On time; great communications in terms of what their daily plan was, what challenges were coming up, response to my questions/concerns; excellent quality of work, very efficient and also friendly and responsible. In our initial consultation, we agreed it might be possible to simply replace a 3 yard square of ceiling plaster that was coming down, but might be necessary to do the whole thing. That turned out to be the case but the team was clear in showing me why their efforts to do the small piece were not working. Their work on taking the ceiling down and re-doing it was efficient and high quality. A great experience all around!- Mary M.

The work was extensive - they excavated and installed a new egress window, installed new lighting, switches, and outlets, built in a closet, installed and painted new drywall, installed new padding and carpet on the floor. I had a custom job converting an unfinished building to a small business commercial retail space. The owner, Rich, personally came out to look at my project and was a true advisor to me on what things I needed to consider to avoid future problems, save money, and achieve the visual outcome I was hoping for. I found the entire transaction highly honest and with the upmost integrity. I was truly inspired by the wealth and depth of knowledge displayed in the design phase of the project. The crew that came out to do the work was on time, cleaned up diligently every day, displayed a high level of professionalism and produced the highest quality end product I could have imagined. Every time there was a slight deviation in plan they walked me through the options and fully explained the best resolution – and most importantly kept me in budget without charging me extra – it was as if they were committed to me and this project rather than boosting revenue and profits – this was a breath of fresh air as compared to some of my previous experiences with other companies. My small business commercial retail space is now completely finished – Insulation, drywall, flooring, door and window installation, painting, trim and molding work and roofing – all brilliantly done. AMarks-Woods Construction Services, LLCMarks-Woods Construction just finished a multi-part project on our home including a full kitchen remodel, adding a full bath and storage area to our basement, a mudroom addition and a portico. The design process at the beginning helped to expand on our initial ideas and Danielle was great at offering suggestions that we never would have thought of. This step saved us time and helped us avoid regrets we would have had without having Danielle's expertise. Greg did a nice job working though the architectural details and permitting. Our project manager was Drew and he was great to work with throughout the entire process. We had an issue with our backslash and he worked with the supplier to replace it with something more in line with our expectations. Despite a variety of projects, we had a consistent crew with dependable, courteous workers who always created a great end product and kept work areas clean. Russell listened to everything I asked for and worked with me to accomplish what I wanted to get done in my budget (even my challenging ideas for custom barn doors). He was very responsive and flexible and his measurements were very precise which was very important for installing a kitchenette in our tiny space. The crew who installed were kind and hardworking and a joy to have in our home. Julio in particular went above and beyond to make sure that everything was to our liking. He paid attention to little details that I really appreciate now that the job is done. I have worked with several contractors on renovation projects on my home and I appreciated how responsive and fast Cyrus was and how lovely the end result was. ACyrus Construction LPI initially found Cyrus Construction here on Angie's List and I'm so glad I did. Russell was very prompt to reply to my inquiry and we quickly got moving on a proposal and planning of a base reconfiguration, master bath, and pantry remodel. Russell made planning the project, and working within our budget, easy from 1,000 miles away. Once we got moved to the area we got to know the crew well and they were always so professional, detail-oriented, and cleaned up every evening when they were finished for the day. I was particularly impressed with one of their tile workers who tiled our shower nonstop one day and did the most beautiful job! He's clearly an artist. Russell was always so easy to touch base with by email, text, or phone and he was frequently calling us to make sure things were going well and see if we had any questions. We elected to do some painting and demo ourselves, to save money, and Russell still managed to get us what we're wanting with the money we have to spend. We're so happy with our new master bath, pantry and basement that we're adding a contract to have our kitchen remodeled and new floors put down. AMy husband and I live in over 100 year old rowhome. The basement was unfinished and also riddled with asbestos and lead pipes. We decided to roll that remediation into a full basement remodel and chose to go with Barratt Construction to do so. I could not be happier with the experience, the work they did, or the final product! The estimate process was quick and clear. At every step, Peter & David were available immediately by text and phone if any questions or issues arose. The are honest, communicative, and cared deeply about the quality of the final construction. The workmen were skilled, courteous, and efficient. The project -- which involved remediation, excavating 8 inches to get a normal-height basement ceiling, & the interior construction of a family room, laundry room, bedroom, several large closets, and a closed storage area. Despite the huge scope of the project, they finished earlier than estimated. We will absolutely work with them again for any renovation!

FI called Basement Remodeling on the Angie's List number about 10 days ago to set up an appointment for an estimate and was told Greg would get back to me within 30 to 60 minutes. I didn't hear back. I then called four more times over the next few days only to be given essentially the same message--that he'd call me back promptly. When I expressed concern on my fourth and fifth calls about not hearing back, I was told my messages would be flagged as urgent. Still no response! I then decided to call the company directly rather than through the Angie's List number to find out why no one was contacting me. I explained the situation and was told my message would be passed on to the president of the company. This was last Friday (2/26) and I've yet to hear back from the president or from Greg.

AClick did a great job updating our kitchen and sunroom. Both rooms were last renovated in the 1970's and definitely needed some attention. Alan listened to our requests, made recommendations, and brought the whole thing together. My family left town for duration of the work and Alan did a good job communicating and sending pictures. Work was completed on schedule and within budget even with the unexpected things you find in an older home. Highly recommended.

AWhen seeking a design firm to remodel our large outdated kitchen, we searched for a company that would create a unique and dramatic outcome. The design was complicated and required sophisticated and experienced designers, engineers and procurement crews. MAC design listened to all our wish list items, incorporated almost all of them, but offered their own dramatic design inputs and ways to achieve our goals in more cost effective ways - they took our dreams and brought them to life. Many companies we spoke with said they could do anything we wanted. But from the beginning, MAC took the time and effort to develop the true feel for what we wanted, and then meshed that with their own design skills to create a contemporary AND practical kitchen - not simply executing whatever we thought might work or be interesting. We certainly were prepared to pay what it takes to achieve our goals, but MAC inserted reality into the process, often proposing solutions that saved us considerable sums in various areas. All members of the MAC team were dedicated to their tasks, often going the extra mile to get an aspect just right vs. adopting an easy, off the shelf solution. With their experience and contacts, they were even able to have custom items fabricated that were more cost effective than off the shelf. It was touches like these that took the project from nice to over the top and grand!

F"I had accepted Premier Home Improvement's quote but then they started to stop paying attention to me. I called the office multiple times to find out when they were starting the work and was told once that the project manager would contact me. After 3 other calls and voice mails I have yet to hear back from them. They were aware, or at least acknowledged I am on a schedule but have not returned any messages. The other issue is that they charged me almost $30 for the quote on work they have shown are not interested in doing. "
