AA A Action Waterproofing IncProfessional, knowledgeable person conducted inspection of work to be done and presented a realistic, no games, offer. While not the least cost of the proposals received, we appreciated the honesty. The work was done on schedule, very professional, super cautious with dust and protection of house, and minimum disruption. No change orders required. Work was completed in two days. Very happy with work and professional quality of company and its employees.- Susi M.

AJES Foundation RepairTwo sets of piers (one on front side and other on the side) were installed 4 months a part. Both installations went well. One side of the house was 1 3/4" lower than the other. JES was able lift that side 1" to reduce asymmetry. Jaime and DeShawn were incredibly professional and detailed in their explanations when we had questions.- David P.

AZign ConsultingPrior to any demolition work, I called on Zign Consulting to help me figure it out whether it would be simple or complicated to remove two walls that were separating the kitchen and living space. I really appreciated Sit's communication and responsiveness throughout; the day of the site visit she inspected the first floor and basement and provided sound advice. Based off of her recommendations, I removed the two walls without any issue and am currently enjoying my new open floor plan. I am happy to support a woman-owned, woman-run business and will call upon Sit and her team again for future projects.- Sandi T.

AEdram General Construction LlcEdram Construction provided multiple options for proper and safe repair of a timber support beam. As part of the initial quote, the options were explained in detail and we were able to come to consensus on a satisfactory repair despite my own lack of knowledge in the area. The engineer was knowledgeable and provided an accurate estimate before the work began and was available on site for most of the day. The workers were professional, respectful, and friendly. They protected the area and kept it clean. Upon completion, the only evidence that work was done was as agreed. The nearby affected drywall, paint, and trim was replaced as good as new and still matching the untouched surrounding areas. The work was completed in a single day and overall it went very well.- Phil c.

AKemp Home Inspections, LLCWe reached out to Kemp Home Inspections after a month of moving in to our new home. We noticed various issues with the house, from minor cracks, to un-level floors. For confirmation that we didn't have a major structural issue on our hands, we had Greg come out and do an extremely through inspection of the house to rule out any major issues. He was on time, and happily answered my questions. I'd definitely recommend Kemp for anyone needed an honest inspection or assessment.- Fady S.

ARichard's Tree ServiceCouldn't be more pleased. Fast, great job, efficient, pleasant, cleaned up beautifully. With tree leaning on house, holes in the roof and rain threatening, we called at 2pm and asked them to come immediately. By 6pm, four hours later, they were done and gone! I would definitely recommend Richard's to anyone.- Janet and Michael M.

AJES Foundation RepairAll went well. Some issues with the foundation were worse than thought so the work took a little longer but it was definitely needed. Part of an addition had been built without proper foundation as in none. It was hanging in air. They made an extra trip to replace and fix drains that had to be removed. Took extra care to make sure as little damage to carpet as possible. Terrance Blackwell and crew came for the outside work. They were great. I really appreciated Terrance's extra trip to make sure the drains were fixed. Austin Wells and Peter Dang came for basement floor lift and level and I greatly appreciated their extra effort to take care of the carpets even though they had to drill through the floor. The little extras made a big difference. Good people, good work.- James C.

BIt went well. The job was performed to the specifications laid out in the contract. It was finished on time with a professional work crew. My one quibble with them was how they dealt with our plants. They were less attentive to making sure the property was restored to its previous state. However, they fixed the issue promptly once it was raised. I would recommend GeoFreeze for foundation and engineering work.

FRichards tree service came and did a $500 tree trimming job and I know have $1200 in damages to my backyard. On Nov 28th. 2020 “Richard Tree Service” came to my house to trim a tree in the backyard. They trimmed the tree with a fence and raised bed directly under the tree branches. Large branches were not cut in small chunks, but large heavy branches were cut and fell 20+ feet. While the branches were falling on the fence, a post in the center of the fence broke as well as the raised bed. The fence is now leaning because of the broken post. I reached out to Richards Tree Service many times from Nov 29th, through Dec 9th and they mostly avoided my calls at that time. After Dec 9th they reached out and said they will not do anything to mitigate this issue. The fence needs to be repaired. They say they will not repair anything. I got a quote for the repair and its over $1200 because there is a nice raise bed also attached to the post. They have since said that the post has mold and was compromised before they trimmed. All the other posts are not compromised and have no mold, and it is not easy to see the raised bed wood. I also don’t agree that the broken post is moldy, its broken. They want me to pay the $1200 to have someone repair the fence and bed. They also stated they wanted to be there when I have MY fence repair person come pay… I don’t have $1200 to dish out just for them to later say “still not paying”. They have insurance but refuse to use it. I have tried contacting the insurance information but their provider never responds. Also, even with all of this happening I tried to pay my bill. Apparently to pay they wanted me to take down someone’s wife’s phone number to give her my credit card. I get it that this is a small business person who may be just contracted through Richards tree service, but its still unprofessional. I do not feel comfortable giving someone’s wife my credit card and will be trying to pay a different way. I also had someone else come out to look at their job. They left cut branches just sticking out. I am not sure why they didn’t cut from the base of other branches or the trunk. I am pretty sure those random branches will just get decay and potentially hurt the tree. The job does not look good, but hey the leaves are gone I guess? I have limited options to proceed, I cannot pay the $1200 for the repairs and Richards Tree Service says they won’t do anything on their side. 1. They should have trimmed the branches in smaller chunks. Not large ones that would drop on the fence. Make sure you have a video of their job if you go with them, and tell them to make smaller cuts. 2. They should use their insurance, if the insurance finds that my backyard is all moldy (which I do not see) then they won’t have to pay for it, this is why you have insurance. 3. They should improve their billing solution. Its 2020 and there are safer ways to pay online with proof of receipts.

AHad a great experience with Chris Kuper at Basement Detective! My basement flooded from non-stop storms and I needed a sump pump installed along with complete renovation of my basement. They were very competitive in pricing and outstanding in results. Chris even helped coordinate with the contractor doing my basement renovation after the sump was installed to make sure none of the drainage was disturbed by the new work being done. I have since weathered at least 3 large storms and can hear the sump working as needed. Very happy with the results!

DMy basement had mold and evidence of water damage in July/August, and I was referred to Exterior Waterproofing Experts. The majority of the mold was on the side of my house, but the salesperson made a strong pitch about the need to waterproof the front of my home by digging up the garden down to the foundation. My wife was largely convinced, so we went ahead with the $8000 project. Six months later, the insulation behind the waterproofed front of the house is sopping wet. When the salesperson came back to my home to take a look, his explanation was that the water probably came up through the floor. His words were along the lines of "99% of the time the water comes up through the front." At this point, I feel like I have an expensive solution to a problem I didn't really have.
