    Armitage Painting
    William Armitage of Armitage Painting is unreliable, dishonest and does very poor work. We hired him in June of 2015 to paint the exterior of our home. He said it would take about 3 weeks. He agreed to provide all the materials and to use premium quality Benjamin Moore paint, and asked for a 50% deposit. For the next two months there were multiple excuses, delays, and broken promises to come to work. His average workweek was about 3-4 hours a day, 2-3 days a week. He purchased some Benjamin Moore paint, then switched to a different brand of low quality, contractor?s grade paint, which later crackled and turned to powder, and had to be scraped and repainted. By September, the job was substantially incomplete, and I hired a new painter to complete the job. The exterior windows, two doors, much of the trim molding, all the door jambs, and the bottom of the foundation walls were untouched; multiple areas had not been caulked or prepped; many areas had only been single-coated; and no cleanup had been done. We later found some areas in which he had painted over cobwebs. It took over 120 hours of labor for the new painter to complete the job.

    Armitage Painting
    William Armitage had done a small interior paint job for me in the past, and had done a good job. So that is why I chose him to paint the entire interior of my house after a fire that created a lot of smoke damage throughout the house.  Before Armitage started the paint job, every inch of the walls and ceilings were professionally sponged to remove as much of the smoke as possible.  Armitage then followed up with Kilz, a substance that seals into the walls and ceilings any remaining soot.  William Armitage was a month late in starting the job.  He had constant excuses that ran the gamut from bad weather, to he was backed up with other jobs, to his current client would not allow him to paint on the weekends, to he had to see to his children.  Final inspection and walk-through was done in late January at a time of day when light was low, so the mistakes did not come to light until the house could be seen in the full light of day.  Below is a listing of everything else that went wrong:
    1.   He told me that he would move everything out of the closets, which he did not do.  I had to move it all myself into my garage. He did help with a few heavy boxes that were in one of the bedrooms that I was using for a storage room.  When I complained to him that he was a month late in starting the paint job, he told me that's because I had not moved everything out of the closets and the storage bedroom. Of course, he had already given me four other excuses for why he was a month late.  
    2.   He got kilz all over the bathtubs, shower stall, and wood floors, and did not remove it.  It is a clear substance, and very hard to remove.  The tubs cannot be used for bathing, so we can shower only, as the Kilz does wear off over time.  It would be dangerous to have that chemical going into the bathwater and then being absorbed into the skin.   It is taking me hours to remove it myself using a steam cleaner, which seems to be the only thing that works.
    3.   He got paint on the bottom of his shoes, and walked all over the master bathroom floor, which has a pebbled surface.  He did not clean that up.  It is slowing coming up each time I steam clean the bathroom floor.
    4.   He caulked the master bathroom shower, and put the new caulk over the old, dirty and moldy caulk, which shows through the new caulk.  The new caulk is now bubbling up and coming loose.
    5.   He promised to spray paint the ceilings and closet interiors, and roller paint two coats on the walls.  He partially spray painted the walls, and roller painted some of them.  He left very obvious lines where he stopped using the roller and started using the sprayer.  His sprayer was obviously malfunctioning as some of the walls have paint globs all over them.  They need to be sanded and repainted.
    6.   He failed to paint the interior of the closets, and the skylight wells.  The walls of the skylight wells are now a different shade of white than the ceiling.  The skylight wells are still in need of painting.  He failed to paint one lower wall in the master bathroom and failed to paint the baseboard in the hall bath.      
    7.   He left paint on some of the windows.
    8.   He used eggshell paint to touch up flat paint, and he used flat paint to touch up eggshell paint.
    9.   He failed to caulk a few places that had dents or small holes, and just painted over them.
    10. He said to give him a punch list and he would correct all deficiencies.  The punch list was provided in mid-February.  This is April 16, and he has had constant excuses for not returning to finish the job, and do the cleanup work.  I have given up all hope that he will do so.
    11.  He was asked to leave some paint for touchup.  The house was painted in three separate custom colors.  He left paint for only two of the colors.  The majority of the house was painted in one color, and that is the color he did not leave paint for, and where most of the mistakes were made.  I have no way of knowing where he had that custom color mixed, so cannot go purchase the custom color myself.

    The original contact was fairly quick. Made appt for Sat 10/19 at 2pm. I had an unexpected schedule change and had to reschedule. I called all the numbers and even emailed to let them know I could not make the appt and left all my contact numbers. I did not want them to travel out to the house and us not be there so I gave as much notice as possible. They did get the message, but only called the house number so we did not get their message until late Sat night. I left message with Josh cell on Sunday to reschedule. He called back and we agreed to Tuesday at 445 and he said it would take about an hour to do the estimate. I left work early to get there. 445 came and went. Around 530 I called cell and left message to confirm he was coming. He called back saying he was delayed by earlier appt and he was on his way. He showed up at 645, with almost no light left to look at gutters or anything else. He did give a fair estimate for the repair of the gutters to fix the bad slope of some that weren't draining but did not have time to give estimate on anything else. We arranged for him to come back on Friday of same week at the same appt time of 445 to do the work and give estimate on remaining items. Friday came and I left work early again to be there. He never showed and never called. I left a message at around 6pm and he never called back. While here, he mentioned that the earlier appt on Tues was for 30k estimate and he couldn't leave such a high dollar job estimate. I definitely understand that, but it felt like my repairs were "not worthy" and he just left me hanging because it wasn't for a whole lot of money. It would have been for a lot more if he had come and seen what else we needed him to do. Unfortunately, this has made me not want to ever call back. There was no sense of urgency or desire to help. They must not need the business. I now have to start all over to find someone to give an estimate and do the work. Very frustrating. I don't have all day to wait around and never be called to say he is late or not coming. If you are having an issue, be professional and call the client. I had other things I could have accomplished instead of waiting around for over 3 hours for a no show.

    I recently bought a new house and needed to have the back yard fenced in as soon after closing as possible. I have 2 dogs and I foster puppies for a rescue group, so it was imperative that the fence be escape-proof. I called Triple K, and Corey was able to meet me at the house 5 days before I went to closing to give me an estimate, and the install date was scheduled for the following week. A couple of days before installation, I had to change the original boundaries of the fence and Corey was very accommodating and communicated that message to the on-site supervisor. The morning of the installation, there was a severe thunderstorm and, as I was waiting for the phone call to let me know the fencers would not be coming, there was a knock at the door -- the fencers were there and ready to go to work, in spite of the fact that it was still raining. The on-site supervisor walked the boundaries with me to make sure he understood where the fence line would go, and they got to work. They finished the entire yard in about 5 hours, and left the yard clean and free of any fencing waste.
    I was very impressed with Triple K's work; however, I was a little uncomfortable with the size of the gaps between the fence and the gates. I did call Corey to express my concern and I am confident that he will take care of it.

    Well, it started out as a simple tile replacement job around my master bathroom tub, and ended up being the whole master bath remodel, the second bath on the upper level tile floorsome work in the basement, new replacement windows, and then to top it off, we had storm damage on our roof and he (Phillip Gentry) co-ordinate with my insurance company and got my entire roof replaced and all I had to pay was my deductable!!!
    I was/am amazed at how much I was able to get done, the OUTSTANDING QUALITY of their workmanship, communication throughout the entire process, and professionalism, all for a very reasonable price compared to some of the bigger companies that came out and tried to use high pressure sales tactics with me that NOBODY likes to deal with. Phillip owns and runs the company and does all the designing and estimating in person, and he KNOWS just about everything there is to know about all facets of construction. If you have a job that needs to be done , ROOFING, REPLACEMENT WINDOWS, SIDING, DECKS, KITCHENS OR BATHS, then I would definitely let TCB/Replacement Services have a chance at it. I am very particular with my home, and I felt very comfortable and confident from the very 1st consultation(which was free) all the way through to the very end.
    In short, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!!!!!
