    ParTime Movers LLC
We hired this company to provide labor for moving furniture and items around our house and property. Don was professional, courteous and helpful in scheduling the appointment. He accommodated our need with a shorter minimum, and the clock started when the 2-man crew arrived, which was a little early on the appointed afternoon. Marcus and Lee were very professional, courteous and careful. Everything went great. I would not hesitate to hire them again if the need arises. A+

    Worth Moving
Just used Wort Moving after selling residence in N. Chesterfield and moving into new home in Matoaca. Filled the truck up with our belongings and unloaded working around the muddy conditions existing with the newly constructed home. They protected our hardwood floors and were very conscientious around the freshly painted walls and woodwork. The four man crew worked steady through completion and came in under quote. The guys were awesome; polite and professional. I highly recommend Worth Moving. It was nice to spend money for a service and have our expectations exceeded.

    Mid-Atlantic Moving & Storage
My move was from two 10x20 storage units into a brand new 5-bedroom home. I had a few larger items that they were notified of while providing a quote and paid additional fees to ensure their safe handling. My descriptions of the property were accurate, and I was quoted $1300-$1450 for the move with a crew of 5 and two trucks. The day of the move things started out poorly from the beginning. I was instructed to expect them around 08:30 at my storage units where I had a representative standing by while I was handling other appointments at my house. They did not arrive until almost 10:15. The first truck was packed well and efficiently, however the 2nd truck items were just thrown in without consideration for space and this resulted in them having to leave behind a large table saw in the unit. When they arrived at the house, they asked if they could park their large truck in my freshly paved driveway. I immediately informed them that they couldnt as the driveway is not rated for such a load and they were not too thrilled with this response. I then inquired about protection for my home such as door guards, floor mats and stair runners. I was instructed that they had none. As previously stated my home was brand new with no damage to walls, doors, or floors. I had personnel inside the house directing them to rooms as materials were coming in and I stayed outside to coordinate the unloading efforts. First efforts were what I would expect as my belongings were going to the appropriate areas. As the unloading continued, I noticed more and more boxes were getting dropped in my garage or in the basement storage that were intended to be placed in other rooms. These were dropped off without asking where they should go. The heavy items that I mentioned earlier were taken apart against my better judgement. When moved they sat part of it on the floor of the garage and damaged the bottom of the unit. I pointed out to the crew and they shrugged their shoulders. When moving furniture up to the top floor of the home as well, they scratched my hardwood floor landing in multiple places and did considerable damage to the walls. All of this could have been avoided by providing floor protection as requested. As the unloading continued, it became clear that the crew provided was going to go well beyond the time and amount I was quoted. This was after my family and I started grabbing boxes from the back of the truck and moving them into the home ourselves to expediate the process. I signed out at the end of the move with a final bill of $2315. This was almost $1000 more than quoted and those overages were caused by the inefficiency of the crew. Having to go back to the storage unit to pick up the table saw added another 30 minutes to the rate which could have been corrected by packing the truck better. I notified the company within 7 days of damages observed and gave a conservative estimate of $1389 between my home and the belongings that they moved. I also informed them that I didnt wish to receive compensation for these damages but would prefer that they provided a carpenter/painter to make the repairs to the dwelling for an even wash. Their response came 30 days later with an amount of $100 being offered to me as a courtesy while also citing their liability waiver. I do not dispute that I signed this waiver during the move process and completely acknowledge it, however the waiver does not give them carte blanche rights to destroy my personal property and home. I have used professional movers for local and long distance moves several times over the years and have never had one not provide protection in the home or not honor their client by performing repairs to the structure or provide adequate compensation for items that were destroyed. I responded to their offer and provided them with a copy of a review that I would post outlining my experiences and asked them if they were willing to reconsider the offer. Their response was to ask me what I would be willing to take in lieu of the $100 offered. I generously cut my claim by more than 50% to an amount of $600 that would cover the cost of a professional to come and sand/stain my stairs and perform the repairs to my walls that were damaged. Again, I offered to allow them to provide a painter to perform this work as opposed to seeking monetary compensation. Their official response was that they considered the original offer of $100 to be rejected by me and they rescinded the offer and considered the matter settled. Essentially the counter offer that was provided, at their request, allowed them to withdraw the $100 that they had already offered me. They response stated that they take customer service very seriously and sincerely regret that were unable to work together for a more successful resolution of your claim. How can one be expected to work together when you ask for an adjusted amount and then suspend negotiations immediately upon receiving the counter offer? Based on their inaccurate quotes, inefficiency of the crew, lack of protection for personal property, and their procedures for addressing customer complaints, I could not in good faith recommend MidAtlantic/Southside Moving and Storage for any move. I would point you in the direction of a larger commercial carrier who prides themselves in customer service. As a disclaimer, I did provide them with a copy of this review prior to them breaking contact with me and adequate time to acknowledge my complaints prior to posting. Their response was that the original decision to close the claim stands and that this matter is now settled.

    Bos Moving Company Inc
The entire crew of three could not have been more responsive or polite. Nothing was to much to ask them to do. We sold our beach house and moved the contents to four different locations. Later in the fall they are moving some of the items to Florida for us. Truly hard working team that wants to find a way to make your move easy.

All My Son Moving & Storage
Terrible service. Very dishonest company. Underbid and overcharged by 61% (yes, that is the exact amount). Tried customer service and they kept sending me to "send any customer sat issues to this email box"......which is an email box nobody responds too. Poor service, dishonest people within the sales arm and the operations arm. Never again.

    Worth Moving
I just needed something picked up and brought to the house, and the service was excellent! I asked them on a Sunday if they could pick it up during the week, and they bent over backwards to fit me into their schedule and completed the move the very next day!

    Worth Moving
I can't state enough how happy I was with Worth Moving and the employees that work for the company. I sold my house (March 2017) and needed to move to an apartment while my new house was being built. The owner (Matt) gave me an accurate quote on how long it would take to move each time. His crews were professional and very hard working. They did not take unnecessary breaks and were moving at a good pace the entire move both times. The second move (Apartment to new house October 2017) went amazingly smooth. They loaded my apartment up then went to my storage unit to get the rest of my stuff. All of my belongings were wrapped properly and nothing was damaged in either move. They took great care not to damage anything in the house or apartment. The crews were friendly. Just recently I (Feb 2018) contacted Worth to help me move an elliptical that had been sitting at a friends house since we moved (over a year). Based on the amount of referrals that I gave him after both my moves he completely hooked me up with a price that was unbeatable from any other moving company. Worth Moving is definitely Worth the price and peace of mind and I would use them again any time.

All My Son Moving & Storage
Imagine you have just spent six months building the house of your dreams. You selected a moving company that you thought would do a great job All My Sons. Just like nearly every other moving company there was a mix of good and bad reviews; but you were swayed by the local manager who was super helpful in answering any questions and making you feel like you were a valued customer almost like family. There were a few red flags you noticed, instead of using furniture dollies or lifting straps, they are individually and manually carrying heavy, large items down. This causes them to drop your washing machine, elliptical, a garage cabinet, almost drop the grill, and scratch your doors trying to get furniture out of the house. They insisted on parking on the driveways, despite your protests. During the unload you offer to start bringing some items in since half the crew is MIA. After trip number three you are told that maybe you shouldnt be lifting a nightstand because youre a woman. As you carry it upstairs, one of the other crew members sees you and offers to take it because, once again, women shouldnt be lifting. So youre left standing around watching them unload, you notice a complete disregard for your belongings. Theyre quickly sliding boxes down the length of the truck shouting batters up, sliding a bookcase along its side down the length of the truck without a furniture pad protecting it. After the move is done, you walk through your brand new house and notice several spots where they hit and damaged several of the walls, found two rips in your vinyl laundry room from where they shoved the washing machine around, which now has two bent feet. You find a damaged door frame with corresponding damage to a large wooden dresser that has been in your family for 4 generations. Not to mention a broken buffet, four damaged bookcases, damaged tool chest, or the 4 pot holes in your brand new driveway. You head to your old house and discover empty rolls of tape and plastic thrown about, several scratches to both your hardwood and laminate floors. Both the front and back doors were damaged, and more than a dozen new scratches and dents on the walls. So you call the local manager and the corporate line for All My Sons to let me know how you were treated and what state they left the houses. They told you to document everything and submit a claim. In the initial claim you list all of the household goods damaged as per their request and write a detail account and provide pictures of the damages to the goods and properties. You submit the claim within their seven day window. Two weeks later you receive the first extremely low offer. On the acceptance form they include a statement that upon acceptance you would not say or post any derogatory remarks about the company. After reviewing and rejecting their offer and include a breakdown of the cost per item, the estimated cost per repair, and request a refund for the amount of time three of the crew members stood around rather than working. A few weeks later they offer to increase it to about 10% of the total claim. After calling and speaking to a representative you explain again that you would like the damages covered. They insist on quotes, and you provide them. After almost three months, they offer you a settlement of 26% of the claim. Youve tried working with the company and with the BBB, but are getting nowhere. At this point, its been over seven months since you moved and youre still waiting on All My Sons to make this right. You dont feel like family, like you did when you were in the process of scheduling your move. Instead, you feel like your time was milked for money by a crew that didnt care if they broke your belongings or disrespected you.
