    Dulles Chrysler Jeep Ram Dodge
I purchased an expensive Ram 3500 from Dulles Ram. The purchase experience was decent and my salesman was great (Ray Hartley), but the service department is simply unusable. I took the truck in for service twice and both times the experience was sub par.
First time I arrived with one of the TPM sensors throwing errors. Asked them to correct it under warranty. The tech didn't bother to replace the faulty sensor. He simply reset the indicator and sent me away. Very next day, the sensor threw an error again. I also noticed that they decreased tire pressure way below specifications on the DOT sticker on the door. Called and ended up in an argument with some junior wannabe mechanic who claimed I didn't know how to read the official DOT sticker. They don't even know how to service the truck they sold to me.
My second unfortunate experience was recall work. The dealership tried twice to correct recall R23 ORC module reprogramming and both times I had the ESC light on the dash and a message displayed that said, "Service Electronic Braking System". After the second visit, they simply reset the indicators and didn't bother to follow (Fiat Chrysler Automotive) FCA instructions for the recall. I called FCA recall center and they tried to talk to the dealer, but couldn't get through. It is laughable that the dealer won't even respond to the manufacturer's calls. What does that say about the consumer's chances of actually talking to the service department? FCA finally told me to go to a different dealer to have the issue corrected. The second dealer called and said Dulles hadn't even recorded the fact that the recalls were complete, so they have to recheck all recalls, including the failed R23 repair. And this is AFTER FCA got a huge fine from the DOT this summer due to their shoddy recall records and notifications to the public.
The truck has now been to dealerships 3 different times/days for what should have been simple recall repairs.
It is pretty bad when FCA sends a consumer to a different dealer to have recalls fixed. Think about that before you engage in any sort of relationship with this dealer. You have been warned.

The guy was really nice. The carwash machine was broken but he said to bring it back anytime and he’d give me the carwash and a tank of gas. I thought that was a nice offer. I’ve been pretty satisfied with them.

I had a horse show to get to that weekend and had realized that my inspection sticker was out of date. They were able to get me in and also found that the lights were not working properly so the trailer failed. Once I told them that I needed it for a horse show this weekend they stated, FAIRLY I might add, that they were not sure they could get to the repair today as it was not scheduled but that depending on how his last job would go he would give me a call. Jessie called as he said he would and told me that he could take a look at it and try and get it fixed. At 4:00 on a Friday he found out that it was the fuse in the truck not the trailer that was the problem. Most shops on a Friday in the afternoon would be looking to punch out. Jessie went above and beyond to help a procrastinator out in a fair way that many shops would not. There is a true honest shop out and it is Lovettsville BP Auto Center

They seemed knowledgeable but their communication was lacking and what was supposed to be a 3 days fix to a 5 days fix.  In the process of replacing the center they broke it.  It had gone bad but they physically broke the center that sits in the motor so they had fish it out.  That did not work so they had to something else and it is why it took longer and longer.  It took a repair that was supposed to be done one way; they were not able to do it the way it was supposed to be done which caused more problems for them and more problems for me.  I was expecting a phone call that this would take longer since I did not receive one, I called them and in most cases they would say that they were just about to call me.  I called them at the end of the day, but if there was an issue they would have called sometime during the course of the day.  I never did get any phone calls till I called them and they would tell me that it might be tomorrow or might be the next day so I used to play it by the ear waiting for the car to get done.  I scheduled ahead of time for it to be there, so they knew what the problems were, they knew what needed to be done and they told me when to bring it back so that they could order all the parts that they needed.  I brought it in on Sunday night so that they could begin the work on Monday and I expected that I would be picking to up on Tuesday.  On Tuesday they told me that I was not going to have it, to call back on Wednesday and on Wednesday they told me that they wanted me that I am not to have it and to come back on Friday.  I thought that I was going to have my car gone for 2 working days.   I don’t know if I will use them in the future nor do I have very many options either.

    Ted Britt Ford - Fairfax
I usually took my car in first thing in the morning when they open at 7am, and usually the work was completed within a hour, which I really appreciated. On occasion, I left with a rental, and picked car up after my workday. All work by Ted Britt Ford in Chantilly car park was professionally done and the customer service reps very helpful and friendly. No long wait times, and no delays in pick up and delivery of my car or the rentals.

My experience went well. The staff was professional and knowledgeable in their field. The pricing was a little high but I was pleased with the outcome of the service. I would recommend this company to others.

They are awesome. I can leave my car there with specific instructions, and they follow every word. Work is always done when promised. If it's something that's going to be much more expensive than I had thought, he always calls, explains, then asks whether I'd like the work done. Everyone there is totally professional and friendly. It's a real, old-school, small town, honest business.

I have had them do a variety of things.  I have always been satisfied with them. They do good work.  They are reasonable.  I never have to worry about them selling me work that I don't need.

On our way home from Dulles Airport, we hit a HUGE pot hole and about 10 miles down the road from that, had our front right tire go flat. We put on the doughnut tire and were ready to continue on home when we noticed the car now had a hard pull to the right and a large bumping that we thought might have been a cracked or broken axle. Very concerned, we called a tow truck and had them tow it to Lovettsville BP station. Since they were closed we left a note on the windshield and a message on their voice mail about the car. The next day I dropped the keys and asked them to inspect/diagnose the issue and provide a quote to fix. Later that same afternoon, the owner, Bruce, called to discuss the problem - a bent wheel rim, a hole in the tire and a chunk of rubber missing from our doughnut. They were willing to look for a used wheel rim (as opposed to just getting us a brand new one - at least 2x the cost of a used one). Two days later, they had replaced the wheel rim, patched the hole in the tire and our 9 year old car was ready to be picked up. They cautioned us against using the doughnut since they said it had a big chunk of rubber missing from it and recommended we purchase another for use in emergencies.
We have also used them before this for yearly car inspections and to fix the car when the A/C had gone out over this past summer.

They have great service. They are very polite. They will let you know if you can afford to wait on a certain service or if you need it done right away. They have a really nice drive-thru service area for consultation for different car services. They talk to you right away and it is very convenient.
