating (& not pushy at all, which is such a nice change from other doctors' offices!). The dental hygienist was super friendly and we laughed the whole time. Overall, fantastic experience - I almost can't wait to go to the dentist again...
