"From the first
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
(the owner of the company) pledged to stay within our budget and we did so. I appreciated the honesty of the estimate (no
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
costs, and very clear what additional items we were responsible for).
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
accompanied me to the tile store and the plumbing supply store and with his experience he was able to steer me to something in our price range. All the men that came to work at our house were very considerate and cleaned up each day as much as possible. The painters and the tile layers did a meticulous job.

and
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
who did everything else (installing cabinet, plumbing, lighting and incidentals) were polite, efficient and always able to answer my many questions. The result was stunning! We went from a 1970s bathroom (basically original with the house) to a modern beautiful bathroom. I would recommend this company highly and when we can afford it, I would have them come again to do another job.

I was concerning about the communication but later on everything went well. I trusted to them so much and they did a great job.I provided the paint and appliances that's it. "We had couple of estimates given from multiple designers. One of them was
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and Bath. Initial appointment setup was very professional. I'm on a very tight schedule so VKB was nice enough to send a designer on a late evening. This gave my husband the opportunity to meet with the designer as well. 2 days later I received an email with the preliminary proposal along with a kind invitation to visit the showroom to discuss the design and the selections. From cabinets to knobs to even grout color selection, VKB had it all. We spent about 40 minutes trying to decide from numerous items on display. They were all very interesting and caught our attention. Luckily we had our designer help us minimize them by process of elimination. Job start was given couple of weeks after final measurements were taken. Company was quite busy (which is a good thing). Work started at around 8:00AM as promised with a demolition after explaining to the crew of the new layout by the job supervisor. Crew was kind enough to cover certain areas they thought that would get dusty. My husband and I would leave around 6:00 in the morning and come back around the same time in the evening. We're never home during the actual work so that takes away some stress construction would cause in every individual. Everyday crew would leave the site neat and free of any machinery. Trash was always picked up at the end of the day.

, our site supervisor, would come and inspect to catch issues that might come up later in the process. He was very easy to communicate and to deal with. We were able to reach him whenever we needed to if we had any questions and concerns. He was on top of everything at all times. The crew was very respectful of our property. We had only one minor issue with the design of the tile backsplash installation. There was a miscommunication between the installers and

Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
. Final outcome was worth the process. Everything turned out more than our expectations . We would love to use VKB for any future projects of ours. We haved already referred our family and friends. Thank you again VKB for being great at what you do. Erena and

"Fired contractor after four weeks due. We verbally expressed to the contractor and sent emails on our disappointment with their lack of communication. Contractor was notified in writing of the following reasons for cancellation.

1) Failure to provide supplies for subcontractors in a timely manner. Materials not delivered for subcontractors to preform tasks. Some days subcontractors arrived and then left due to lack of supplies. We took time off work to go on several occasions and pick-up some supplies ourselves just to keep the project moving.
2) Failure to have granite measured on agreed to date. This was first scheduled appointment after we informed them of our desire to cancel due to on-going issues we were experiencing.
3) Failure to produce a double wall oven cabinet. Sold a cabinet package which did not accommodate a double oven and company tried modifying by removing the bottom drawer. We were not aware until cabinet was delivered to house. No final solution was presented to us. We called cabinet manufacturer and confirmed no double oven cabinet is made for cabinets we were sold.
4) Failure to remedy grout color after wrong color applied.
5) Failure to produce glass doors over bar area. We called cabinet manufacturer and were informed these are not made for the cabinet we were sold either.
6) Failure to complete job in 15 days as originally told and noted on contract. Cost of job was at a premium amount but the appealing thing in contracting them was their ability to finish within three weeks and all products to select from were at their warehouse (cabinets, hardware, granite, etc.). We had lower estimates from other companies but selected them for a quick turn-around-time and convenience of a one stop shop.

There was no unforeseen problems that were encountered which would have caused any delay in this project. This evaluation is not against the subcontractors they used but strictly an evaluation of the company we hired. Subcontractors assigned to our project were excellent but no longer work for them.

There was also a issue where the measurements for one wall were inaccurate causing a 15 inch gap to door versus a 3 inch gap as per diagram provided. This required an additional upper and lower cabinet to be ordered and installed.
We asked the company to provide his incurred cost to date when informing them of our dissatisfaction with their service. This was refused.
Would NEVER recommend this company to any other individual.

"This was a complete remodel of both rooms. All appliances, cabinets, counters and floor were replaced. The project also involved redoing/relocation of plumbing, electric, duct work and drywall. From the beginning
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
recommended and assisted me in working with
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
Marble and Granite to select my cabinets and counter tops. They also referred my to
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
for a good selection of appliances, sinks, toilet, faucets and lighting. Overall
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
did an excellent job of coordinating all the deliveries, contractors, and installation of everything. There was a couple times when I was told something on the project was going to be completed and would come home and find it wasn't done and there were a couple quality issues that I thought should have been caught by the installer that weren't. I guess these are probably normal things when you have a project this large, but for me it was the first time.
Throughout the entire project
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was always responsive to my concerns and I there was never a time that I felt any issues would not be worked out. I would use
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
again for a future project.

We were disappointed to have spent so much time researching on Angie’s List for a contractor that produced quality work for reasonable
prices only to find one with great Angie’s List reviews, but one we were ultimately dissatisfied with.
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
is the company owner and he has painters, a floor guy, a tile guy, a plumber, and an electrician that he works with, though
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
does do some work himself. First impressions were good which is why he won this project over 2 other contractors. However, his responsiveness prior to the first payment was poor. We had to submit our contract to our lender in order for renovation money to be approved.
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
missed the deadline for the submission of the contract which nearly affected our closing date. Also, before we submitted the first payment, it was difficult to get in contact with him. He rarely answered his phone so we frequently asked questions via email or text but when he responded he didn't fully answer our questions.
I had informed him at the beginning that we wanted to start work ASAP after closing (
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
17) since our move in date was scheduled to be Aug 17, but after closing he said his schedule was filling up and he would not be able to start until the 1st or 2nd week in August. I was not happy about this so he agreed to start
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
27 with an anticipated date of completion of August 10 (which I got in writing). This allowed an extra week in case
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was delayed for whatever reason. So he agreed to these dates stating he would have to be out of town a few days but that he'd have his guys working while he was out. But right before the 27, he informs me he is going to be out for a week and that he did not have any work scheduled during his absence! He said we'll still have plenty of time since the date of completion was Aug 15. I reminded him it was the 10th, so he scheduled painting to be done while he was out.
During the
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
,
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was a bit more responsive but he ignored my repeated requests that everything be run through me for approval--nothing added or changed from the original contract without MY express approval. But he replaced the lighting fixture in the bathroom and the mirror in the bathroom without informing me or consulting me as to the design or anything. There were also issues that arose (such as a dirty gap behind the new toilet because the new toilet base was smaller than the previous toilet or a large gap between the kitchen countertop and backsplash due to the cabinets being uneven) that I was never informed about--I was just left to find these things on my own and hear excuses about them, but was never offered an opportunity to correct them before finding them on my own.
We were supposed to get a new electric line installed for the jacuzzi tub. But I had to get
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
approval. Due to
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
taking his time getting
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
requested documentation to me (and by the way he originally advised me not to even tell my
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
because it would delay work--I thought that was very unprofessional and I insisted it be done correctly), this delayed the approval and by the time the approval came through,
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
couldn't get his electrician out to do this project before move in day. For weeks I begged him to get this going and I kept getting the run around until I finally told him to forget it and asked for my deposit back. I got another 2 weeks of run around before I actually received the check.
My father was originally going to install new cabinet doors in the kitchen, but he asked
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
to do it instead as an addition to the contract. We realized Home Depot made an error and the cabinet doors did not fit. At this point I told
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
to hold everything--my parents and I would discuss that evening and we would inform him the next day what we wanted to do with the doors. But when I called to inform him of our decision, he had already painted all the cabinet doors white and said I was the one who told him to do that! I NEVER would have told him to paint them white--they were already white! But he still charged us for it! At this point, he says he's getting confused and is walking off site for the day until he can straighten everything out and draft a formal addendum for all the additions to the original contract. This delayed work nearly 2 days and it was only a few days til move in at this point because we had missed the Aug 10 deadline. I thought his addendum was ridiculous but my parents said we should go ahead so we could get everything done on time.
***Quality of Work:
1) Painting was sloppy. I don't think tape was used in the kitchen--green and white bleeding together at ceiling line. Green paint splotches were on electric outlets in kitchen, drip of green paint down my fridge, white splotch of paint on bathroom cabinet, paint on the sides of kitchen cabinet.
2) Patchwork was sloppy: There was a large outlet sized square on the bathroom wall which had not been sanded and leveled or drywalled over.
3) Tub Front:
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
agreed to build something for the jacuzzi tub front to hide the motor and underbelly of the tub. All he did was cut a piece of plywood and paint it 2 coats. It looks awful and doesn't even meet the tile, leaving a gap. Plus it is flimsy and is not a good material to serve its purpose since it will come in contact with water and humidity. He agreed to replace it after the contract was complete because I was dissatisfied but after 2 weeks of giving me the run around, he finally said he'd come fix it but for an additional $50! We already paid $175 for it--so we told him to forget it.
4) Dirty: I was going to pay a cleaning lady to come clean after
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
but before move in, but
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
assured me they would clean up thoroughly after
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
. I found dust and dirt all over the kitchen floor and counters, dust on the walls of the shower, debris and dirt loose or stuck to the bottom of the tub and bathroom sink, orange fingerprints all over the bathroom door (looked like hot sauce--I know that didn't come from us!!!)
5) Fixtures: the bathroom vent fan was missing, there were light fixtures either loose or missing, and there was a missing attic access cover.
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
fixed or replaced everything but the attic access cover when requested, but the vent fan was installed so that a noticeable gap was left.
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
had excuses for all of these issues, none of which involved blame from him or his company. When we expressed dissatisfaction about things, he never accepted blame and usually turned it around to be my fault or my parents' fault. But the bottom line here is, the experience was bad and the QUALITY was poor. The attached pictures evidence this, and cannot be argued or blamed back to us, though something tells me
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
will respond and again put all the blame back on us.

"2nd project by this company!
Manassas Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and his team did an excellent job on the remodel of my 2nd bathroom. Installed new porcelain tile, repaired drywall, installed new cabinetry, sink, and fixtures and reinstalled toilet, repaired and replaced moldings and shutoff valves in the house. As usual, very professional, prompt, friendly but most of all the same awesome high quality work they did on my first project with this company!! Thanks again for such a great job!"

"I approached this company late Nov. 2011 to have a service for wood floor and cry molding jobs. Based on my request, they provide me a project, which includes price estimate and approximate service time.
They perform a fantastic job and me and my family are enjoying the the service. I recommend this company to others who are looking a similar service. They will really love the service.
