They built us a beautiful deck which far exceeded our expectations. We found a few small problems after the work was complete. They came out immediately and corrected them to our satisfaction. AJP Companies IncExcellent company to work with. JP Companies removed and installed a new concrete porch and carport pad. The crew arrived on time, complete the work quickly and left the job site clean. We had a few challenges due to an adjacent cement pad and a awkward front entrance. Paulo made some recommendations with confidence only experience can bring to resolve/minimize the issues. Can’t ask for more. ASteadfast Construction IncFantastic! Scheduling was a little bit back and forth, but the Lumber shortages in the USA. explained by Miguel my point of contact, were the real reason behind this. I have been involved in 5 different decks over my lifetime from a gargantuan on in Vienna to a small little replacement in Florida. I was unsure what to expect at first as my Spanish was rusty but Franklin the my builder from Steadfast, was able to easily explain to me what they were doing whenever I asked. The demo'd my deck on day 1, reinforced and sister-ed joists and dropped my new interior 8 X 12 beam and dug footings, day 2 and wrapped up steps and cleaning on day 3. They router-ed joints that I could touch, and set the floor decking down so that as it dries it will have even openings over time. The lumber was of superior quality (#1) pressure treated all around.from what I could see. I consulted with the deck requirements on the Fairfax County websites and they followed them exactly, as best I could tell. Franklin and his guys were very polite, thoughtful and explained things in a way my engineering brain could understand. If I had another job I would seek them out again in a heartbeat. I would recommend them to anyone that asked and wish them every success in the future.- Eric H.

AScott is a reliable and a very knowledgeable contractor. Only with looking at a simple picture, he knew what kind of repair was needed for the leaks on my walls coming from the deck. Scott's team came to my house and fixed the deck leaks in a matter of hours. The professional and very detailed quality work, was accomplished with honesty and timelines. FEverything went according to plan until we got to the showers and bathtubs. There were leaks in both bathtubs, the shower and the sink. We also installed floor heating which no longer works because the bathtub leaked under the floor. The shower tiles are all cracking since they were not properly spaced and the shower floor is uneven and puddling. We still have leaks in 2 sinks and the bathtub. After a couple initial efforts to remediate HCC completely ceased responding. We are now stuck hiring another contractor to fix all the mistakes which is costing us about 50% of the original project total. Complete disaster, do not recommend

AWe asked Jeff to re-trench and rebuild weight bearing retaining walls that were 20+ years old and had tumbled. We had other vendors that we contacted that were interested in re-landscaping our entire yard, which was not really necessary for this project. Jeff came out and evaluated the situation, making recommendations from an engineering perspective on what we needed to do to rebuild the walls with better structural integrity, which would prevent them from tumbling again. We agreed that in a mature garden with transplanting requirements, this was a great winter project. His crew arrived on time, completed the job in an efficient and expedient manner, and the quality of the work was outstanding. They were respectful of the property, and cleaned up each day. They tore down and rebuilt the walls (using the same stone which saved us on the materials) to be much sturdier. They trenched with gravel and added heavy capstone to the top of the wall, to ensure the structural integrity. They completed the job in 2.5 days. The quality of the work was excellent, as was the price. I would recommend Classic Stonescaping for any outdoor projects.
