    Crossbuild, LLC
Atis Lemis and Crossbuild are quite literally a criminal enterprise who will destroy your home and extort you for money and bring in other convicted felons to help him. They were and are still a nightmare. Legal action will now be necessary to try to recover enough money to complete my project. Mr. Lemis has stated to me in writing that any law suit will put him out of business so if you are doing business with him you should stop now. Nothing could possibly recover a year of my life where Mr. Lemis threatened me, endangered my pets and destroyed my beautiful home. A project that was supposed to take 12 weeks has now gone over a year and crossbuild has walked off the job repeatedly. Atis Lemis, a convicted felon, wrote the contract, set the price and wrote the payment terms. He took a 1/3 down payment and spent it all before he ever started my job. Rather than follow the contract, he then would demand money whenever he felt like it under the threat of walking off the job which he did anyway - pure EXTORTION!! He also colluded with another criminal, James Andrew Kehoe III, formerly of Orion construction and RJT, to pay him to help convince me to use his company who he then paid $10,000 of my money to Mr Kehoe in a deal that was done completely behind my back. Crossbuilds work is substandard and Mr. Lemis does not know what he is doing. The wood floor in the new room is unfinished and must be redone, builtins, which were extra, were never finished, the roofing material he used is discoloring and cracking and will soon leak. He never completed more than $20,000 worth of work in the contract and the damage to my property is very extensive. The entire front yard, including two parking spaces were entirely destroyed. My rear yard had a stone path which Crossbuilds workers destroyed most of the beautiful white stone pieces by throwing construction materials onto them. Much of my landscaping is dead and the way Crossbuild ran the new gutter system has caused enormous erosion issues. My driveway is cracked and caving in from the weight of trucks Crossbuild ran onto it. Both sliding glass doors that were installed leaked and much of the finish work does not match the original house. Two attic fans installed by Mr. Lemis do not work. Mr. Lemis and Crossbuild are quite literally a criminal enterprise. They violated multiple clauses in the contract including Material Breach of Contract, Time is of the essence and the projected completion date at 12 weeks which is now over a year and Mr. Lemis has left the job permanently as he informed me in text. Specifically, if I did not pay him more money (not remotely in compliance with the contract and all of which has been fully paid) he was never returning. If you hire Crossbuild, Atis Lemis or James Kehoe you can be sure your property will be damaged, your money stolen and the job will never be completed. If I had known of Mr. Lemis criminal past I would never have hired him nor should you. He is dangerously unstable and very aggressive. He has spent the past two summers working on a local private school. His work endangers the children who will attend that school as he told me part of roof he put in collapsed last year. CROSSBUILD AND ATIS LEMIS ARE DANGEROUS CRIMINALS. DO NOT HIRE THEM! I tried to upload photos to show the extent of the damage. Unfortunately the app did not allow me to.

    Anthony & Sylvan Pools
Great, Josh and his team tested my water samples and provided guidance with what chemicals to add. At first it didn't work so we tried a higher strength chemical (Pink-X) which seemed to do the job. The pool is crystal clear.

    Anthony & Sylvan Pools
The A&S staff was great and provided options for several different pool pumps. Once selected, the A&S technician was able to install it without us being home. They did a great job and the pool equipment works great.

Michael Nash Design Build & Homes
Fantastic. Very responsive and professional. Devotion to your satisfaction. They even installed free drapes--the hallmark of their full remodel--after just fixing things that took the toll of time and daily use: cabinets, grout, shower doors, paint, granite finish. And we got beautiful new drapes installed. Such a kind, gracious gesture! Blew me away. It's rare these day to see a company so dedicated to its customers years, after the actual remodel is done. We are ready for a new kitchen and master bath soon and this will be the THIRD Michael Nash masterpiece. Not even considering anyone else!!! Why not continue with the best, most reliable, proven company? Do yourself a favor and buy peace of mind and life long, responsive service. You will be treated like family. It simply doesn't get any better in any area. We've dealt with a lot of contractors and Michael Nash are simply in a class all of their own! Service and excellence!

This service provider was hired to open my pool. After several times calling to see when they will come, they finally answered and said they will come the next day at 2pm to open the pool. They never showed up, never called, nor are they answering phone calls and voice messages. I believe this company might be a scam. I would like full refund from Angies List.

    Mole Construction Inc
We hired Mole Construction, Inc. after reading all of the positive reviews on Angie's List and interviewing them (along with three other contractors). Mole won our bid because they gave us the best estimate for the scope of work they proposed. Construction on our new room began in January. Although the crew didn't work everyday in the cold weather, they would work for a solid 8-12 hours on a Saturday (they framed the entire 232 square foot addition in one day) to get the project done. Enduring a blizzard, cold temperatures and less-than ideal weather, Manuel and his team worked diligently through the winter months. Manuel was great about communicating with me about the best times to work on the room and pricing for materials. He and everyone in his crew were extremely polite, respectful and did everything they could to make sure we were happy with the job. The crew always left the job site clean and tidy and were sure not to disturb us during the construction. Additionally, Manuel was aware that we had a budget for the project and ensured that he checked with us and presented as many options as possible, before going ahead and purchasing materials. The room was completed in the amount of time promised and we couldn't be happier with the result. if you're looking for a solid, honest company for your next home improvement project, I highly recommend Mole Construction. We'll be going back to them with all future projects!

I've given up on PoolService Company and have turned to Leslie's.  So far so good!.  I was a long-time customer of PoolService (20+ years) but I cannot tolerate the substandard customer service I've experienced in the recent seasons.  Incompetence and rudeness seem to be the hallmarks of my experience with PoolService, and that is why PoolService is fired, forever.
Unions clearly labeled "do not lubricate" are left covered in sticky waterproof grease.
Requests to install new valves are simply refused.  The existing valves are locked closed.  Two callbacks result not in repairs, but in lectures from the pool technician, telling me that I don't know what I'm talking about.
Waterproof covers are left open, showering the timer mechanisms with pool water, resulting in rust and damage.
Heater is left filled with leaves and pine needles, resulting in flame rollout and requiring emergency service.
I could go on, but what's the point?  Merchantability is the central issue here.  My patience with PoolService Company is permanently exhausted.

Our experience with JW Contracting was excellent.  Mr. Walsh is professional and extremely knowledgeable.  He is honest about the cost and the work that needs to be done.  He gives you a base price and you can add extras from there.  His price was competitive with the other bids.  He did exactly what he said he would.  Pleasure to work with him.  His crew is amazing; the stonework they did is gorgeous!  We absolutely love the pool and deck. His team is curious, kind, and truly professional. Wonderful job, done on budget and on time.
Three caveats.  He does not take credit cards.  Helps to have a Spanish speaker available to talk to the crew.  He leaves only a small amount of ?extra? material upon request.  With other contractors if I buy a pallet of stone or a box of tile, they leave me the unused material.  He refused and would not explain why not.  We had a disconnect on that, but otherwise no problems.

We had been with our previous company for 7 years for weekly service/opening and closing and they had recently (June 2013) completed a full pool renovation which included installing a salt water system and full coping/tile replacement and resurfacing with pebbletek.  Once the renovation was completed (mid-summer 2013) our previous company expressed challenges with getting the salt balanced properly and they could not get rid of an algae issue.  We attempted to continue to work with the company until late June 2014 when the owner called and told us that we ned to stop using the salt water system - that the pool resurfacing was causing issues that we making it impossible to balance the salt and other chemicals. We were unwilling to accept this assessment and were committed to using the recently installed salt system.  My husband took the water sample to a pool company to have it analyzed and everything was out of balance.  We called several companies to discuss our situation and to get an estimate.  We were specifically interested in someone who had experience with pebbletek surfaces and lots of experience with salt water pools.  Potomac Pools was extremely knowledgeable and well managed.  They came immediately to look at the pool and called us to discuss the issues.  It turns out that the sand in the filter was disgusting and unable to filter properly.  Resolving this along with balancing the salt and chemicals every other day for a week quickly resolved the problem.  Within two weeks we had a properly functioning filter and a crystal clear pool.  This company is great - they are by no means inexpensive however, it is worth it to us to not have to worry anymore.  We receive an email after every single visit, the people who work on the pool are extremely easy to communicate with and they come on the scheduled day of the week for service... The pool has never looked so good and we haven't had to worry.
