PB Heating and Air Conditioning LLC
The owner was very professional and came out personally to give a quote. A system was agreed upon as well as price. Phil came out on agreed upon start date after permits were pulled in the county. and installed complete system in a weeks time (include's inspection from county). He installed the ductwork, air handler, air intake space as well as venting and ductwork...everything. The house had no central a/c prior to Phil's installation. He installed a Lennox system and provided UV wrap of all the exposed wiring and pipes to reduce weather exposure. He was prompt, courteous, professional and extremely knowledgeable! He is truly a master HVAC professional. We are very lucky to have enlisted his services, my home has never been more comfortable. A big thank you to Mr. Banks and his company.

It's two units; one was a unit I just had installed.  For price, it was reasonable.  They're a very professional company.  The workers were all professional.  They installed a new system for me in April, 2016.

    Commonwealth Cooling & Heating LLC
We used Commonwealth twice for furnace installation and could not be happier. Before the house furnace was replaced we did have the old one repaired since the technician said it could be fixed and still had some life left. I really appreciated the fact that he was not just trying to upsell a new furnace. After a few more years it was finally time to replace it. They had to put in new duct work along with the new furnace. We were very impressed by the professionalism of the technician. He listened to our issues about heating/cooling the whole house in winter vs summer so installed baffles that allow us to control greater flow upstairs vs downstairs depending upon the time of year. It has worked wonderfully and we are very happy with the work.

    Climatic Heating & Cooling
Everything went well, the technician was nice and seemed competent. My problem is with the billing. I purchased my service through Angies List. Climatic keeps billing me for the service. I have now received a bill that says I am 90 days past due. I take my credit rating seriously. I will AGAIN spend my time to straighten this out, as I did a few months ago. The 20$ I saved going through Angies List is not worth hassle.

F H Furr Plumbing Heating AC & Electrical
Perfectly! Mark was thorough, professional and efficient. He listened, made great suggestions and left us with new lighting in our workshop and storage area. He replaced outlets and switches, made a change to bring the laundry room up to code, and replaced exterior GFIs. I also use Furr for HVAC and for pluming work and have been very satisfied.

    TLC Services
The tech, Andrew, was simply outstanding! He troubleshot the entire system and saved me thousands of dollars from an un-reputable A/C service provider who was trying to scam me into buying a new system. Andrew concluded my A/C system was working fine and the only problem I had was an incorrectly sized capacitor! It is such a pleasure to find an honest and trustworthy company such as TLC. They have gained a customer for life, and I will recommend them to all of my friends and family. Great job TLC!

    Appleton Campbell
The technician was punctual, polite, and very complete in troubleshooting my A/C system. Unfortunately, he identified thousands of dollars of unnecessary repairs, then offered to sell me a new system, and at the end of the day he did not correctly fix the problem. I was quoted over $9,200 of "to do list" repairs, such as a $1,100 "air scrubber ultra-violet air purification system" and $1,300 to refill refrigerant, among others, which had nothing to do with correcting the problem or were superfluous. The technician then suggested rather than paying $9,200, I should consider "upgrading" to a new system with price quotes from $10,200 to over $16,500. The technician did get the A/C system running after installing an under-rated 4uF blower motor capacitor (needed capacitor rating is 5uF) and he did not reinstall the air filter, although he certainly should have known the system manual clearly cautions to "never operate furnace without a filter in place. Doing so may damage the furnace blower motor." The system was ultimately correctly diagnosed and repaired by a different A/C company at minimal cost.

McCrea Heating & Air Conditioning Services of VA
Scott was great! He explained what he was doing as well as talking to us about how to keep our costs lower. It was educational and now our system is running great. Very knowledgeable and personable. He talked to us about our options and based on the age of our unit he suggested the annual plan. It was because of his professionalism and knowing we'd get that again, that we agreed that would be the best option for us.

    --Follow up--
Called GssN to inform them the house fan didn't appear to run at full speed when the AC was on or off.  Duke at GssN apologized for not following up with us after the 2nd visit and confirmed that the unit was working as designed after speaking to the manufacturer.  When I explained the latest finding of the fan not running at full speed he said he would send someone out within a day or 2 free of charge to check the system again.  He was very thorough and was very educational.  They were able to get me on the schedule quickly and sent out the original tech.  He spent at least 45 minutes working with the unit and afterwards explained the situation using the manufacturers manual.  He explained the design of the unit and that this design wasn't the usual, but that it was working properly.  After he answered my questions and reviewed the manual, with my wife and I were much more confident with the outcome.  With the latest interaction I've improved my rating from a C overall to a B.

    Appleton Campbell
I returned home to find water running out of the front of my house under the kitchen window.  I called three plumbers before finally reaching somebody which turned out to be Appleton Campbell.  They had a plumber on site in less than two hours.
The plumber was prompt, punctual and professional in demeaner.  The leak ended up being located in a wall behind the cabinet under the kitchen sink.  The plumber had to remove water lines to a disposal, instant hot water heater and other pieces of plumbing to access the area.  He also had to cut a 12" x 12" hole in the wall to access the pipe in order to replace the leaky section.
Although a price breakdown was supplied before cutting the hole in the wall, it was a very confusing estimate.  It offered one price for the work and another price if you are an Appleton Campbell HSA customer.  Although you initial the price breakdown, it is not clear which price you are initialing.  I believed I was paying less than half of the charged cost for cutting the access hole in the wall.  The cost just to cut a hole in the wall was over $400.  I could have cut the hole in the wall for him if I had realized that was the actual amount being charged.
Although the leak in the wall was repaired, removing and moving around the other plumbing resulted in multiple additional leaks within the week after the plumber left that the homeowner repaired.
I have had a previous pinhole leak repaired with re-routing a section of plumbing for a quarter of the cost that Appleton Campbell charged.  In a desperate situation where prompt attention is required and cost is not an issue, then Appleton Campbell is the one to call.
