    Seneca Hill Animal Hospital
Nightmare experience at Seneca Hill. Boarded my 4 month old, perfectly healthy puppy at Seneca Hill and got a call from Dr. Katherine Pepelko 2 days into my vacation that my dog had been bit on her ear by another dog (turned out to be the least of the problems!) and that when the staff walked my dog, that my dog's foot got stuck in an UNCOVERED DRAIN (while being walked on leash by kennel staff in a normal area that they walk dogs!). Seneca Hill waited 2 DAYS after my dog was injured before having one of their veterinarians examine my dog, even though my dog was limping immediately after getting her foot stuck in the drain. Dr. Pepelko said she thought my dog's foot was just sprained and she would be fine. Every time I called to check on my dog that week Dr. Pepelko and the staff at Seneca Hill told me that her foot would be fine and that it was just sprained. Then the day before I came back to town, the manager, Heather Gonzalez, called me and said that my dog's leg had not improved and now they thought she had a torn ACL and I needed to immediately take her to an emergency veterinary hospital when I picked her up. Heather Gonzalez (manager of Seneca Hill) told me that Seneca Hill was very sorry for my dog's injuries and that Seneca Hill would pay for my dog's medical treatment. THEY LIED! When I took my dog immediately to the surgeon that Seneca Hill sent me to, the surgeon told me within 5 minutes that he suspected my dog actually had a BROKEN LEG! He immediately took an x-ray that confirmed that my dog's leg had actually been broken when it got stuck in Seneca Hill's uncovered drain. No veterinarian at Seneca Hill ever took an x-ray the whole week my dog was there showing no signs of improvement - they have an x-ray machine on-site and never took an x-ray when my dog limped the whole week! The surgeon said my dog already had a lot of scar tissue from living with a broken leg for one week. The nightmare has continued after my dog's emergency surgery. My dog has permanent, life-long damage from her injuries. She yelps and cries out in pain and we cannot let her run off-leash in our backyard because she will cry out and hold up injured leg. Seneca Hill told both myself and the surgeon that Seneca Hill would pay for my dog's surgery. THEY DID NOT PAY THE MEDICAL BILLS FOR MY DOG'S BROKEN LEG. After Seneca Hill refused to pay the hospital bill that they had promised to pay, the hospital sent me the $3,500 bill! Seneca Hill had an uncovered drain and walked my dog in the area with the uncovered drain, Seneca Hill misdiagnosed my dog's broken leg, Seneca Hill took 2 days to have one of their vets examine my dog after she was injured, Seneca Hill never took an x-ray of her damaged leg, Seneca Hill told me which surgeon they wanted me to go to, Seneca Hill booked the appointment with the surgeon, Seneca Hill promised to pay for the medical costs. Seneca Hill has NOT PAID a dime for all of the damage to my dog that occurred at their kennel. Seneca Hill EVEN CHARGED ME $480 for this kennel visit in which my dog got bit and Seneca Hill broke my dog's leg! I called the owner of Seneca Hill, Dr. Janice Homan multiple times and wrote her a letter. Never once has Dr. Janice Homan responded to my phone messages and letter. My experiences with Seneca Hill are beyond a nightmare, just beyond.

They just, they're really, really good with the dogs. You know, there's never a question that he doesn't want to go or that he's nervous. Everybody there just seems really comfortable with dogs, and they're really good with him. Well, I do grooming there, too, and there groomers have been really good.

    Mclean Animal Hospital
McLean has caused our family so much heartache, so many tears. We received the $473 bill for the euthanasia and memorial cremation of our golden retriever. I was shocked over the cost to have the ashes returned- $266 of the $473 total. There is NO WAY I would have asked for the ashes had I known the cost, but I was not told the cost. Apparently, I was not mentally present enough during the dog's last moments to request a pricing write up of our options for her remains. Dr. Sexton insists that my asking, "I dunno. Is that expensive?" rather than, "I dunno. How much does it cost?" does not amount as a request for a price estimate. Therefore, we are liable for the extra $266, which is a very expensive cost for asking the wrong question in my dog's final moments. We've been going to that vet for 28 years, all the way back to when I asked the doctor to take me on a facility tour, since I wanted to be a vet when I grew up. Despite explaining all of this to Dr. Sexton (practice owner), via Susan Claflin (practice manager), he would not budge. No benefit of the doubt. No kindness to a grieving customer of 28 years. Just a pinch of the penny. Forget the thousands we've given them during the lives of seven pets. Poor Susan was put in an awful position as Dr. Sexton wouldn't even call me himself. We'll pay our $473 bill. But it is our last bill there. *also, after boarding in 2016, my dog was returned to me with her leg covered in feces. The bath was comped, thanks to Susan.

    The Muddy Mutt
The groomer (named Andrew) was AWESOME !!!  Never got anxious during the whole escapade.  I tipped him, well, because of it.  He had to wait 10 minutes for the flea and tick shampoo to set (was only getting a flea and tick bath as a precaution because the puppy had  been at the dog park for most of the day and had gone to day care earlier in the week).
This is the second time I had used their services.  The other guy was equally as good but I do not recall his name.
The other beauty is that it is located next to the Shirlingon Dog Park so you can enter The Muddy Mutt's entry off the Shirlington Dog Park's gate (outside the "big dog's side").  You can also give your own dog a bath for under $20.00.   What a DEAL !!!

They are really good and do a tremendous job. My dog is very shy but does really well with them. They are very prompt with getting us in for an appointment. I travel 30 minutes to visit them because of the great job they do.

    Mclean Animal Hospital
We found them on Angie's List. Their services were excellent. What stood out was the fact that when I called their office, they took the time to talk to me. I explained the situation as to why I needed to come in to see a vet, and they were able to give me an appointment time that was convenient for myself and my husband, so that he could help me bring our animal in. They are very helpful. When we made the appointment, and went in, their front desk staff was very pleasant, and took all our information, and copied our history. The doctor came out to get us from the waiting room, and chatted with us a little before he went back to the exam room, and I have never had that. He was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, and just like a normal human being. The cost wasn't cheap, but it was comparable for any good vet. We always look for something that is recommended by friends or is close to somewhere we live. They didn't hit me with a new patient, client fee. They didn't make me do everything again, she was able to make an assessment with our old records which were just 3 months old.

I attribute his spirits to 2 things; the fact that the holding cages face the groomers (he likes to be able to see what's going on) and the gentle hands of the groomers there. Pricey but worth it. Oh, and they don't accept credit cards, cash or check only.||One word of warning. They are tightly scheduled, especially around holidays, so plan ahead, drop your doggie off on time, and make sure they tell you when you're doggie will be ready. It's not always a foregone conclusion...

    Great Dogs of Great Falls
They dog sit there and we also get our dogs groomed. They are excellent. They are wonderful because of their customer service and the groomers are terrific and it's a warm loving environment. They know all of the neighbors and they know all of the dogs, they treat them very very well and they have really great products. As soon as you walk in and you say your dog's experiencing stomach problems or whatever they direct you to the place to some of their products and they have tried them all with their own dogs. So they have been great. We are testing some new Doxins so my husband went in that dogs stopped eating, didn't seem to be interested in what we were using so they recommended smaller sampler bags of food and stuff that has worked out really well. I think their price is very reasonable. I am buying all of my food their. I think they are really good.

    Canine Carousel
I have used Canine Carousel in Herndon for several years now and they have always done a very good job with my dogs and provided excellent service. I have a Bergamasco and a Springer Spaniel. Neither likes grooming still, but they do not fight about going in when we first arrive the way they did initially. The first time we went to Canine Carousel I had to suggest my dogs be muzzled, but now they generally tolerate grooming much better and I'm sure it's because of their treatment. A few times when I have brought them in, my dogs were total messes - mats and all. The folks at Canine Carousel made them look amazing! While $240 (not including tip!) is a lot of $$, you get a lot of quality service for that. I dropped my dogs off at about 8:00 that morning and they gave me a call at about 3:00 that my dogs were ready. Their nails were trimmed, they were bathed and had hair cuts, their anal glands had been squeezed -- the works. Everyone is friendly whenever I call or come by. I'm going to continue bringing my dogs there even though they are much farther to get to than many other closer groomers.

    Classy Canine Daycare
Scott is the most professional service provider for grooming, daycare, and boarding in Dallas.  He cares about what he does and is always on the premises.  I never even met the owners of the other businesses I tried.  A tour showed the play rooms to be clean with a soft surface gym floor instead of the usual concrete. I also noticed there was fresh water all the time.  He also mentioned that the air is recirculated every few minutes with a bacteria killing system built in.  I guess that is why it does not smell like other daycare centers.  If you need a reliable caring facility for your dog you cannot go wrong with Classy Canine Daycare
