    Prudent Homes
From inquiry to completion, Prudent Homes was great! David was extremely responsive and knowledgeable. He took time to understand our needs and current issues during the free estimate, and his recommended approach aligned with our needs and was much better than other companies that provided an estimate. They arrived when scheduled, setup their drop clothes and supplies, and got right work. The result was exactly what we discussed, and the additional insulation, new baffles, and air sealing have made a tremendous difference. Our upstairs remains comfortable, even as the humid, 90 degree days began.

I received a sales call from Adeliphia asking if I was interested in getting free estimates for home projects, as I had did business with them before. After some discussion and explanation, I agreed to free estimates for installing gutter guards and installation for my attic. The appointments were scheduled for the following week. The day before the appointments, I got a reminder call confirming the date and time. However, on the day of the appointment, no one showed up and no one called to provide an update. So approximately one hour after the scheduled appointment time, I called the office and left a msg. I was later informed that there was a mix up with scheduling. Had I not called them, I would not have known this and would have continue waiting for someone to show up.. To date, no one called me to reschedule or extend an apologize. Absolutely no consideration for my time and that I took 3 1/2 hrs off from work for two appointments.

The gentleman who came was very professional. He was very good at answering questions. He put down paper to keep from making a mess. He explained everything that he was going to do and how long it was going to take him to do it. He got to work and took care of business.

We purchased a deal for $500 of blown insulation for $149. We were not aware that Adelphia will not just blow in $500 of insulation. They will only do a full attic insulation with a minimum of 6 inches of insulation. When your attic is over 1,200 square feet this turns the $149 deal into a lot larger price. The deal was clearly a "bait and switch". Now I must work with Angie's list to try to get the $149 back.

    Jim the Handyman
In April 2014 we had a lot of water damage in our basement that resulted in the removal of the bottom quarter of two wall in our basement  as well as the the insulation, baseboard and carpeting.  Although we had the source fixed (crack in the wall), we had been waiting for a couple of big rains before we repaired the damage to make sure the fix was done correctly.
This summer, we contacted three (3) companies for estimates and chose Jim the Handyman.  Not only was he lowest, but the first review I read was for the exact work I wanted completed.  Kelly came out for the estimate based on my availability, which is kind of unusual, and was professional and courteous.  Scheduling the work was a breeze as well.
On the day of the job, Luke arrived first with the tools and to get a paint sample for the walls.  While he was gone, Kelly arrived with the supplies and set up in our garage.  Once both were on site, the work commenced immediately, efficiently and completely to my satisfaction.  The work was completed in ONE DAY and it looks like we NEVER had any water damage.  In fact, the work was done so well, it is better than the undamaged work in our basement.  Kelly and Luke did a FANTASTIC job from beginning to end.  Not only was it like the damage never took place, you could not even tell that they were here to do the work.  They completely cleaned up in the basement and in the garage.
We were so impressed that we will be bringing them back to do other work in our house very soon!

Overpriced. Overpromised. Poor communication. I could have hired a handyman and gotten a better job and for less money. Replacement boards were not fitted flush and an attempt was made to cover the problems with a lot of caulk. At the time I booked the job I told the rep that the work was not to be painted as I had already hired a painting company to paint all trim on the house. I returned home to find that - at the rep's orders - the crew had painted over wet, unsanded caulk with random paint off their truck. The bay window was a globby mess.  When I complained both the scheduler and rep gave excuses about being distracted by personal problems. They sent two workmen back out to sand, but although the guys were very nice they had only a rotary sander with them and not a finishing sander and so could not sand the project smooth. I finally just told them to leave it.  I'll have to hire someone else to fix the bay window issues before we paint. Chalking this up to experience.

    Quality Insulation
Everything went as planned. Dan and his son Rob were great to work with. I would highly recommend them for any insulation services you may need. There price was the best of the companies we spoke with, and Rob couldn't have been nicer on the day of service. He explained everything in detail, made sure the job was completed to my satisfaction, and cleaned up like they had never been there before. Great experience with Dan and Rob and his crew.

I don't like the idea that one person came into evaluate and another person came to do the insulation. They did not leave any invoice or statement. I received a bill one month later for $904 it is not very descriptive and it does not indicate that I purchased the Big Deal. It was unsatisfactory, very unprofessional. They may have efficiently done the job but they were inefficient about the paperwork following up.

    USA Home Construction
We called several roofing companies when we had water stains on the ceiling after a rain storm. Nathan was the only one who came to the house the same day. He identified the problem, which had more to do with the flashing and siding than the roof. He gave us a reasonable estimate on the repair and partial replacement of siding. We were impressed with his professionalism and honesty and decided to let them replace the siding and add insulation on the entire house. They did a great job from start to finish. The siding crew was hard working, putting in long hours, and doing very good work. We noticed the attention to detail and their pride in doing it right. The job took 6 days, and each day they cleaned up meticulously. The painter who came out for the ceiling was very careful to cover all the furniture and did a very good job as well. I will definitely call on USA Homes Construction again in the future and will recommend them at every opportunity.

    USA Insulation
Good experience from start to finish.  Not sure if we could have gotten a better price, but it seemed reasonable and we did not want to spend the time to get other quotes.  The work was done in less than a week and took just a couple of hours.  The technicians were very conscientious, professional, and cleaned up after themselves.  The work looked very good with good quality material.  I have no complaints whatsoever and am glad I used this company.
