    Gregory Cox DDS
During 2013 and 2014 I had 3 crowns, 1 bridge and 1 dental implant. One evening I had an appointment to discuss a problem with the dentist but the dental assistant Kristin would not let me see the dentist but brushed me off saying it didn't appear to be a problem. She seemed to be the cover girl for Gregory Cox who had very poor communication skills. When I asked a question he always grunted that he didn't know. He always got defensive when asked about something not feling right. Kristin, his assistant, wanted questions filtered through her before seeing the dentist. I thought I paid good money and I wanted to speak to the dentist. Then he would come into the room behind you to work on you. He stood there while Kristin ground  down some teeth. He gave her way too much authority in my opinion, The bottom line is that I have had to replace all of the crowns and the bridge by another dentist. The bridge was all bumpy and sharp. The crowns were not fitting right. One was way oversized. And the implant put in on June of 2013 was so painful that I had to have it removed. Wasted thousands of dollars and my time coming to Dr. Cox. His website was so attractive that I came to him for good products and service but got nothing but misery and lost thousands of dollars. He is arrogant and uncaring man.I will never go there again and advising everyone I know to not see him.

The staff, including the dentist, are very thorough in explaining step by step what is going on. Questions are answered patiently and in detail. There is no rushing to the next patient, and you feel that the focus is totally on you as a patient. For problems identified, time is taken to explain options and consequences. In the case of one person, several referrals were given for specialists to do follow up work. In addition, there is an equally thorough discussion of what is needed to most effectively maintain the individual's situation between routine check ups.

He is very good.  Somebody up in New York did my surgery but he seems to be keeping good tabs on it and seems to be professional.  I have not had him do any periodontal work, that happened in New York but he is just keeping an on it.  But his dental hygienist who cleans your teeth does a wonderful job.  They have never backed up, they are always on time.  They do not take insurance payments but they will sign all the paper work for you and give you paper work to send to your insurance company but they don’t do it themselves.  You pay the bill.   I have been using them for three years and they are Board certified periodontist.

They are a fantastic organization. From the time that I called, the receptionist was polite, cheery, and very responsive. They made an appointment for me the very next day. Getting in was professional, polite, and very efficient. The doctor is a little quirky but excellent. I have had teeth extracted before but it has never gone this smoothly. I had been checking around and the price was fantastic. I had quotes for over $1200 and he did it for $450. He did not require a referral. He looked at the X-Rays and made a decision on whether he would deal with it from there.

e I have been really happy with my new dentist and his staff. Mary is the hygienist who cleans your teeth. She's good at what she does and is also a doll . Dr. Sherwin was obviously very knowledgeable and although I did not have anything like a filling, he struck me as kind and gentle. I was concerned that care down here would not be as good as I was accustomed to in the D.C. area. I was wrong on this count. I have had many nightguards over the years, and the one from Dr. Sherwin is far and away the best. Not to mention that the nightguard he made for me in 2011 cost less than half of what I paid for inferior nightguards in the D.C. area.

I returned for another cleaning in July 2012 to find that Mary no longer works at this office. She has been replaced by an amazing dental hygienist named Bettina. Not only did she do a great job cleaning my teeth, she also proved to be the most knowledgeable dental assistant I have ever met. I felt as though I was talking to a dentist rather than a hygienist.

The staff works well together; all in all, a very pleasant place to get services that too many people dread.
