General Contracting reviews in Manassas

Jose from Sosa and his crew did an excellent job! They first came to give an estimate (I had already taken 3 other estimates) and their price was very reasonable. Next they came back again with his primary tile installer (Pedro) so that they could both survey the amount of work and give a time estimate. Next, Jose met me at the tile shop to help me pick out what would look great and work in my spaces. They were prompt and worked though the weekends to finish my job in 10 days!! Not only did they remove all of the old tile, level out the floors that needed work and put in a fantastic new floor, they also installed a new vanity in the bathroom. I will be hiring them again for some more home improvements. This is a truly professional team lead by Jose Sosa. The men that work with him do a great job and they all work as a team!

From first contact to the last working with the professionals at Value Dry was a pleasure. I left a message on a Sunday and received a return call that day. Russ provided a very detailed estimate and explained the services recommended. When work began, I mentioned to Fletcher that the floor tiles that needed removing were discontinued, and he took the time to remove the tiles without breaking them to the extent possible without me even asking. Not only did he make every effort to minimize the disruption, but he went out of his way to help coordinate the repairs needed after the waterproofing was done. His recommendations helped us avoid ripping up part of our walkway and anticipated issues that might arise as we put our space back together. Most others would have not bothered as it's not their problem. Danny replaced our wood paneling, leveled our door, and replace the rotten threshold and again he made every effort to help get our space back in order. He's a true craftsman with attention to detail. Finally, we needed some minor adjustments after the project was almost done that were not originally anticipated and Fletcher and Danny returned to make sure the project was done to our satisfaction. I highly recommend Value Dry as every interaction was professional and sensitive to the disruption a water issue is for a homeowner. Plus, the price was very fair and actually a little lower than our other estimates.

I wrote a previous review for Jeremy for a kitchen remodel and gave the review an "A" - I empathize with other reviewers as to delays and non-responsiveness but was willing to go with Jeremy again because quality was good and he had worked with me in the past. This was a $125,000 job that took 5 months when it should have taken 3. Because of THE CONTRACTOR'S delays we missed the season for doing exterior work so had to live through the winter with a dismantled exterior and wait until spring for another 5 week reno of the front porch. The job was left with unfinished work - Jeremy refuses to answer calls or texts from both myself and my husband. The extent of unfinished work is not extensive. I have a master closet with no door because Jeremy was to build a sliding barn door for both the master closet and a master bath. Small tasks that any reasonable person would think should be easy to finish. That in itself should not warrant an F rating but the principal is more important than the work - if you are a returning customer who pays in advance - never leaves your contractor hanging out when he needs cash - and has never presented a problem throughout multiple large renovations, then treat your customers with dignity and professionalism. I had subcontractors show up at my front door several times asking if I had heard from Jeremy because they had not been paid. Others who had previously been burned by Jeremy who asked for his payment in advance. They have since come to me directly with follow on work and will never work with JEremy again. I've read other reviews from people who had small jobs done - Jeremy's average job appears to be small. In total over the past 3 years I have spent close to $200,000 with JEremy on kitchen remodel, basement remodel; next home main floor gut and remodel. He should learn to value customers since $500 handyman jobs won't sustain a business

It was a A+ service. The were professional, nice, quick to respond, on-time, cleaned up everything even went over our yard and driveway with a magnet to pick up nails. Worked non-stop. The team worked well together. Their Supervisor stopped by to check in progress and his Supervisor dropped in, unannounced, to check on them. Did all the work in 1 day. My bill was correct. The accounting department was nice and prompt with our billing. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! Ebven their 3rd party, delivery, service was amazing!

Bob did a great job; listened to all my details on my custom project. He has been in the contracting business a long time therefore his requisite experience is unparalleled compared to others. Any oversights he came across he knew how to remediate with little efforts. Unforeseen challenges always come up with custom work and he handled it with ease. We will have him back for some window replacements soon. Thanks Bob! ~ John & Catherine

This project for the lazy Susan cabinet replacement took about 1 hour and 20 minutes despite the fact that the manufacturer of the replacement parts stated that it should only take 15 minutes.   It was an extremely complicated process and the technician (Bob Brown) was able to realign the center bar to ensure proper rotation.   I tried to do this myself, for about 2 hours and was unable to fix the problem.   Installation of the kitchen faucet only took 30 minutes and his attention to detail was note worthy.  He even fixed a leak.  I would recommend JW Home Improvement for all home improvement projects.

Imade a last minuteappointment, but these guys were veryaccesible, I just needed to explain once and they caught my idea, and met myexpectations when they described what they were going to do for me.

They started to prepare the area close to the work area, coveringall before demolition (cover hardwood floors, paintings, furniture, etc.) toprevent dust in nearby areas. After that they started demolition phase in myBathroom, since the moment I signed a contract with them they werevery clear when explaining about the need of having a designated space for the debrisand trash generated through demolition, however they explained to me,that thisspace would also serve to store or place the new acquisitions to install (tub, toilet, tiles, etc.). After demolition phase (which was far more ordered than Iexpected) they started remodeling phase, plumbingand rough carpentry, electrical installation, insulation, drywall, tileinstallation (walls and shower), cabinet installation vanities and flooringinstallation, plumbing fixture hook ups, with toilet and tub installation, sinkand faucet too.

Only a few days were needed for miscellaneous issues, tasks and generalclean up, like for washing the floors, hanging light fixtures, putting upexhaust fans and hanging mirrors, bacame the final touches to my bathroomrenovation.

ALEXANDRIA CONSTRUCTION .INC satffwere fast and efficient, on time and the job looks
    very professional.

My bathroom dimensions are 5x6 ft.

They never showed. At around 3:30 I called them to see what happened. The person that answered the phone said there might have been a mix up and they would call back in a half an hour. I got a return call 40 minutes later and the man very politely said there was a mix up and our appointment was not put into the system and accepted that it was their fault. Unfortunately the next available appointment is not until next Wednesday on 10/26/16 so I have to take more time off of work to be here to get the work done. I will update this review when the work is actually done.
