I had the pleasure several years ago of bumping into Vin Scully on the streets of Atlanta. I introduced him to my 12 year-old son as the Dodgers Hall of Fame broadcaster. Likewise, Bill Anderson is a true Hall of Famer in the rarefied air of the classic car world. With a career as a professional engineer; with his decades of automotive mechanics experience; with his leadership in organizations such as the Buick Heritage Alliance; with his authorship of acclaimed publications on all facets of vehicle restoration; and with his training as a credentialled consultant, it would be practically impossible for me to imagine finding anyone with comparable subject matter expertise, knowledge, and wisdom to illuminate all aspects of classic car restoration. Bill Anderson is authentic, honest, and a man of excellent character. The guidance and advice Bill supplied me was invaluable. in addition to helping me shape a practical project plan, his recommendations saved me dollars - in the tens of thousands!

Went well. No charge when they could not find a reason for a slow tire leak, but they had checked all possibilities and explained different factors that could be causing the leak and reasons why these might not be detectable. I have used Leete Tire over the years for occasional tire purchase and repair. They have always been helpful, professional, and informative. I would use this business again.

They were courteous, they seemed like they were a very good company to take your car to. Their parts they use are after market parts, they don't guarantee, if they put that part on my car and three weeks later, a month later it falls off after driving and hitting bumps, the insurance company doesn't back that. The staff was friendly, very knowledgeable, the place was clean, very organized. The place was very clean, very presentable.

This is the second time I have used these people. They called me to confirm and again to let me know they were on the way. They were prompt, on time and remembered me even though it had been over three years. I received a follow up call to make sure everything was alright. I will always use Wise Cracks in the future and wish to recommend them to others.

They are just very punctual. They are honest about how long it will take to complete the service. If my husband or I go, we get pretty much the same service. They always seemed to rotate the tires for free and I know that's not always the standard service. I think they are very honest and trustworthy people.

They are very friendly and do the work promptly. They work with you if you show up without an appointment. They do a good job and don't charge you for things you don't need. They are a professional group.

I needed an alignment done on my 2005 Toyota. The staff were pleasant and took the vehicle into the shop area and performed their overall check of the vehicle before beginning the task I had requested. Then the manager approached me. Because I am female, I guess he felt he had a suitable victim because he began to go through a list of problems that his mechanic had found. This included the fact that my radiator was showing signs of leaking and needed to be replaced and that new struts were recommended--these were the major items. He regaled me with a story that I think was intended to frighten me into opening my wallet--about how his own wife's car had had similar signs and her radiator blew up or some similar catastrophe and she was stranded, etc. He presented me with an estimate for the work of approximately $1,500.

What he apparently couldn't discern is that my family takes impeccable care of our cars. We change the oil according to the manufacturer's schedule and have all regular scheduled maintenance performed. My regular car place never mentioned anything to me about these issues, and it follows Toyota's scheduled maintenance plans for this vehicle, so parts are replaced when needed. If there is a need for additional work or replacement parts, my regular mechanic informs me, explains the problem, and tells me if a repair is necessary right then or, say, in 10,000 miles.  Our cars are garage kept and we keep our garage floor is very clean--and there are no stains or signs of leaks on the floor--plus, my husband would notice something like this. So I asked to look at the engine and radiator with the mechanic and talk to him about the problem. The mechanic seemed a bit less panicked about the situation. He showed me some minor, powdery residue around the radiator which he said might mean that a little fluid could be coming out during engine operation and then drying up. He said it was not a major problem, just something about which I should be aware.

I turned down all the suggested maintenance except the alignment, which had been my original need. I chose alignment with a one-year guarantee; i.e., I could get a free alignment within the next year if needed. My regular car maintenance shop has not found anything wrong with my radiator or struts since then. I will not ever return to this Merchant's for anything--unless I want to hear another dramatic story about the next Armageddon that my car is facing.

My overall evaluation of F is not based on the work performed, but on my impression that the manager attempted to dupe me into paying more than 10 times what I expected to pay for work that probably wasn't necessary--certainly not at that time.

Mac is a great guy. He is honest. The people who work for him are great. They always give extra service even when I take my car in for just an oil change. They are very friendly. They are very fair. They are very trustworthy. I?m very happy with them.
