    Nova Solar
One of the main reasons my wife and I picked Nova Solar was the fact they use top of the line materials. The solar panels alone have a 30 year warranty. The mounting brackets are made and installed very sturdy as well. We live in Martinsville, VA and Nova Solar traveled in the night before and the ladder hit the roof at the exact time they said they were going to begin working. We talked with other companies. A couple of the companies told us things that were too good to be true. These companies were less expensive, because they were selling us less panels and trying to tell us that the output was going to be higher than Nova's estimate. To me this goes back to the quality of work that Nova does. Even their estimates are done with great professionalism. Second thing that told me Nova was a great company was the fact that they had competitors suggesting that I call them. I called a company in northern VA (I don't remember who), this company told me that they did not do work in my area, but they would high recommend Nova. Nova was on my list of companies to call but when their competitor told me to call them I knew they did amazing work. I would highly recommend Nova Solar to anyone and everyone.

Joe's Window washing and Pressure washing
They were on time and the product they used was excellent. The windows stayed clean for a long time afterwards and they even cleaned up the window sills and gutters as well. I would highly recommend them and I would definitely use them again.

All My Son Moving & Storage
Our experience with them was a week long nightmare. We are Marvin and Pamela Taylor, veterans of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. On Friday, June 30, 2017, we had All My Sons Moving & Storage (AMS) to move our property from our townhome, and storage facility in Danville Virginia, to the new home we purchased in Martinsville Virginia (29.7 miles away). We were first quoted a price of $350 for the total move, which included packing up our property at the townhome and picking up additional property at our storage facility two miles away. Once AMS arrived at our townhome, around 1:30 PM on the day of the move, the price changed to $350 an hour for the use of two trucks and two teams. It was already, 1:30 PM and too late for us to cancel and find another moving company, because we had to be out of our townhome before midnight. So, we decided to let AMS move us, and planned to pay the inflated rate of $2,800 for 8 hours work. Upon arrival to our new home in Martinsville, we were told that we had to pay $7,000 before they unload our property. This was a lot more than expected. To pay AMS in full, we needed to get the rest of the funds from our credit cards that we had stored in our lock box, which had been packed away by AMS on the truck. The team leader would not allow us to access the box, even after a couple of AMS employees stated that they remembered packing it, and they had a good idea of its location on the truck. We were then asked to fill out a payment authorization form, which we were willing to do, but was unable to complete. It required us to write down the 16-digit credit card numbers, expiration dates, and 3-digit security codes, which we did not have memorized. We tried looking up our account information from our cell phones, and were able to obtain all 16-digits on some accounts, but were unable to retrieve the expiration dates and 3-digit security codes on any of our credit cards. We called the credit card companies and LifeLock for assistance, but no one had access to this information. So, at 9:30 PM, All My Sons Moving & Storage, took our property back to their facility in Mechanicsville, Virginia (3 hours away). They told us that they will charge us $500 a day, per truck until we pay them $7,000 for their services. We were also told, that even after we pay the $7,000, we will have to pay an additional $2,500 to have them bring our property back to our home. It was 4th of July weekend and no banks were open, so we had to find a family member to pay the bill which was reduced to $5,500 the next morning. It was paid at by credit card over the phone at 10:00 AM. We were told that our property would be delivered to us that afternoon. After numerous phone calls, messages, and emails sent to AMS, seeking an estimated arrival time, we were then told that they couldnt make the delivery that day, but will deliver our property to us on Sunday. After numerous phone calls, messages, and emails Sunday morning, we were told that we were not going to have our property delivered to us until the following Wednesday. Our property was off loaded, and eventually, reloaded onto two different trucks, and finally delivered to us on July 5th, and we were charged and paid an additional $2,589.44. We paid All My Sons Moving & Storage a total of $8,089.44 to be moved 29.7 miles away. They kept our property for almost a week and when it was finally returned to us, we had 19 broken, damaged and missing items, totaling $9,443.95. We filed a claims report and was offered $300, which we declined to accept. We were told that since we signed the Bill of Lading (BOL) we were only entitled to receive $0.60 per pound for our claim. We didnt see that information on the BOL, and besides even if we did, what choice would weve had? Before AMS will unload our property from their trucks, we are still required to pay and sign the BOL. Our experience with All My Sons Moving & Storage was expensive and unnecessarily aggravating. They did not make their charges and fees clear prior to the move. Once the bill went from $350 total, to $7,000, they would not even attempt to accommodate us so that we could pay them that night. The means by which to pay them was in a lock box that they packed, just a foot away on their truck. Instead they choose to hold our property hostage, resulting in my family and I sleeping on the floor in an empty house for almost a week. We had to sign the Bill of Lading under duress in order to receive our property, resulting in a $300 maximum settlement offer for our damages claimed. I would not use this company ever again!

    Renewable Engineered Systems
Wonderful, it was a very quick and easy process. Brian talked us through it and in no time we had a 3KW system mounted on a frame in the garden and the invertor installed in the basement. Brian talked us through working with our power company to get the system checked and approved and we now get credits from the power company for power we provide to the grid. In addition we are set up to get Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) payments for providing clean energy. We also got a free Energy Audit which helped locate some problems areas we were able to fix. The system has basically cut our energy costs in half. I have hesitation in recommending them to anyone interested in solar energy.

    MARTINSVILLE PLUMBING HEATING AND AIR
I called Martinsville Plumbing, Heating and Air. They gave me an estimated time of an hour and a half. They arrived in approximately 1 hour and took care of all my needs in less than 2 hours. They were friendly, professional and did a great job.

    Accredited Roofing

Steve was very quick to respond to my request for a free estimate.  What was impressive is that he did a video as he climbed the ladder walked upon the roof and inspected the chimney chase.  In this video he described the areas of concern and the possibility of future problems that may occur if we didn't repair/replace the chimney chase.  I never felt pushed to make a decision but I did feel informed well with honesty.

The decision was made to replace the chimney chase and was completed within the week since the assembly had to ordered.

Steve gave good feedback and returned phone calls promptly.  I will not hesitate to use Steve in the future.

    Jeremiah Doss Construction

Provider is a really nice guy, but lacks organizational skills and ability to guide the project.  Contractor took almost 3 months to accomplish the task.  We had to adjust what we wanted in some areas because he failed to follow through on ordering the materials.  It should have been a sign when he gave us the initial estimate and we handed him pictures of all the desired flooring, tubs, fixtures, tiles, etc. that we wanted and after he left everything we gave him was left laying in our driveway.  He never called to ask for the information.

    AMERICAN OF VIRGINIA INC
Overall, experience was okay. I've never hired movers before so I'm not exactly certain on what the usual process is. I spoke with a very courteous fella to discuss the details over the phone and he set me up with a crew of two guys that were very helpful. I think I would have appreciated a followup phone call to assure my experience was a good one but it was mid-summer so I'm sure they were a busy lot.

    Prillaman & Pace Inc
Upon inspection, they determined the source of the leak was from the hot water handle, which was leaking not just at the faucet but also under the sink.. They had a brand new faucet set in hand in their truck  and replaced our old Delta faucet with the two handles.
The repair took them about an hour and a half. Their hourly rate is $125/hour and $90/hour after the first hour. We were charged $170 for labor and $138.50 for the new faucet,, which is a chateau one-handle low arc kitchen faucet w/spray hose. I did my research and they gave us a fair price for the faucet. Not the best price, but a fair price in comparison to if we were to buy the faucet directly from Moen. If we had gone to Lowe's or purchased it from another seller online, it probably would have cost us a lot less, but we called them to fix our faucet without thinking we would need a completely new one.
Overall, we are very happy with their service. They were prompt, had a brand new faucet in hand, and fixed the leak. They are not cheap by any means in terms of hourly rate, but then when hiring a good plumber, you get what you pay for and we are certainly happy customers with the work by these professional plumbers from Prillaman & Pace.
