    Rainbow Bridge Pet Svc
I highly recommend Rainbow Bridge Pet Services. They were so compassionate. The owner himself came to pick up our dogs who had to be put down at the same time. He and his assistant arrived right on time, and they were polite and quick, making a hard day just a little better for us. I was so grateful to find a local business that was so responsive to our needs!

    Rainbow Bridge Pet Svc
I am active with many animal rescues and transport groups as well with my own pet sitting company, therefore sadly I am faced with animals needing end of life services more than the average person and Rainbow Bridge has never let me down. You can talk with John the owner and look into the eyes of the person caring for your beloved pet. Not to mention he will personally pick up your pet at home or your vet's office. And he is usually more affordable and he guarantees a private cremation  (you get back only  your pet's ashes). Among the rescues groups I volunteer with, is a senior rescue, Rainbow Bridge has generously helped give elderly abandoned animals (in their sanctuary program) a dignified end of life experience. A heartfelt gift, appreciated by the foster parents who love these animals. Thanks Rainbow Bridge!

Carol & John, who are Rainbow Bridge, were the best. They picked up my cat, Gus, from the Vet. less than 1 hour after he was put to sleep. I received his ashes in the mail two days later in a beautiful wooden urn, along with a small bag of Gus's fur clippings, and a small vile of ashes. Also included was a copy of the Rainbow Bridge Poem, along with beautiful words of sympathy added. Carol & John obviously know what it means to lose a pet. My wife and I really appreciate their compassion and understanding. I highly recommend Rainbow Bridge.

We are extremely pleased with the services provided by Rainbow Bridge. Our family was absolutely devastated by the decline of our dear Cassie, and we could no longer watch her slip away from us as the cancer took its toll. My son had used Rainbow Pet Services a couple years ago, and I was very impressed with their kindness, professionalism and caring. I actually called them to set arrangements before making the final trip to the hospital with our girl. Carol was so comforting as she explained the process, and I sensed she truly understood and respected our heartbreak. She explained that John, the owner, would make the trip the next morning to get our girl, she would be cremated that afternoon and would be returned the following day. John arrived at our door with our girl's ashes, a pink ribbon around the box; he expressed such sympathy and empathy. Even through all the tears he spoke words of kindness and understanding. We could not have asked for a more wonderful experience. They even offer a paw print ornament for an additional fee, which we wanted. Please note that the price we paid does reflect this cost of $25.00. I found it especially comforting to know that our pet would be returned home quickly. The experience we had with John and Carol was wonderful, and I would highly recommend Rainbow. One of these days when the seasons change, Ill have to drive up to see the boarding facility. Thank you Rainbow for taking good care of us during this terribly difficult time.

    Blue Ridge Veternary Associates
I like that they hold extended hours for pet owners, they have regular veterinary hours up til eleven at nights which I think is outstanding and they are a twenty four hours veterinarian hospital which why we choose them as our vet because the hospital service are with the vet that's doing the regular service for my dog.

Friendly staff, their very good with explaining what's going on, Their very good about explaining what's gonna be needed  and what the steps are that they gonna have to go through to take care of the pet.

Same day pick-up of our wonderful dog and next day return back to our home. Same with our precious cat. Called them on-the-spot and they were at vets for pick-up in 10 minutes. If return of pets are important to you, Rainbow Bridge Pet Services is a must. Have already referred them to my neighbors.
No need to wait 1-2 weeks for return. Highly recommend during time of need.

    House Paws In-Home Veterinary Care
House Paws Animal Hospital, Lovettsville, just opened to the public today, and I took my little buddy, Tigger, in to have his right rear leg looked at (he has been favoring it).  Tigger was their very first patient at the new location in Lovettsville, and I was truly delighted how quickly he relaxed accepted the warm, friendly surroundings in the spotless examination room.  Dr. Leah R. Knode, V.M.D, has a truly relaxed and fun way with animals and I just loved how she explained in detail what she was looking for and some possible courses of treatment.  Her fees are more than reasonable and I could not have been more delighted.  Lovettsville truly needed a local animal hospital, so let's do all we can to support Dr. Knode in her new location.  She even does in-home care!!!

I love it. I use them a lot. They're exceptional that they should receive an "A". Every staff member is extraordinary. They give a lot of individual care to dogs with specific needs. They are well-run; I can't say enough well about them. They do a super job with caring for each dog as an individual because they have all baggage of some sort. My dog who had some obvious, I've been thrilled of how they cared for him. Having a place that you trust and clean should deserve an "A". I couldn't do it without them. There are times that my dog learned how to play with other dogs there. He really had a troubled past and he's a wonderful dog now and I have used a dog trainer that was associated with, she's not an employee but she does work out there and she's extraordinary too.

    Christy's Canines
I watched the owner (Christy Garrett) arrive and come in 10 mins early via in home surveillance. She took the dogs out and brought them back in as requested and then proceeded to go through our fridge, pantry, every cabinet in the kitchen stopping at the medicine cabinet and then proceeded to shove prescription medications down her bra. She admitted to stealing hydrocodone. She further admitted to being in every room in our house and had no business being in there. She was charged with a felony and misdemeanor by the Loudoun County Sherriffs department. The county has reported back that as of Aug 18 2013 she does not have a valid 2013 business license.

    Your Dog's Friend
We adopted Pixie from a wonderful, local rescue in June of 2011. From the beginning she has been a tough dog to work with. We were taking lots of classes: puppy, obedience, agility, flyball but none helped to specifically address the escalating behavior issues toward other dogs. Your Dog's Friend was recommended by the rescue from which we adopted Pixie and from a flyball teammate who had taken a reactive dog class with them. I did some research and I liked what I read so I signed Pixie up for the Reactive Dogs class last March. The class was 8 weeks of pure learning, taught by Michelle and Debra. The first two were without dogs. We were assigned our own, personal coach and in those two weeks of quiet and calm we learned key techniques for working with our reactive dogs. The entire class was like having a private lesson in a group setting, it was a wonderful learning environment. The class was structured for safety with every dog/owner/coach combo in their own private pod. The dogs were challenged but never over-faced. Each week built upon the last and the dogs learned how to better cope with challenging situations and the humans learned how to be observant and help their dogs. We were given detailed, informative and light-hearted handouts every week to remind us of what we learned and guide us through our homework. I could see a change in my dog from start to finish. Since taking the class I have continued to use the tools we learned to help Pixie on her journey and she is doing fantastic. Just this past weekend we attended a flyball tournament in WV. Pixie no longer barks in her crate, she no longer triggers crate barking from other dogs as we pass by and she no longer reacts toward other dogs with all of their frenzied flyball energy. We had an incident with a Jack Russell, it was totally my fault and Pixie handled it like a champ. We were walking back into the building and my attention got diverted from Pixie. She paused to sniff the JRT as we passed and he, in turn, growled, barked and lunged at her. Pixie just turned toward the front and started walking with me again, no reaction whatsoever...not even raised hackles along her back and that's her signature move! I am very proud of her and I am so grateful to YDF (Michelle, Debra and Jean - our coach) for the lessons and tools they gave us!
