    Door Doctor Inc
The technician arrived in the time window indicated and worked fast to fix the issues with both doors. He did a thorough inspection, adjusted doors, and completed repairs quickly. It could not have gone more smoothly. In addition, the technician was a real nice guy, so easy to talk to him and shoot the breeze while he worked. I felt like the service fee was fair and was exactly what I was told on the phone. No (nothing, zip, nada) up-selling or recommendations for unnecessary work to drive sales. Absolutely honest and did only what was required to make the doors work again. I will definitely hire again for any repairs or replacements.

Service went great. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and didn't try to upsell me. I knew that I needed new springs, which they suggested and sold to me. I needed a couple other things, but he suggested that it was a repair I could do myself rather than spend the $$ he would change.

Affordable Sheds & Garden Products LLC
I contracted with them with the barn, but then, they also had a subcontractor that did the building and everything else. Scheduling was a little problem afterwards. It was a little bit delayed. I think they could have been on-site better to oversee the project.

    Lauten Design & Construction
All in all the project was a complete success and realized the design perfectly. Problems were few and overall the job went smoothly. No project this big is completely without problems, but the measure of a great general contractor is responding to them and making them right. Lauten was extremely responsive and eager to do whatever it took to realize the design or accommodate minor redesign. The work went to schedule. Things went a little over budget in the bathroom tile setting phase with a few glitches, but Drew went out of his way to successfully make things right and adjusted billing. Our team was Lera of for the project specification and interior design, Drew, Brian and Lisa were our project managers. Lauten did the structural specification, Brian led the work effort and did the carpentry. Collier Plumbing and Trump's Electric rounded out the Lauten team. Frank Sams of Stone Age Masonry contracted with us separately to execute the exterior cement and custom stone work. We are 100% satisfied with our result and feel our design was realized better than we could have hoped. We recommend Lauten highly and without reservation.

    Perfect Pavements
Terrible. We had a number of issues during and after the installation. The job manager was supposed to consult with us before starting construction but did not. When we got home the work was not done in accordance with the plans. The sidewalk was 1-2 feet too long and extended into our driveway. We called the job manager that evening who complained about having to come back out to our house that evening to discuss the work. The plans were finally followed and the sidewalk and patio were installed. Not long after the installation was complete the grout between the stones began to crack and separate from the stones. We called them back to repair. They used a saw to cut out the grout, which then turned our natural stones into cut stones. We called to complain and spoke with the owner/manager. She came out to the site and told us she liked the work and was satisfied with her team's quality. We disagreed and told her so but we weren't getting anywhere with them and were ready for the whole ordeal to be over. The work was very poor quality and we've had issues with the sidewalk and patio ever since.

    Lauten Design & Construction
The project was to extend the main gable of our 26'-wide ranch house by 14'. The new space would bring the existing exterior chimney inside, and contain a completely new kitchen. The main floor and basement were extended together, and the basement was roughed-in to move an existing bathroom into a new small living space. The laundry room in the basement was also rebuilt to be finished and more spacious on it's existing footprint. This was our first big project and after a long search, we decided to engage Lauten.
The project was a complete success, our vision of the addition was realized 100%. Let me say right up front we were completely satisfied with Lauten and are currently engaging them  again on a new project to enlarge the master bedroom and emlarge and build a complete new master bath.
Let me talk realistically about what "complete success" means to us: Drew's Lauten crew, led by Mike V. including Jake and superb subs, was professional and extremely effective. On time every day, steady, often rapid progress, top quality workmanship and attention to even trivial details. Everyone involved, both Lauten crew and subs,  seemed to understand and care about our vision and its successful realization. In most aspects of the job we got down to detail in specifying materials and methods, our requirements were eagerly met in all cases. I won't say the project was completely problem-free, some of our requirements were unusual and difficult. But the glitches that did arise were dealt with creatively and in all cases successfully. In a minority of cases we saw the problems as Lauten responsibility, Drew stepped up and made equitable and prompt allowances to keep the project on schedule and ensuring that all our requirements were met 100%. On a job of this size, complexity and scope, with old, existing structure, and unusual structural requirements, to expect no mistakes is unrealistic. What we did expect and receive, was expert, skilled workmanship, agressive, prompt project execution and honest willingness to deal in 100% good faith and wind up with a completely successful project. In the end, we got that and more!

    American Exteriors & Masonry

The employees at American Exteriors & Masonry displayed exceptional customer service and concern for our satisfaction. The level of workmanship on this project was outstanding. Each day the quality assurance/customer service manager contacted us to discuss any concerns or issues we had with the workmanship. The project manager check with us frequently to assure our satisfaction with the job and was prompt to respond with a site visit at the end of the project to assure our total satisfaction. American Exteriors was not the least expensive contract quote we received; however, our experience with their employees and the very high quality of craftsmanship will lead us to use them again next year when we install a new front walkway. This company is a ?Class A? in the state of Virginia contractor and exhibits its high standards when operating on your property.

    Sixpenny Chimney Sweeps
The work took a few days and the repairmen were very professional, removing all broken brick everyday and securing tarps over the chimneys during off hours to ensure rain would not enter.  The brick work on the chimneys all match and one cannot tell they were repaired/rebuilt.  The office always responded to my questions and was willing to work with me on the schedule.

    D and H Paving
I spoke to D&H Paving more than a month ago and got a quote to replace our driveway.  Since that time, I have called them two or three times to see when they would be coming to do the work.  Every time I spoke with them, they said "next week".  They said they have a whole lot of work to do and would get to me when they could.  I feel that I was given a quote and a promise to come do the work and they should have done that before they scheduled more work.  I called them the week before last and told them that if it wasn't done this past week, I was going with someone else.  Again, I was promised "next week", which never happened.  Unfortunately, I feel like my business isn't important enough to them.  I am now searching for someone else to do the work.

The experience was good.  He is very professional but I think it was more expensive than it should have been and there was one error in the work. The quality of the work is good.  He was good but expensive.  I would use them for some things but I won't use them for others.  Yes, I will use them again if the job requires professionalism and responsiveness but I will not use them if it requires value for price
