    Wolf, Dr. Kathy E.
My experience with her has been great. She is very cheerful and easy to talk to. She was very knowledgeable about what I was going through. We have to plan ahead of time to get a hold of her. As in any doctor's office we have to wait for the doctor to come in and see us. We haven't had any problem with the billing.

    Filipescu, Dr. Nicolae
My yearly check ups always went well and were conducted professionally, on time. Dr Filipescu is very experienced and someone I trust. However, I found it challenging communicating with him when I was facing some health issues that he was treating. While his course of action seemed appropriate, he did not provide a lot of information during the consultation or try to reassure me. His responses when I asked questions were sometimes short and dismissive. I did not always feel like I had all the answers I was looking for when leaving his office.

    DiPaolo, Dr. Sanda
She is very easy to talk to and addresses your questions and concerns well. I would recommend her as your gynecologist, even if she can  be extra cautious or conservative at times, but always for the good of her patient. Her staff is super friendly and accommodating when it comes to appointments.
She has an office in Arlington and McLean: her Mclean office is a little outdated with older technology but she is moving in July 2012 to a new and more modern facility.

    Filipescu, Dr. Nicolae
I've been going to Dr. Filipescu for 20+ years. I had one in-office procedure many years ago that has been a successful treatment to this day, but otherwise I just go to him annually for a standard pelvic exam. After last year's exam I was informed that the PAP test results were abnormal or "uncertain", so an endometrial biopsy was recommended. I did my research, and was pretty scared about this procedure, but the good doctor used the "pipelle" process, and I only felt a brief, mild cramping sensation, much to my relief! And it turns out that those results were normal. Dr. F. might not have the best bedside manner-- he is a little brusque, and he can be judgmental, but frankly, more doctors should be upfront with their patients in that regard. Poor lifestyle choices, for example. If you take good care of yourself, do what you can to stay healthy, maintain a healthy weight, he's quite complimentary. He also has a dry sense of humor, which I rather like. He always takes his time with me, and when I've had questions or concerns, he's not rushed me out to get to the next patient. He definitely has his opinions, though, but when I've respectfully brought up a subject and some of the stuff I've read about it, if he disagrees I just take it as another data point. He's never belittled me for questioning anything. Most of all, I trust him as a professional. He knows what he's doing, he's gentle, and if I didn't feel comfortable with him, I wouldn't have been his patient for over two decades. Assuming my PAP results are normal THIS time, I won't be seeing him again, as I will be moving west in the next month or two. We said our goodbyes and "good luck"s and hugged. He always has a smile for me (but I'm a smiler, too, and he responds well to someone who's positive) and he mentioned twice that I should never hesitate to contact him with questions or issues in the future. I thought that was very nice of him, but then again, we have a long history.

I have been seeing her for about 15 years and I have had two children with her. She is just very reasonable, sensible, caring and gives things to you straight. I am more comfortable with a female gynecologist and it is a small practice. It is a father-daughter practice. She is approachable and young. The staff is very friendly and puts you at ease. It takes a while to get an appointment, but you can get in quickly for any emergency. She is very straightforward and very matter of fact. She is kind.

My wife has been with her for about four years, and I think she is very good. My wife told me few times that she is very thorough. The office is pretty clean and organized. I think the staff there is very friendly. I had been with her there once.

    Motesharrei, Dr. Bita
The appointment went really well. I recently moved to the area and was nervous about finding a good gynecologist because I wanted a doctor as good as my last doctor which I had for 18 years! I was very impressed with my overall experience with this doctor. She took the time to learn my medical history and had excellent bedside manners. She was very knowledgeable about different types of birth control pills and suggested a new pill. She was genuinely interested in my health and because of this, I will be returning.

She used to be in a network of gynecologists that delivered my first baby, but I switched gynecologists. She just seemed to be very genuine, takes her time, unlike a lot of other gynecologist that seem to be very busy and don?t spent a lot of time answering questions or talking to you. She genuinely takes a lot of time to answer any questions you have and to figure out what the issue is. She makes sure the 15 minutes she spends with you are 15 quality minutes.

    DiPaolo, Dr. Sanda
Overall I have received excellent care from Dr. DiPaolo. She is good at explaining things and always happy to answer any questions I have. When I first started seeing Dr. DiPaolo several years ago, one of the things I liked best about her was her comforting bedside manner. More recently, I have found that is sometimes the case, but not always. My first baby was diagnosed with a heart defect and I felt that she was pushy in trying to convince me to have a scheduled c-section even though the specialists I saw said that a c-section was completely unnecessary. In terms of obstetric care, her practice is fairly conservative. For example, she is inclined to order tests or refer me to a specialist at the slightest indication of a potential problem and strongly discourages taking any medication except Tylenol during pregnancy. This is an approach that I appreciate, but others may not.

    Filipescu, Dr. Nicolae
I felt that he did not listen to my wishes for my pregnancy and delivery. He seemed to be condescending and so much of the expert that he did not listen to what I had to say about my own health. I was not satisfied with him and will not recommend him to other people. He was easy to get an appointment with and was punctual. The office environment and staff was good.
