When our barn roof blew off, they surprised us by replacing it for several thousand dollars LESS than their estimate because, they explained, the support structure didn't need as much work as they had expected. They could have charged the quoted price and we wouldn't have known the difference! We have since used them for all the other roofs on our farm, and have been completely satisfied in every regard. I wouldn't consider using another metal roofing contractor.

They were one of three companies that worked up quotes on replacing the system. Custom Air Solutions had the best price and the BEST financing. Their work was professionally done and on schedule. They were referenced by our electrician who had just had a system installed at his house. We have already given their name to another prospective system buyer.

I am very particular about things in general (very OCD!), and David was patient enough to work with me. I could not have asked for better results. He definitely went above and beyond my expectations. I was also quite impressed with the timing. He was able to complete this project within a weeks time. He is very reliable, trustworthy and professional (I was able to trust him in my home while I went to work, and I came back to everything being cleaned and orderly). David is extremely talented, and i highly recommend him!

When the service person arrived to replace the UV light bulb (before a time-out alarm would begin), he informed me that our bulb couldn't be replaced and that he had to install a new system or else the alarm would begin sounding continuously. Unfortunately I believed him, and authorized him to do that. But apart from the fact that his installation ran water pipes in front of a permanent bookcase, when my wife (who was familiar with our system) got home from travel, she told me that the bulb we needed was available in local plumbing supply shops, so he SHOULD have been able to replace it. Then we discovered that besides misleading me and doing a poor installation job, he had removed our previous UV system, which was only 2 years old and cost about $600. When we contacted Culligan/Stoner Enterprises they said our equipment had been discarded and couldn't be returned to us. After a long period of attempting to get the company to redress the problems and do something to make this right, I was called by a senior manager/owner who very rudely informed me that they would do nothing to correct this situation, even the unauthorized disposal of our property, and that he expected to be paid in full.

Service was outstanding! Written estimate provide in detail. We were able to choose to do several items ourselves, the cost of which was deducted from the final bill.

Workers arrived and departed promptly and on schedule. Workers were friendly and courteous.

Work area was kept exceptionally clean and free of dust during work. At completion of the job, the jobsite was restored to it's original condition.

    Job was completed on time.

I would have these guys back in a heartbeat! Did a super job and recommended without reservation!

they assisted in the original layout of replacement  and new windows. They came up with a unique solution to several half round "treatments" above the window on our front porch. They installed, insulated, caulked and painted (if needed) on the exterior of windows. They were friendly and professional in all our dealings.

We first used Bob Alger about 35 years ago to build a custom kitchen for us. We were very pleased to find he was still building cabinets.
My wife, I and Bob designed the cabinetry needed for our unique space in a home we were remodeling. We decided on the style of doors and drawers, the finish, the Corian Counter tops and ?turned him loose?. WE gave him the appliance dimension
sheets and when the appliance crew came, it all fit like a glove. They also did crown molding in the same cherry, with the same finish as the cabinets.
Bob also built a 9 foot long custom display and storage cabinet to fit in space in the room next to the kitchen. When they installed it, there was less than 1/8 of an inch clearance. people assume the cabinet had originally been built in,We also had purchased a mobile island from an unfinished shop (because the kitchen was too small for afixed island), sanded it and gave it to Bob to paint it the same color as the 9 foot cabinet. We were especially pleased with the paint and stains finishes used. They matched a paint color we had given them. Community Kitchens used the same paint colors on the crown molding they put up in the room next to the kitchen. Visitors are surprised to find out that Community Kitchens had not built it also.
They also built our master bath cabinet which had to fit specific dimensions they also crafted the Corian counter tops here.
We feel their work is excellent. The kitchen can be the mainfocus of a house and we love their work. The cabinets and counter tops work as we had designed. The work was as we designed and the costs were as contracted.

Ed Heatwole is excellent contractor! He took our ideas, offered suggestions if he had better way to do something and finished the work beyond our expectations. He finished under budget and we are totally satisfied. Ed is one you can totally trust. We would recommend him to anyone needing renovation or new construction. We had some new products we wanted used in our construction. He adapted to the new ideas and handled them. Ed did interior renovations: moving walls, moving doors, interior window and door trim. He added a pantry and utility room into our over sized garage. The subs he brought in to work on the house were very good as well. They were experienced, did the work as agreed upon - or better. These were roofing, plumbing, drywall, masonry work, excavating and guttering. He has a very good list of subs from which to draw and they were professional and courteous. He added a large screened in porch with pediment roof. He used a new "invisible screening" product. He added a deck off the porch and a balcony off our master bedroom. We think he is a contractor's version of a Boy Scout (Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Cheerful, Thrifty, Reverent). The figure of $58,000 paid to Ed Heatwole does not include monies paid directly to sub contractors, nor for items purchased directly. We consider Ed Heatwole a good friend.

Laverne Delp is a Master Electrician. It showed on the work he did for us. We had purchased a home built in 1982 and it had wiring issues. Mr. Delp not only had to wire the renovation part of the house, he had to do a fair amount of re-wiring to have the house run properly. He made sure a whole house generator we installed worked to the circuits we wanted to run in an emergency. He fixed electrical issues that had bothered us since we purchased the home two years ago.

We upgraded our service due to our woodworking shop and he worked with Dominion Power to get new wiring to the house and new meter installed.

He did the wiring and lighting of the additions to the house: recessed lights, ceiling fans, wall mounted lights, floods, ceiling hung light and exterior outlets.

He was meticulous and tracked all he did. The invoices were very detailed as to work done and materials used.

The $14,000 listed as paid included all materials he used except some lighting fixtures we purchased separately.

We intend to use Laverne for any electrical work we may need in the future and would wholeheartedly - and already have - recommend him to anyone needing an electrician.

We found him on Angies List

We had 3 bidders. J L Davis Roofing had the best quality materials at the best price. Another bidder had offered lesser quality materials for more than $1,000 more and another bidder had several options from which to choose, ranging from $5,000 to $7,500 to $10,000 higher than the Davis price.
Davis roofing came when they said they would be there. The only times they did not work was in rain or threat of severe thunderstorms (several times). Came on a Saturday to finish the job by the time our builder needed completion of the roof.
They found an area around the chimney that needed a new cricket in order for them to finish. They coordinated with the builder to get it done in time. They saw a small area that had deteriorated plywood and they replaced it (within the quote).
They used 30# felt. Cleaned the site up well.
