    Geek Squad - Best Buy
During the repair of the hard drive, the techs broke the pin from the mother board that the optical drive plugged into. After 3 months of back and forth, sending the computer to the geek squad offices out of state, the branch began to consider to replace the computer for their mistake...until they realized how expensive the computer was (over $3,000.00) and then said they wanted to try and come up with a different solution. They ended up telling me that the cable was all that was needed to fix the problem. Fast forward a couple of years and I took my laptop to a different repair shop for a RAM problem where they uncovered the "real" repair that was done...Best Buy Geek Squad jammed a piece of wadded paper into the clip to force the cable to stay attached to the motherboard. When I took it back to confront them of what was discovered, the attitude was one that suggested I was dishonest about what happened and not caring about what they did. As if I should be happy with them solving the problem. NEVER GO TO THEM TO REPAIR A COMPUTER AGAIN!

    Geek Squad - Best Buy
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER Recently I brought my Dell Alienware M14x Laptop (custom configured from Dell) to a computer repair store when the computer would make loud beeping noise during the attempt to start up. It turns out that the noise being created was from bad RAM. While the computer was open (first time since my terrible experience with BestBuys Geek Squad) it was noted that the clip on the motherboard that the optical drive cable plugs into missing/damaged and instead, a wadded paper was jammed into the port to provide tension to keep the cable on the mother board. When I was told in 2015 that the optical drive was repaired by replacing the cable (and not the first excuse that the port was burned out on the mother board which was not true), I incorrectly assumed that fixed meant professionally repaired. I made that assumption due to the operating system being able to be loaded on to the computer after having the hard drive replaced and being able to use it once after bringing it home. This was bad enough, but things got worst upon speaking with your managers at the store! Ultimately the managers at the store were completely unhelpful as they kept indicating they weren't present when my computer was worked on the first time and offered no way to solve the problem except give me a sales pitch on buying a new computer. I went to the website where the only way to speak with someone is through their online blog with one of their social media specialist and not a store, area, regional manager...you get the point. Their basic view was that since I couldn't prove in writing that the computer repair (that is the paper) was performed by them, then they couldn't do anything. Even though there is plenty of documentation that the computer had to be sent off to the service center out of state to be looked at in order to determine what repair could be made to fix what THEY BROKE and the computer was returned to me broken with a note from the service center that there was no replacement part and no repair option. The local store hid what they did from me and never documented for the company that they even attempted a repair. When it was first discovered that they broke my computer, they started discussing replacement computer options...now they are saying that there isn't proof that they did anything. I guess their thought is try to sweep everything under the rug and if it can go undetected long enough, then they can skirt their liability? DO NOT TRUST THEM AND IF YOU HAVE A COMPUTER REPAIRED - CHECK WHAT THEY REALLY DID! Too bad I can't write more to elaborate what all actually happened. I did on their blog, but they removed everything because I mentioned legal action. Hiding something? I think so. Bunch of crooks in my opinion.

    geek@Your Service LLC
Derek replied to our late-night email early the next morning. He called at 9am to set up a time to come to the house and was on site early afternoon. He set up the wireless network, -- helped us sort out passwords, etc. and made the connections to get everything up and running again. He even helped us move a desk to get things set up the way we wanted. He assessed the reach of the wi-fi down into the basement and out to the garage. He was very professional and very patient. We are very happy for the work performed. If we need computer assistance in the future, we will be calling "geek@Your Service".

Gordan arrived right on time. He got everything working or removed including some malware and finished in under two hours. Have not had a lot of time to be on the computer but it seems to be running quicker. Please with service, very professional.

I never hesitate to call Gordon whenever I have a question or problem with my computer. I like it that he can solve most problems remotely, so that I can just go about my own business while he works to fix whatever is wrong with my computer. He is prompt and efficient, answering all of my questions and explaining everything to me. Since I had waited too long for a clean-up, it took him 2 hours to finish, but he would normally take half that time if clean-up is done every 6 months or so. My computer runs faster now and he even discovered that my "cloud" had been turned "off", so he was able to get that back up and running. I would recommend Gordon and Mobile PC Masters to anyone who needs help with computer troubles.

Microsoft Word would not open, and all attempts I made to repair the program through Microsoft methods online did not work. By working remotely on the pc, the tech tried several different fixes, and was able to get Word working again. Recent updates to the software appear to have caused the problem.

    Cameron Jones Computer Services
This is the second time we have used Cameron for this type of support. Last time was when we bought two new computers back in 2007 to have them replace old ones. This time too, all went very well.
Cameron reviewed with us the extensive list of problems with our current computers and agreed the old must go.  He moved all of our old files and documents to the new computers; ensured our wireless gateway between our home offices was working; set up the printers so we could print from any printer from our desktops; reset our security software and installed a few other items he felt would be useful to us.
As before, found Cameron friendly, professional and most of all, responsive.  He listened and provided the support we needed.

    Computer Geeks - VA

This is the second occasion that I've used this company's services.  In particular, Ryan Hitzeroth, the computer technician, was outstanding as he was the last time.  He arrived promptly, is always courteous and helpful, and is very, very knowledgeable and experienced at getting the issues resolved in a timely manner.

I cannot overstate my appreciation to Mr. Gordon King, who fixed my computer through remote access.  Even though the computer?s problem was much more complex than what I originally thought and took much longer to fix than the original time estimate based on my description, Mr. King continued to fit my computer into his schedule until the laptop ran flawlessly.malici
Furthermore, he did not require additional payment to cover what turned out to be his significant investment of effort.
I will definitely call on Mr. King for any other computer problems I may encounter, and I recommend his services without reservation.
