    Arlington Eye Center
Because I a extremely near sighted with a strong astigmatism, after discussions with Dr. Patel, I decided to have femtosecond laser cataract surgery for both eyes with the insertion of  toric intraocular lenses. Dr. Gaspar (who had done yearly eye examinations for me in the past and also did cataract surgery on my mother) did the surgery. Dr. Gaspar has a friendly, patient manner. He explains everything in detail to the patients. He is extremely experienced, knowledgeable and a highly skilled surgeon. He performed the surgery on both of my eyes, a week apart, and the procedures were successful. I am recovering quickly and without complications. I can now see clearly.

    Jackson, Dr. Oscar B.
Dr. Jackson is very nice, if a bit old-fashioned. His office is very dated in terms of the waiting room and some of the equipment he uses to attract kids attention for exam purposes (Howdy Doody animatronics, e.g). That said, I think he's very good with kids, a little less good with parents. I feel like I have to clarify what he's telling me often. But my son loves him, and I trust that his glasses prescription and treatment plan are appropriate.

    Goldberg, Dr. Fred E.
Dr. Goldberg was very competent and clear in his explanations. Overall, my experience was quite good. I was able to get my first appointment very quickly and did not have to wait long in the office. For the follow-up appt, however, I waited about 25 minutes which was a little frustrating. My only caveat is to check which insurance they accept. I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield which they did not accept.

Put in an order for prescription glasses not to exceed insurance allowance for any part of the order.  The owner picked a frame covered by insurance and "required" payment for a case.  (This was because too many glasses were returned broken according to owner.)  No receipt was provided for the glasses, just a receipt for the mandatory case which I insisted upon.  Didn't think I needed a receipt for the glasses since they would be no cost directly to me.  Owner indicated she would call when glasses were ready.
Received a statement of benefits from my insurance company that the frame was a deluxe frame that exceeded insurance allowance and that there was substantial "not otherwise classified" charges that exceeded the insurance benefits.
Two months later I still have not received a call indicating the glasses are ready.  Calling the optometrist results in a recording that indicates there must be an appointment on certain days or that they are too busy with customers to talk to anybody.  I will not make an appointment without a full explanation of any charges from the optometrist.
In several calls to the insurance company they indicated they have paid the statement of benefits charges submitted by the optometrist.  They do not check that the changes have been agreed to by me.  All they required from the optometrist is the insurance card information and verification info on me such as DOB.

    Village Eye Center
On his first visit, the optometrist referred him to an opthamologist for lens replacement, saying that getting a glasses' prescription at this point, would be a waste of time. He appreciated his honesty. The Referral was excellent and he subsequently had both lenses in his eyes replaced.
I went for a regular eye exam and for new prescription glasses. Again, the optometrist said that my needs were borderline and it was entirely up to me whether I wanted to pursue a prescription for distance vision. Once my decision was made, it took only several days to receive the new glasses, in comparison to my previous optometrist who needed almost 2 weeks. Everyone was friendly, professional and helpful.
I would definitely recommend Village Eye Care.

    Goldberg, Dr. Fred E.
This is the second time my 6 year old daughter has seen Dr. Goldberg. He has a very calming demeanor and made my daughter feel comfortable about the exam. He explained what he was doing throughout and was very thorough. While my daughter is farsighted, Dr. Goldberg recommended that we wait to get glasses (since my daughter is so young) until my daughter was ready and felt she needed them (as opposed to forcing them on her). He could have easily pushed us to get glasses and buy lenses from his office that day. And the advice to wait worked because she asked for glasses the following week.

    Goldberg, Dr. Fred E.
I have been seeing Dr Goldberg for many years and he is easy to talk to and willing to work with paitents. At this point he sees my husband, mother, children and some other families that we know. He is wonderful with children and has found issues with my son that could not be found on a standard eye test. He has a baseline for each of my children from when they were infants and then started annual exams when they were 3.

    Karlin, Dr. Kenneth M.
We started seeing him six months ago and we have each had one appointment. So far it has been very good. We love the technician. She is very efficient. He gave my wife laser surgery for glaucoma less than a month ago so we don't know the results yet. It takes two to three weeks to get in for an appointment. The office is great and has every piece of equipment that we can imagine. He is very, very punctual. We did have to pry some information out of him. He gave me a glasses prescription but I haven't received them yet. We knew all the costs upfront and he takes Medicare.

    Goldberg, Dr. Fred E.
I was able to get an appointment the day after I called. I felt like he took plenty of time with us. My daughter is only eight and she was scared and he was very good with her. The office is convenient, it was quick to get an appointment and they were easy to deal with. The glasses came in when they said they would. I would definitely recommend him.
