    Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Center
I love this practice because of Dr. Cuttica and his staff.   They take their work, seriously, but are personable at the same time.  Be prepared to spend an hour or so on your first appointment because he needs time to review your completed forms and x-rays.   Subsequent visits are within 10-15 minutes wait time but you never know how busy they get due to multiple unexpected ankle issues (think the day after soccer games or rowdy concerts).   Otherwise, expect nothing but sound, knowledgeable, and skillful treatment.
Some good phone numbers to keep available are as follows:
Orthopedic Sport (to rent a scooter for approximately $40.00 per week and they deliver for $25.00) - much easier to use than crutches:    703/ 263-1325
Request the completed form for a Handicap Tag (for Handicap Parking) from the Orthopedics and get the tag from DMV asap.
If any hardware is used (i.e., screws, plates, etc.) ask for the card (at the front desk) that validates you will set-off metal detectors.  It helps to present it when going through Security check-points (e.g., airports).
Phone Number to purchase an Aircast ice machine (get the motorized one and make sure you have adequate ice):    703/ 584-2040
Family Pharmacy located in McLean, VA off Chain Bridge Road - offers free delivery:  703/ 854-1992
Ensure that you have plenty of pillows and a comforter so you can elevate your leg, foot, and ankle.
Input pertinent phone numbers into your cell phone ahead of time because getting around and carrying papers can be challenging.
A clear oversized baggie is good, also, for papers, pens, and safety pins (just in case).
The current contact information on this practice's website is for a store located in New England instead of the small store located inside the practice.  You can get the local store's phone number by asking the person behind the counter for i I recommend getting the plastic bag for your foot, ankle, leg for the shower and possibly one of the socks.  The sock is useful because I believe it is large enough to cover a cast and looks better with the boot.  I did not buy one and regretted it because I wanted to cover my toes and a regular-sized sock was tight against the skin and incision and I ended-up losing the other one (of the pair).

This practice's phone number (703/ 769-8420) has an option to leave a message for a Nurse.  I have contacted them two or three times and have received generic responses from the nurses.  If you have any discomfort (e.g., your foot and ankle swelling and rubs against your cast), do not hesitate to be persistent in getting assistance.  I believe this service acts as a first-line, common problems service not intended for more severe ones so make sure you get what you need because the practice opens around 9AM, takes an hour lunch, and then does not guarantee a response for any messages left after 3PM.   I believe this is to keep the overhead down.
I have approximately another month of treatment (one for x-rays to confirm that healing has occurred so I can resume walking on it and then a few weeks of physical therapy twice a week).  I also love the fact that the practice does not pressure or try to sell you on their physical therapy practice though I did go through theirs for mine.

I had a plantar wart for the past 3 years that I couldn't get rid of. I tried every over-the-counter medicine you could think of before I gave up. Dr. Idiculla explained several treatment options before allowing me to decide on which one to pursue. He used a liquid topical treatment and gave me something else to take home. I should have applied it daily before my next check up, but I honestly didn't. I never went back for a follow up because whatever the Dr. did worked; my plantar ward is now gone and has been gone for a few months now.

The overall experience was great. Getting an appt was easy. I did not have to wait long in the office and the actual visit (both times) was productive and professional
