  He is primary a pediatric dermatology. I don't have to wait long. He a kind of a one man show and I see the same person and he knows. When I go in I make appointments for the next time because its hard to get an appointment. But it's not his fault.

  the Doctor has a great bedside manner and is fine with kids.  However, instead of freezing off the warts she decided to cut them out.  That ended up scarring my sons hand and most of them grew back within a few months.  Additionally the cutting vs. freezing cost a lot more so a routine office visit cost nearly $1,000.  I was not advised of this cost differential.

  Dr. Rivera found a number of scaly accumulation on my skin, to which she applied liquid nitrogen. I have found her to be extremely accurate in her evaluations and quick to spot any problems. She lamented the fact that too many of her patients skip appointments and only show up after something has progressed to become serious. Most skin problems can be corrected easily if caught early on.

  Horrendous service. I went today for an 11:00 appointment. At 12:00 I was still waiting. Nobody said anything to me. Nobody apologized for the lateness. Nothing. I left and did not get the checkup. I will look for someone else. If you use this dermatologist, be sure to bring a good book with you, because you WILL wait.

  Walia, Dr. Sunila

  I went to see Dr. Walia for poison ivy. While there she examined me all over for any signs of melanoma. Her office followed up to schedule an annual exam. Dr. Walia is extremely friendly and thorough. She is a good listener and I had good rapport with her.

  The office was very nice as was the office staff.  The wait was minimal.  Getting in to see her was very quick as well.  I made another appt. for my son who has severe acne.  I would definitely recommend her to my friends..

  Dr. Walia has a great personality and a wonderful bedside manner. She has speciality training in dermatologic laser surgery and cosmetic procedures. After receiving treatment for warts in the regular dermatology area at GW, I was referred to Dr. Walia in laser dermatology. She and her technician treated my warts over several months with a laser treatment. The warts would start to go away, but would then come back. The treatment never entirely worked, and just before she left for a private practice in McLean, VA, she referred me to a podiatrist at GW. The podiatrist told me that for a bad case like the one I had, she could recommend an off-label use for over-the-counter Tagamet, the ant-ancid. Yes, Tagamet! Within a few weeks, my wart were gone. Although I think highly of Dr. Walia, it was the Tagamet that actually helped.

  Kim, Dr. Ho Jin

  He effectively and efficiently diagnosed my daughter's rashes, which turned out to be just eczema (originally, our pediatrician thought it was something more serious). He prescribed some ointment and a mild oral steroid and my daughter recovered in a few weeks. I was pretty pleased with this doctor - my only issue is he didn't accpet our insurance (BCBS) so we had to pay out of pocket, which was pretty expenseive.

  Kim, Dr. Ho Jin

  Dr. Kim is efficient, friendly, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable. His entire office is very cogniscent of appointment times, and they have very early morning hours to allow for a visit before work.
