What Are the Benefits of Buying an Electric Car?

Car Dealership reviews in Newport News

They car is very high tech and had a few quirks in the system and had to take it back a couple of times to repair. It is all under warranty and they give my wife another car to drive if they needed to keep the car. They did all the repairs quickly and professionally.

They are very good, not cheap. I haven't had to take anything back. I'm very excited with. I contact them with my problems. They aren't cheap, but I don't mind paying for the work. I did have to take it back one time, and they fixed it with no charge. I had other problems, and they said it was alright, don't worry about it. Very good. With the service I'm getting, its a good price. Least I know when they said they changed the oil and filter, its change. Not like the other place, I still had dirty oil. Quality is good. I never got the car back dirtier than it was, which means a lot to me. They respect your vehicle. They respond quickly. If If I have to leave a message, they get right back to me. There was one time they couldn't meet my schedule, and it wasn't their fault. It snowed, and the deliveries was cancelled, and they were real good about telling me about it. Until they do me wrong, I will use them. Its always done right, never have to take it back.

I was looking for a new car. Really dreading it because the last time I bought a car I got a pushy, rude salesman. But I used the internet and spoke on the phone to Brandon. He was really nice. Sent me info. Then I went into the dealership and met Frank Spencer. He was so nice. Walked all over the lot showing me cars. Gave me a sheet of paper and pen and let me make notes on prices. I didnt buy that day but came home and did a little research and saw their prices were lower than other dealers in the area. I went onto the website and looked at inventory - found a car I liked and told Brandon. Went back the next day and drove the car and wrote a check out. Everyone wanted to make sure I didnt need anything, was happy, no questions. And have followed up with me several times. Will definitely purchase from them again.

We have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealership. They are fair and honest. We trust them explicitly. We recently obtained estimates from 3 dealerships to change the oil, rotate tires, and get a front-end alignment. The estimates ranged from $350 to $400 from the other two dealerships. We happened to catch a Hall Ford special they had going on for oil change, rotate/balance tires. Our cost was a little higher because the oil required for the 2007 Audi is a synthetic oil which is more expensive. We would highly recommend Hall Ford in any purchase or service decisions that you're making.

We have purchased four vehicles from them in the last few years.  They took my old car in on consignment.  Cleaned and detailed, checked it mechanically, plus did a minor repair to a quarter panel. Gerald advised me on pricing, did all the advertising, and brought me a good offer.  They handled everything and all I needed to do was go back and pick up the check.

It was slow, I did not like that. It might be a general issue with buying cars, not necessarily specific to them. They gave me a lot of attention. They were very helpful and interested in negotiating. They followed up within a month and I appreciated that.

They do all my car repairs, oil changes and that was where I bought my last couple of cars. I did not pay anything because when someone buys a car there, they get service free for so many years. The workers there are very friendly and professional. They provide excellent customer service.

We were told that if we purchased the car that day, they would replace a cracked door hinge and also replace two worn tires. We put the car on on our credit card and came back the following Monday to pick up the car. The tires were replaced, however, the hinge was not. Jamie, one of the owner's said, "I oiled it, for you." I told him, that is not what we agreed on. Furthermore, we were told, the title for the vehicle would be in that week. We were going to finance the car through our credit union for our son to help build his credit. We had to make numerous calls back to Goodes, to which one one them told my husband they had 30 days to produce a title legally. This is true, however, they produced the title on the last Friday on the 28th day before the temporary registration ran out. My son was constantly getting pulled over by the police because the tags had fallen off. They did fax us over another copy, but they kept giving us the run around. It got to the point where we were unable to drive the car, and we had to work with our bank to hold off on my son's loan. They finally fixed the car hinge only after weekly calls on the 28th day. They may sell you a car, but make sure they produce the title and you have everything before you drive off the lot. I thought I trusted these guys. If you talk to the woman there, she was very rude to my husband, and yelled at him. Jesse, on the other hand, seemed like he was in a rock between a hard place. You feel kind of bad for him.

We were told to never get rid of this car its a really good car. I traded in another car for this one. I will no longer use their auto service there and they are always trying to find something wrong with it. They are also trying to sell me alot of extra warranties which I don't need.

December 17th: My husband and I leased a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn from Travis Parker. Travis was great is showing us various options, and if he didn't have an answer, he went to get one. Of course, we went through the whole, "Let me go to the back..." once the financial aspect was brought up. (This is one reason why I love Carmax, they do everything up front with you. There are no "back rooms"!) Anyway, we ended up leasing because this was a pricey truck, and while we did benefit from some rebates, it was still mid $30k. Leasing was not an issue as we had researched the option prior to shopping.Once we decided we wanted the truck, we had one stipulation - they put the custom sport hood on it. We paid the $900+ for the hood, and they told us it would be in within a few days. We also paid $400 for an environmental protection package, which we felt would help in keeping the truck in pristine condition during the lease time. We left, happy customers. We were pleased and felt that we got a good deal and that they would work hard to get their end of the deal wrapped up, ASAP.
December 20th: Were supposed to get the leasing papers to sign, but nothing.
    December 21st: Nothing.
December 22nd:Alex, who does the financial transactions for the dealership, called and said he was out of the office the day prior and couldn't get our paperwork together until that day (Wednesday). We signed the lease papers - they even brought them to Newport News for us to sign (about 40 miles from the dealership)!
December 23rd: We call the dealership to find out the status on the hood...they tell us they could not order it until the leasing papers were signed. Therefore, it would not be there until the following week.
December 26th-December 30th:My husband is off all week and tries to get the status of this hood, to no avail. The hood has yet to arrive, be painted, and put on the truck.
January 5/6th: Finally get word that the hood is ready to be installed and the environmental package to be applied to the entire truck. "Can you bring the truck Wednesday, January 11th at 8:30am?" OF COURSE! GET THE THING ON! Now of course they cannot come and get it to do this, but could bring the lease to be signed. Naturally.
January 11th: Husband goes out, drops the truck off, gets a rental (comped by Hall) and they tell him it'll be ready...tomorrow.
January 12th: Husband goes to pick it up around lunch time. He had asked to get splashguards put on the truck as well, and they said they could do that for $66/pair. We tried to get them for no cost, since we had been through such an inconvenience. The manager was never available, so noone could "authorize" the splashguards being free. Asked for a discount? Nothing. Get the bill...~$200. $75 for labor.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?  Before leaving, my husband told them to take them back. They said it'll be another $75 labor to remove them.  But offered him two oil changes and two tire rotations for free...but of course he has to bring the truck to Va Beach (again, 40+ miles away).
