    Nova Mobile Vet
I truly regret using this vet. I was persuaded by Yelp reviews and my own desire to reduce my cat's stress. 1. It took 2 weeks to get them to come X-ray my cat who had been limping. I was terrified that transport had caused her limp and wanted to get her X-rayed by a mobile vet. They always offered an "availability" 7 days from whatever day I called, even after being told that the next week was open. If that's protocol, they should be upfront. But I forced myself to wait, and 2. after meeting Bonnie and Dr. Cryan, I was not reassured. His evaluation of the X-rays left me more confused and unclear. I'm not even sure he confirmed whether the bump on her leg was a tumor or swelling. I asked Bonnie when she was charging me (+$200 for a radiology consult that she said would take 2-5 days), and she said, no he didn't find tumors. 3. After the appointment, I called a local clinic to bring her in and take a 2nd look (that's how confused and uneasy I felt). They confirmed the bump was a tumor and found another tumor on the X-ray as well. They did a courtesy ultrasound on her tumors and discovered what looked like an extremely aggressive cancer. She passed away from a biopsy 4 days later. 4. I understand why Dr. Cryan sent in for a radiology report if he can't read X-rays, but I didn't see the report for 10 days. I discovered radiologists get back in 1-2 days, and this one came back in 2 days, but they didn't send it to me until a WEEK later. She passed away by then without the help of consult specifics. I will never use this vet again and truly caution others. For euthanasia or routines, it seems adequate. Otherwise, look elsewhere or find a second opinion. They are non-communicative (no response to email) and don't seem very honest (e.g. when I asked what he noticed before vs. after the radiologist consult). NOTE of warning: Dr. Cryan's response to my Yelp review is up, and is shockingly dishonest, or at best inaccurate, and has convinced me that it is not simple incompetence but practically negligence. His response was not only cruel in its untruths but in how easily verifiable the truth actually was. He makes contentions that he recommended X-rays to me after telling me my cat had metastacized cancer and that he recommended palliative care, which is so patently false, I hardly know where to start. Who forgets being told something like that? He claims I ignored his recommendation and ran off to find a vet who would do a biopsy for me. First, I specifically made the apptmt to get X-rays done, to confirm whether or not a swelling/growth on my cat's leg was a tumor. He suggested steroid and antibiotic injections because he thought it could be an infection (or bone cancer due to her bone "looking fuzzy" on the X-ray. It was neither). I refused the injections and got pills to avoid giving her antibiotics. I literally have his prescriptions on me. I also have a history with vets of disliking surgical procedures, and his claim that all I wanted was to find a vet to do a biopsy is beyond hurtful and tells me more about him than even I realized. Please message me for anymore details. His response has shocked not only me but people around me who were involved in the process with me. It's one thing to be incompetent; it's another to be a liar. I can't decide which it is.

    Seneca Hill Animal Hospital
Nightmare experience at Seneca Hill. Boarded my 4 month old, perfectly healthy puppy at Seneca Hill and got a call from Dr. Katherine Pepelko 2 days into my vacation that my dog had been bit on her ear by another dog (turned out to be the least of the problems!) and that when the staff walked my dog, that my dog's foot got stuck in an UNCOVERED DRAIN (while being walked on leash by kennel staff in a normal area that they walk dogs!). Seneca Hill waited 2 DAYS after my dog was injured before having one of their veterinarians examine my dog, even though my dog was limping immediately after getting her foot stuck in the drain. Dr. Pepelko said she thought my dog's foot was just sprained and she would be fine. Every time I called to check on my dog that week Dr. Pepelko and the staff at Seneca Hill told me that her foot would be fine and that it was just sprained. Then the day before I came back to town, the manager, Heather Gonzalez, called me and said that my dog's leg had not improved and now they thought she had a torn ACL and I needed to immediately take her to an emergency veterinary hospital when I picked her up. Heather Gonzalez (manager of Seneca Hill) told me that Seneca Hill was very sorry for my dog's injuries and that Seneca Hill would pay for my dog's medical treatment. THEY LIED! When I took my dog immediately to the surgeon that Seneca Hill sent me to, the surgeon told me within 5 minutes that he suspected my dog actually had a BROKEN LEG! He immediately took an x-ray that confirmed that my dog's leg had actually been broken when it got stuck in Seneca Hill's uncovered drain. No veterinarian at Seneca Hill ever took an x-ray the whole week my dog was there showing no signs of improvement - they have an x-ray machine on-site and never took an x-ray when my dog limped the whole week! The surgeon said my dog already had a lot of scar tissue from living with a broken leg for one week. The nightmare has continued after my dog's emergency surgery. My dog has permanent, life-long damage from her injuries. She yelps and cries out in pain and we cannot let her run off-leash in our backyard because she will cry out and hold up injured leg. Seneca Hill told both myself and the surgeon that Seneca Hill would pay for my dog's surgery. THEY DID NOT PAY THE MEDICAL BILLS FOR MY DOG'S BROKEN LEG. After Seneca Hill refused to pay the hospital bill that they had promised to pay, the hospital sent me the $3,500 bill! Seneca Hill had an uncovered drain and walked my dog in the area with the uncovered drain, Seneca Hill misdiagnosed my dog's broken leg, Seneca Hill took 2 days to have one of their vets examine my dog after she was injured, Seneca Hill never took an x-ray of her damaged leg, Seneca Hill told me which surgeon they wanted me to go to, Seneca Hill booked the appointment with the surgeon, Seneca Hill promised to pay for the medical costs. Seneca Hill has NOT PAID a dime for all of the damage to my dog that occurred at their kennel. Seneca Hill EVEN CHARGED ME $480 for this kennel visit in which my dog got bit and Seneca Hill broke my dog's leg! I called the owner of Seneca Hill, Dr. Janice Homan multiple times and wrote her a letter. Never once has Dr. Janice Homan responded to my phone messages and letter. My experiences with Seneca Hill are beyond a nightmare, just beyond.

    RUDY'S FRIENDS DOG TRAINING INC
It went great! Im very happy to have the tools to manage my wonderful dogs behavior, particularly when we are taking walks. My dog was barking and lunging and pulling the leash when other dogs would come near. On leash behavior was the main reason we called Anne since I was afraid my dog would pull me off my feet. This morning we met three unfamiliar dogs walking together and my dog stayed attentive to me and sat obediently while the other dogs walked by. My dog was calm and not nervous. What a change. Anne had brought another dog so that my dog could practice in a controlled situation. We are still working on some of the behaviors using a combination of praise and food rewards in order to teach our dog, for example, to not bark at passers by when she is not on leash but is in the house or on the deck. Im convinced we have the tools and its just a matter of our following through. Im so glad I found Rudys Friends and had this training.

    Camp Charlie
Charlie has watched our two dogs two times in the past several months. I have full confidence in him and have asked him to watch our dogs for a third time. I appreciate that I not only get daily photos, but also videos of our dogs. Charlie was also very quick to alert me when one of my dogs, who is a finicky eater, was not eating and worked with me to find ways to get him to eat. He went out of his way to understand my dogs quirks and adjust to them. I sincerely appreciated his honesty in telling me there was a problem and his flexibility in adjusting to my dogs habits. Charlie also has been extremely flexible in my drop off time and pick up times, which I also greatly appreciate. I know I will continue using Charlie for our pets.

    Mclean Animal Hospital
They are very responsive, They've been my vet since 1977. Her checkup is due every March. Of course I have had several dogs during this past 40 years. I would absolutely use them again. They also board there occasionally. Their boarding is wonderful. Its' a very well organized well run office. They are always attentive. If people medicine was as well organized as this, We'd all be better off. The dogs like going there, they never like to leave me but they are ok. I haven't boarded them recently, but i have used it.

    Dogtopia of Tysons Corner
They just, they're really, really good with the dogs. You know, there's never a question that he doesn't want to go or that he's nervous. Everybody there just seems really comfortable with dogs, and they're really good with him. Well, I do grooming there, too, and there groomers have been really good.

    Camp Charlie
Our dogs absolutely love Charlie! Every time I drop them off they are just as excited to see him as they are when they see me. Charlie takes them on great walks in the woods and gives them plenty of attention at home. He is always very responsive and flexible (has accepted a number of last minute bookings for me) and keeps me up to date on what's going on. I used to feel terrible leaving our pups with a sitter when we went out of town, but now I am completely at ease because I feel like they're getting a vacation too. I highly recommend Camp Charlie!

    Pet Care At Home
Amy is terrific! She responded promptly to my initial email inquiry and we set up a time for her to stop by so we could meet and she could meet my cat. While I was away she sent me update texts every time she stopped by my house. So great to know my cat was being well cared for while I was away. I will certainly hire her again.

    Mclean Animal Hospital
McLean has caused our family so much heartache, so many tears. We received the $473 bill for the euthanasia and memorial cremation of our golden retriever. I was shocked over the cost to have the ashes returned- $266 of the $473 total. There is NO WAY I would have asked for the ashes had I known the cost, but I was not told the cost. Apparently, I was not mentally present enough during the dog's last moments to request a pricing write up of our options for her remains. Dr. Sexton insists that my asking, "I dunno. Is that expensive?" rather than, "I dunno. How much does it cost?" does not amount as a request for a price estimate. Therefore, we are liable for the extra $266, which is a very expensive cost for asking the wrong question in my dog's final moments. We've been going to that vet for 28 years, all the way back to when I asked the doctor to take me on a facility tour, since I wanted to be a vet when I grew up. Despite explaining all of this to Dr. Sexton (practice owner), via Susan Claflin (practice manager), he would not budge. No benefit of the doubt. No kindness to a grieving customer of 28 years. Just a pinch of the penny. Forget the thousands we've given them during the lives of seven pets. Poor Susan was put in an awful position as Dr. Sexton wouldn't even call me himself. We'll pay our $473 bill. But it is our last bill there. *also, after boarding in 2016, my dog was returned to me with her leg covered in feces. The bath was comped, thanks to Susan.
