Mark and his team did a great job! Mark communicated constantly and clearly throughout the job and Mark consulted during the work to make sure things were done as discussed. He followed up after the job was completed to answer any questions and make sure I was satisfied. Hi team was very professional, knowledgable and hard working and left things very neat and clean when done each day. Work was performed in a very timely manner and as promised. Would definitely recommend Kefficient without hesitation.

    Allen Rasnake General Contractor
Damage due to overflowing gutter was extensive. Removal of cedar siding revealed rotting 2x4's, throughout entire wall, plus a small portion of roof, two floor joists, one roof 2x10, and portions of the roof and floor of the Florida room. Allen and his crew of 3 worked M-F of one week and 2.5 days of following week to remove all rotted wood (including drywall) and rebuild the walls, and appropriate parts of floor/ceiling. Crew did a particularly good job of saving/removing two Pella windows that were not damaged and reinstalling them as good as new. Crew was punctual and on the job by 8:30 each morning and working to around 5 pm with about a 50 minute lunch break each day. Quality of the work was excellent. I was pleased enough with the quality and efficiency of their work that I added two smaller jobs I had been wanting to get done under the crawl space of my house that they were able to do one day when it rained. (replacing some concrete block and adding some support beams) I also had them install two new doors due to some rotting wood on the door jambs. Quality and Efficiency of these add on jobs was also excellent. I would definitely use Allen and his crew again

    EnviroGroup LLC
Believe the reviews, Dante and his team are topnotch. The insurance paid for a national service to come in, they were ok, but I hired EnviroGroup because of the confidence he inspired. Dante knows his stuff. Believe him! He gives his considered opinion (take it), does the work carefully and thoroughly, and is no-nonsense. His team, too, is reliable, timely, and serious young men. I enjoyed working with both Tyrell and Patrick. He treats them respectfully and values them, so it shows. So, OK, if you haven't figured it out by this time, hire EnviroGroup if you want your work done well. P.S. I hired him to do additional work beyond the insurance work. He has taken care of the mildew and wetness in my basement area. Finally!!! I will be asking him to come back soon to do more.

    EnviroGroup LLC
Dante and two of his apprentences came out and inspected my property. The things I was concerned about turned out to not be issues and he recommended against taking (paying for) any action at that time. If I need a service they provide in the future Envirogroup will be at the top of my list.

    A-1 Concrete Leveling Inc
These guys were absolutely terrific. I cannot recommend them more highly. First, I have a very large driveway and I had a small area of the driveway that was no longer level, but Stafford felt it wasn't bad enough to warrant leveling. He said that just filling the crack that has developed will make it so that it does not get any worse. I have a lot of respect for him in this regard as he could've told me the exact opposite and I would've paid to have it leveled. I also needed to have the driveway pressure washed and resealed. Plus I had some spots that had become bare due to the past owners negligence. Stafford and his very professional and courteous team did an excellent job in this regard. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy and I can absolutely tell that they were making every effort to exceed the standards of the industry. One example would be that they used a hot water pressure washing system with a lower psi to make sure that we didn't lose any rocks from the pressure washing. The second example would be that they put on two coats of acrylic. Now maybe thats the industry standard but I sure wouldn't have known. Again, you can tell that he wanted to exceed expectations. Best of all the price was the best I had found. All of this being said, I would easily recommend them to anyone. They get an A in my book on every level. They are excellent!

    Quinns Quality Home Improvements LLC
What I appreciate most about Quinns Quality Home Improvement is their honesty and professionalism. The quotes are detailed to show exact cost of the work and pictures always accompany his invoices to show the work has been done. I would recommend Quinn to anyone in need of a professional carpenter.

    Bedrock Foundation Systems Inc

I was very surprised to see a review of this contractor with work dated November 2015 & September 2015 because this contractor told us in May, the IRS had contacted him, and he was forced to suspend operations, therefore, he would be unable to finish our job.

This job was plagued with problems from the beginning.  Due to the on set of winter and weather delays, we agreed to begin in April 2014.  Jim Burns kept delaying from April to June of 2014 due to rain and "wanting the right crew".  They started the work in June 2014.  His  HVAC man came to move the air conditioner condenser units away from the house.  He did a terrible job.  He did not move them far enough from the house, and there was also an issue where he used the wrong size connection and wrong solder.  Two days later, due to not connecting correctly, when a worker bumped it with dirt, the solder joint cracked and Freon leaked out so in the heat of the summer, we had no air conditioning until he could come back and fix it.

They removed dirt around the foundation to access the footings and in the process broke our sewer line and did not tell us.  I noticed it after they left that day.  We found pieces of it in the yard.  They came back and fixed it.  After they dug all around the foundation and put the house on temporary supports, we were told they could not continue due to a delay in receiving major components of the job.  This delay turned out to be over a month.  There were several delays due to his inability to get equipment.  Our house sat on temporary supports for approximately 3 months due to these delays.  When new inside wall cracks appeared in every room in the house, he promised to have his dry wall person fix the inside.  Door frames also shifted.  Areas of our house that we had never had problems with, now have cracks.

I have terrible allergies to mold.  With the house sitting with the dirt dug up under the house and rain, I was so sick with allergies I had to stay in a hotel one night.  The next day, Jim had his HVAC person come and install a crawl space ventilation fan.  This helped my allergies, although he did a terrible job.  In the process, he knocked down an air conditioning duct and never bothered to fix it.  He did not tell anyone and left.  My husband saw it, so one of the other workers fixed it.

The work continued very slowly.  During the installation of the helical piers our water line was cut several times.  They also broke off an outside faucet and never fixed it.  We continued to have serious concerns as more cracks appeared and existing cracks worsened.  His engineer would occasionally come up and give us excuses and say "Jim is going to fix this".

Finally when they said the job under the house was complete 6 months after they started, we wanted to know how they would ensure the foundation was fixed.  Jim said his engineer would come up and measure once a month. The engineer was supposed to measured on an early trip in January, but we later found out he didn't, do the measurement.  He measured January 29th, March 4th and April 8th. There was movement between the January and March measurements, but he stated there was no movement on the April 8th measurement and said the foundation was fixed.

To complete the contract, Bedrock still needed to repair the front porch brick, re-install hand railings, finish the French drain (we are sorry they ever started the French drain as it was done incorrectly, and we had to have someone else finish), re-install white lattice underneath the deck, repair outside faucet, repair interior damage and repair damaged Masonite siding.   The work was schedule to be completed in May 2015.  On the day they were to arrive, Jim Burns called to tell us they wouldn't be coming because the IRS had contacted him and he was forced to suspend his operations.  You can see why we were shocked when we saw reviews of jobs performed in September and November 2015.

Only time will tell if he really fixed our house.

    Virginia Basement
I can't speak to the quality of work performed by Virginia Basement because I am still in the process of diagnosing and shopping for contractors but I was impressed with Robb from Virginia Basement. He arrived on time and really took his time to familiarize himself with my particular issues and walked me through the solution he believed would fix it. I most appreciated the down to earth approach he took to explain things to the layman and did not get any "salesman-y" pressure tactics. The guy's high ratings should speak for themselves...

    JES Foundation Repair
Workers called before arriving to our house. They arrived on time and immediately went to work. They explained the entire process to make sure we were on the same page. They entered the tight crawl space to do the work. They had to dig three holes, load them with stone and cement, and install the jacks and beam. The work was scheduled for two days, but they finished in one. They were very clean and respectful of our home and property.

Cavie Thrift showed up at the appointed time and looked at our problem. He said that what was occurring was a natural condition due to how the posts supporting the center beam of the house moves slightly with the seasons. He indicated that he could have his company install two or three additional posts in the crawl space deeper in the soil, but he thought that such was not needed because the movement was so slight. Mr. Thrift concluded that nothing should be done at the present time, but if there was a noticeable increase in the separation of the countertop and backsplash, to call him. I found out later from a tile installer that grout cracks between granite and marble was to be expected because two separate materials respond different to atmospheric conditions in the house.
We were most appreciative of Mr. Thrift's honest appraisal because he could have told us that an expensive repair was needed. I would not hesitate to contact his company in the future if the problem worsens.
