    Lost A/C which probably isn't an emergency but regardless in hot weather it's a pain.  I called them at 7am and they said they could get someone out by 2pm.  Got a return call around 12 asking if it is OK to come early. I said "absolutely!"   The tech was amazing. I described the symptoms "outside unit running, not cooling, a faint buzz noise happens about every 30 seconds in outside unit."   He knew immediately what it was and just went straight to the outside unit to repair it.    My only beef, and why I gave them a B overall, is I paid with credit card and he wrote down my number and the security code on a multi-part form.  Copying down the CVV2 code from a credit card on paper like that is specifically against credit card PCI security rules.  My suggestion to the company is to modernize and equip your techs with portable terminals or even a SQUARE card app.
    So I highly recommend this company but think twice before paying with a credit card.

    Had a brand new AC unit installed by another company 5 years ago. I have been having issues for the last 2 but did not want to go back to the original company for cost savings. As it turns out, the part giving me issues was due to the improper installation of the unit. Thank goodness the unit was still under warranty for another month. Neal promptly called and got me the replacement part for free with NO HASSLES directly from the manufacturer. (this would have cost me around $2500 with labor)!! I would highly recommend this company. Neal and his crew were polite and courteous, VERY HONEST and trustworthy. My job even came in under the quote he provided me so I saved a ton of money by going to him. When I need additional service or need to purchase a new unit - he will be the person I call!!

    They did show up on time and they did the work professionally. However, they have not provided me with a written report or an invoice. This was a Deal, so I have already paid, but I would still like the invoice for written records and tax records. This is an rental property and they did not leave me, the owner, any information I've requested.

    Excellent company - excellent service.  The furnace in this old house needed to be preplaced.  This company was here every day on time for 3 days.  They came through with shinning colors.  Not only did they accomplish this hard task but they did it with flying colors. I would highly recommend this company and use them again in the future if need be.

    This is not the first time we've used Philco actually.  I've gotten quotes and work from Phil before.  In this very backwoods area of the country, Phil is a breath of fresh air.  He is modern - uses email and online invoicing! - and conducts himself very professionally.  No need for me to provide proof, just look at his string of reviews online.  Everyone that meets Phil will like him.  He's honest and he tends to care about your situation in a way few tradesmen exhibit anymore.  If he doesn't get the job, he's not combative or hostile.  He just says kind words and moves on.  Phil is the type of tradesmen you wish all of them were like.  Educated, professional, quality, caring.  I've been run through the gauntlet of bad tradesmen over the past year - we just completed a year long project of a 10,000 sq. ft. lodge - so maybe I'm just sensitive to it now more than ever.  Guys like Phil are about one in a hundred anymore.

    You might wonder why I'm leaving feedback if he did not, in fact, do any work. I've never left feedback on a contractor who didn't do work before, but I thought this time I should. This is a unique situation and I think other people in the area need to be warned. Long story short, Mark insisted that I put in four 5-ton zones, would not hear of any other options, made wild accusations that I was and quot;stealing details to use with someone elseand quot; and gave me a ludicrous price. Page County and the surrounding areas tends to have its share of rough personalities to deal with, but Mark's attitude really was unique. To even my smallest questions, he would get abrasive and start accusing me of taking his work to other trades. I asked about the physics of his zone design, since it was different than every other trade (and massively over sized), and again he refused to elaborate. The pricing was also outrageously high, not just noncompetitive but flat out absurd. The other 7 quotes were in the 35-40k range. His was 55k and he refused to elaborate. Again, I don't usually leave negative feedback on contractors, especially when they didn't do any work, but this guy was particularly frustrating. I did leave an 'A' rating for him in the punctuality and responsiveness columns - he did respond right away when called. Of course, every tradesmen on the planet responds quickly when doing quotes. It's after (or while) they're doing the work when you have problems reaching them. :-)

    I contacted this provider about an ongoing problem I had and suddenly the line went dead. I called back a few minutes later and the provider told me he could not hear me.  I hung up and called another number to see if there was a problem with my phone, and the person who answered could hear me just fine.  Very strange feeling that I have feeling like I was being toyed with by this provider in a time of great stress.  And of course I have not received a call back from this provider either.  I likely won't use them again.

    Update: He told me that my furnace is no good. I don't think he really looked at it and he is trying to sell me a central air conditioning system from Mitsubishi for $6,000. I also had him fix a plumbing problem in my upstairs bathroom that was causing a leak in my ceiling and now the ceiling is leaking in the very same spot he supposedly fixed. I definitely can't recommend them to anyone.

    We called Dave's Heating and Cooling when our furnace starting acting up. Naturally, the heater stopped working on a snowy day, so we called Dave and he sent someone out the same day. The technician, Bill, realized the problem was that the chamber inside the furnace was broken, so he cleaned it out, restarted the furnace, and ordered a new chamber for us. The new materials came in within a few days, and was installed. My husband is thoroughly interested in all things mechanical, and held the flashlight for for Bill the entire service call. The tech didn't mind my husband's company, which is a plus. Cost was appropriate; service was friendly, prompt, and well done.

    Mr. Hunsberger (Neil) and his assistant, Mike, made a service call on Friday, March 8, 2013.  They inspected my heating/air conditioning unit to search for causes for the recurring "freezing up" of the unit;, i.e.; actual ice forming on the indoor unit and  a complete shutdown of the heating system.  When I called Mr. Hunsberger, he explained to me that he thought the problem might have been the result of the reversing valve failure to operate properly.  As luck (or fate) may have it, everything was working properly when he came to inspect it.  He explained to me that  that it may or may not happen again, that I should keep a close watch on it each time I turn on the heat or air conditioning.  Since the actual replacement of the reversing valve would be quite extensive (and expensive), he thought that I should watch it for awhile and if the problem persists, he will come back and look at it again before suggesting actual  replacement of the valve.  Since I only use the heat pump as a back-up to my outdoor wood furnace in the winter months, I only have to rely on it for heat when I am going to be out of town and unable to maintain the outdoor wood furnace.
    Since there was no need  to repair or replace anything, he did not charge me for the service call.  Mr. Hunsberger  was very professional and thorough when explaining the problem to me.  I was very pleased with his courteous and professional manner.  I will definitely call him again when I have a problem and would recommend him to anyone who needs service to their heating/air conditioning unit.

    Dave is a very nice man. He always makes sure everything works right before he leaves. In the winter time, if the furnace does not work, he comes right away and gets it on for us. He gives estimates on things before we buy something from him. He is true to his quote; he does not charge more than what he quotes. He is very professional and very polite.
