ALonestar Siding & WindowsVery well. We were informed on a regular basis when the work would start and when the supplies dumpster and other items would arrive. Once everything arrived, the Lonestar staff began the process of removing the old siding and replacing it with the new siding. Partly through the process, the new storm doors were installed. All of this took about 10 days. The staff were very attentive to detail and really took pride in their work. Finally, the new gutters were installed. All in all, a job well done.- GERALD M.

AC L Wright Roofing IncThe business owner, Charles Wright, climbed up on my roof for the inspection and quote. The office manager, JoAnne Wright, sent me an email with the schedule and the preparation I was to do (access to driveway & debris may fall through skylight opening). The on-site supervisor was a long time employee who knew roofing and answered my questions; the work was performed well (I watched some of the work from a 2nd floor window) and all debris was removed. The gutter installation was excellent and interesting to watch. One man made the seamless gutters, some 45 feet long, and installed them himself. I highly recommend C. L. AElman's ContractorsClass Act! A True High-Quality Contractor As we embarked on an exterior renovation of our 44-year-old home that included new windows, siding, doors, gutters, and columns. We were nervous as this was surely going to be a large sum of money and a headache for a week or two. Prior to deciding on hiring Elman’s Contractors we got prices from 3 other companies which were $5-$8K higher in price then Elman. Also, the other contractors didn’t listen to our needs so we decided to hire Elman’s Contractors. Great Decision! Elman setup an appointment to meet at his material distributor so we could see and choose the materials to be used on our home. Due to COVID-19 manufacturer shutdowns the materials delayed our project as we needed all items on-site for the renovation to begin. Elman had the sales representative from Alside Distributors keep us updated on the material status. As the start day arrived, Elman and his foreman “Shorty” arrived with the crew to provide direction and get started with the demo and installation. Throughout the 5 days of the renovation everyone on the Elman’s Contractors crew treated my home as if it was theirs and did an outstanding job. We are so pleased with the outcome. Elman was very responsive to a small issue that needed to be adjusted after the work was complete. Elman and his crews were phenomenal to work with before, during, and after. AHardesty RoofingSam Hardesty met me, at the agreed time, to look at hail damage and forwarded me an estimate in a few days. I had met with two other roofers and was not comfortable with the business agreement required. Sam explained his concept and after I received his estimate was pleased with the contract. Hardesty’s team arrived on time and with weather on the way explained how they were going to only do three parts of the roof that they could complete before the storm. And, we had a storm. There were no issues. Next day the roof was completed and cleaned up like they had never been there. This is a pretty big, 32Sq, steep and high up in the air roof. Gutter work was completed the next week. I received an invoice shortly after the job for the total. They are flexible with payment methods too. Company staff was easy to reach and kept me informed throughout the job.- Ed F.

AEnviroGroup LLCDante and his team walked our entire house, looked at the HVAC, crawl space, attic and inside at registers. He measured moisture, air flow and came up with a game plan to avoid a future HVAC mold issue again before fixing the issue. We only had 1 return per floor for a 4880 square foot house. It was causing moisture build up and the crawl space had damage to the flex duct and effervesce on the walls of the crawl space due to water. He gave recommendations to fix both. Gutters were small 2" hole and require a larger, 3.5 hole with 6" downspout to get the water in and away from our foundation. The crawl space had damage due to critters and he recommended a full encapsulation since we were already replacing the damaged insulation, flex ducts, and the vapor barrier (which was not sealed). He was thoughtful, spent an hour and half with 2 other team members. He was not benefitting from the work, so I trust his recommendations as being solid, based on measurement ,his inspections and experience. He also found a clogged up french drain and crushed pipping to the street.- Melinda d.

AAPI RoofingAPI Roofing and Construction just replaced our roof and I give them the highest recommendation for roof repair and replacement. Several years ago, they replaced a skylight; then they replaced a roof on a family vacation home in Mathews County. Last week, they replaced the roof on our home in Queensmill, and were superb. I live in a 2300 SF one story with a big roof covered with 2 layers of shingles. They were extremely organized in their approach, very careful, neat, highly safety conscious and worked so unbelievably hard. My roof is beautiful and I can't say enough good things about Jason Marsili, the owner, and his crew. They were awesome and the price was competitive. AThe process was made smooth by the folks who stopped by. The estimating associate arrived early, was courteous, and was knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He answered all of my questions with ease. Jake and True arrived approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled window to set up (a major plus for me), had wonderful customer service, and moved swiftly (cleaning up afterward). Gerald was wonderful, explained to me that i needed to clean the outside of my gutters for best performance. He repaired the piece in a few minutes. In the end, he concluded that due to the unique configuration of our roof structure, the Gutter Helmet system could not be used properly for a portion of the project and declined to bid. AMy hat's off to foreman Will Massie of Saunder's and crew who rescued our slate roof from a very botched job. Saunder's was hired to tear off our slate, replace rotten decking, replace our dormer valleys, chimney flashing and dormer window sill aprons with new copper, reseal our gutters with elastomeric and reinstall the slate on our heritage house in the Woodland Heights neighborhood of Richmond. After various and serious issues came to surface from the first crew that was sent to do the job, Saunder's project managers Joe Rogo and Ricky Smith as well as Saunder's owner got involved. A new crew was sent out the following day to make corrections lead by foreman Will Massie. Mr. Massie and his crew came in like the cavalry, tearing off the botched work, making necessary corrections while executing the upmost levels of professionalism. They worked steadily and as expected daily. They were never late coming to the site in the morning or coming back from lunch in the afternoon and they stayed working steadily until the end of the day never leaving early. Will and crew corrected all issues from the former crew, kept the site clean, executed the job Saunder's was contracted to do and addressed all follow up concerns with perfection. I have worked with many roofers in the Richmond area since purchasing a century old home but I have never been more impressed by a roofer and roofing company than I have been with foreman Will Massie and team from Saunder's Roofing. My only regret is not hiring them sooner.
