    The initial appointment to try on bridal gowns was ok.  Marquita was the sales girl that was showing me dresses and helping me try them on.  She was enthusiastic about the dresses.  However, the troubles started when I picked out a veil.  She told me that they didn't have any of those veils in stock and that I could just buy the one in the store that everyone had tried on.  She told me that the veil was discontinued and wouldn't be made again.  I pointed out the numerous holes and rips in that display veil and the many missing and ripped beadwork along the trim.  Not sure why she would think anyone would be happy buying a veil that looked like it had been through the trash wringer.  Then she refused to give a good discount on the veil since it was seriously damaged.  She promised me that she could order another veil from another store, and that she would call me as soon as it was located.  In order to do this, I had to pre-pay for the veil.  2 weeks went by and I never heard a word from Marquita.  I called the store to find out what happened to my veil being shipped from another store (which she originally told me would only take a week).  Marquita told me that she would call the store to find the veil, since she never called in the first place, even after I had already paid for the veil!  She told me she would call me back.  She, once again, never called me back.  I called to find out why I never got the courtesy of a phone call, and she told me that she would (once again) call the other store to order it.  Within an hour she called me back telling me that the store that originally had the veil was now sold out - since it had been close to 3 weeks since she had checked inventory.  This was some of the most ignorant and disrespectful service I have ever received.  By some miracle she was finally able to locate the veil and it was shipped shortly after. 
    As for the wedding dress, that was ordered and supposedly made for me from scratch.  When I came in for my first dress fitting, the beading along the bodice was ripped and coming off.  That had to be repaired in alterations.  The day before I was supposed to come in for my final dress fitting to pick up the dress, I called the store to confirm they would still be open the next day as Hurricane Sandy was expected to come through the next evening.  The manager picked up the phone and wanted to know why I would even ask if the store would be open.  I told her that the hurricane was supposed to make landfall the next day and I wondered why she would play dumb about that, especially with her being a manager.  I would have expected some courteous customer service from a manager, however, this was sadly lacking in this woman.  She told me that if the store still had power they would still be open and seeing appointments.  She (the manager) also promised me that if the store was closing that she would definitely call me to tell me the appointment was cancelled, and she told me to call ahead of the appointment to make sure.  The next day came and I tried calling the store to confirm they were open.  I got the usual normal recording about them being with another client and they would get back to me as soon as possible.  I drove to the store only to find them closed down.  I am appalled at the customer service of this bridal store.  They didn't even have the courtesy or the respect to call me to tell me the store was closed and the appointment was cancelled, even after the manager vehemently promised me she would. 
    Apparently both the manager and the sales ladies are lacking in both competency and intelligence.  The customer service of everyone at this store is non-existent.  This included the alterations lady.   After I was finally able to re-schedule my final fitting, I tried on the dress to discover that she had cut the bottom of the dress wrong.  It was clearly lopsided and uneven.  The alterations lady's only response was to say "Well I cut it straight across", when she clearly did not.  She promised me it would be fixed and that I was to come in exactly a week from that date.  I came in the following week and she put me in a dressing room with the dress and told me to get ready and then she left.  I stood there in the room waiting 15 minutes, before she finally walked in and then she complained that I did not put the dress on myself.  In all the other past appointments I had been helped into the bustier (bra) which I need help getting in to since it has 20 hook and eye closures along the back.  In all the other past appointments I have also been helped into the dress which is heavy and has a corset back, which I also can not do myself.  The alterations lady was not punctual and was rude and disrespectful.  She walked into the room and got an attitude with me since I did not put myself in to the bustier and lace up the dress myself.  She was curt and extremely rude and disrespectful.
    I will *never* again go to this store and I highly warn anyone else that is interested in this store to stay away.  It was absolutely horrendous customer service and they don't seem to care one bit about how their customers are treated.  I am disgusted by the entire experience at Alfred Angelo, and not once did they try to make reparations for all of the horrendous experiences that I went through.  I find it hard to believe that the Alfred Angelo company would allow this kind of behavior and service to be associated with their store.  STAY AWAY!!

    After trying on several wedding gowns at Hannalore's and Pricilla's, and recognizing that these designer dresses cost between $3,000 to $5,000, I found Ramya and showed her the style dress I wanted.  Ramya's eye for detail and conections in New York with the finist fabrics and chantilly lace, desinged my dream gown and added just the right finishes and details to make my gown a one of a kind gorgeaous gown.  She also designed and created bridesmaid's gowns and matching ties for the Groom and Groomsmen.  After several fittings and adjustments, my gown, my viel, and the bridesmaid and grooms ties where professionally packaged and ready for pick up a week before our wedding.  Everything was PERFECT!
