The 21,000 square foot Yappie Cuttery | Blooms Crossing Animal Hospital facility was designed for your pet's comfort and safety. Soothing music plays throughout all areas of the facility, and we have a climate controlled, micro-filtered environment with special non-skid flooring. Safety is peace of mind. We’ve installed above and below ground security fencing in our outdoor play area. Inside, we have security cameras in all areas of our facility, and in the event of a fire, our smoke damper system pulls smoke away from all pet areas. Our full service Yappie Cuttery services include pet grooming, doggie daycare, dog training, pet boarding as well as pet spa and swim opportunities. For professional veterinary care, Blooms Crossing Animal Hospital provides pet surgery and dental services, rehabilitation and therapy as well as holistic medicine. We offer boarding for dogs and cats. Dogs relax in sanitary, stainless steel kennels and are exercised in our indoor and outdoor play rooms. All dogs are exercised a minimum of three times a day for up to 30 minutes each. They are sure to be dog tired after a day of activity, and can rest on their own pet cot or fleece bedding. Cats relax in our peaceful cattery with a wooded view. All cats have their own litter box and multi-tier accommodations. They can bask in the sun, play with toys, romp in our cat play area or watch a movie. We assure you, they will be purrring with pleasure. We also have accommodations that cater to geriatric and special needs pets....

We've used them for a while. I was not really impressed with some things that they did. I waited over an hour for an appointment and ended up walking out.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE- EVER!!!! I adopted a young cat from Prince William County Animal Shelter on 3/22/2013 and had to have him neutered. As of today, 4/24/2014, I'm not 100% certain he was neutered. When I picked him up on 3/25/2013 I was told that he had a fatty deposit sticking out (as a result of the procedure) which would disappear upon healing. ?????? Granted, it's been over 20 y...

We rescued  a dog from the Prince William Animal Shelter, Woodbridge, Virginia and their contract is with Blooms Crossing Animal Hospital, Manassas, Virginia  for Spay and Neutering. A shelter mandate prior to adoption. We have a male dog. He had been a stray so his hair was severely matted . They were contracted to preform the neutering and we had an option for grooming service first. So had him groomed before surgery so he would be clean and fresh.  We did not know that they were not a professional grooming service but a training center for grooming.  Yappie Cuttery and Virginia School of Pet Grooming preformed the grooming. The shelter transports directly to the Blooms facility. We pick the dog up the same day and were shocked looking at his surgery.. He is now under the care of the Vet we use on a regular basis. We have had three dogs neutered before and never had a problem or have a dog so butchered by the inept surgery as well as the grooming . Our poor dog is on multiple meds, and was distressed. His surgical wounds are indescribable. May have to have the neuter procedure repair done AGAIN to remove the skin that is dead and dying. This is just animal cruelty!  We wonder if they had a student or tech doing the procedure. The dog had razor abrasions and a cut on the lower eye lid. The bad part for us is we have a great groomer and great vet but unfortunately did not know Blooms Crossing was so bad and we would have fought the VA law to have him groomed and neutered elsewhere. I gave the price an F since we are still paying to improve his health. If you are adopting a pet from Prince William Animal Shelter fight to have your own animal fixed at the Vet of your choice. Yes we have made both the shelter and Blooms aware of this situation. Have tried to contact the owner of Blooms on two occasions only to be told he is not in. Message left no response. Owner finally called back and we sent pictures of the surgery site but have not heard back.

Bloom's Crossing offers better than average prices for veterinarian services so I took my cat to there for a dental and some grooming on the morning of August 23. Admittedly she is a bit difficult to handle but I expected trained professionals to be able to perform the procedure without difficulty.
