    Howard's Haven Inc
It went poorly. Howard made promises to get the work that he didn't follow thru on. The patio had to be completely redone because the work product was so poor. A project that should have taken 2 weeks took 6 weeks and even at that would have gone longer had I not given an ultimatum. Day after day his guys would arrive and do nothing awaiting Howard's arrival. Routinely that didn't happen until 2 - 3pm. Once a majority of the payment was made I was no longer a priority. He left my yard in such poor shape that my wife at one point was in tears. We are left with a patio that has below average craftsmanship, A yard that is going to cost a lot of money and time to repair, and are still finding all the residual damage. Like the dryer vent that was broken when the outer part was pulled off by Howard. Let me be even more detailed, he never called miss utility, didn't properly measure so none of the dimensions from the initial drawing were met. He and his team dropped and broke my $1700 gazebo requiring a replacement. Which he covered and tried to tout as a big favor he did me by paying for what he broke. Speaking of the gazebo, the area of the patio designed to have the gazebo wasn't built large enough. I had to manage the work myself, they forgot to run the drain line, forgot to run the electric, left uneven spots in the patio. Everyday I had to come home from work and work my second job managing this project. I hope by now you realize you shouldn't hire this company. He told me how much experience he had and that his business is 90% referrals. I don't see how that's possible. This was a terrible experience and we spent A LOT of money. We wanted to be excited about our new backyard and instead we ended up with a nightmare.

    BLUE SKY LANDSCAPING
We recently hired Blue Sky Landscaping to aerate our lawn for autumn and put down a layer of lime & compost. Overall, the project concluded well and we will hire them again. This is especially true because they have proven that the company upholds a high standard of customer satisfaction. We originally used Angie's List to solicit bids from 3-4 highly ranked yard experts. Blue Sky responded within 24 hours with a reasonable quote. I signed the contract and returned via email. Connie replied that Blue Sky would contact me "a few" days before their arrival. A week or so later, my wife called me at work asking why a group men were in front of our house unloading their aeration machines. She was about to start her own workday and didn't have time to monitor the work. I immediately called Connie at the Blue Sky office asking whether her team was at my house, and if so, why didn't I receive any notification? Connie admitted that it was her field team and apologized for not providing proper notification. Later that day, I returned home from work and immediately walked the yard to inspect the aeration. The compost and lime were noticeable and spread evenly. But as I walked the yard, I struggled to find aeration plugs (the cylinder of soil that is pulled out by the aerator). At first, I wondered if the Blue Sky forgot to aerate... but after finding a few plugs in the side yard, I decided that the aeration just didn't work out very well. It may have been that the ground was too wet. I called Kate at the Blue Sky office to discuss the situation and she immediately jumped into action. She rescheduled her team for another aeration attempt on the day & time of my choosing. The field team arrived on schedule and had much better success the 2nd time! The yard looks great and will be healthier for the coming year.

    Benitez Landscape & Design
I worked with Saul who was very responsive (a rarity for sure) and he and his crew were able to complete the job ahead of time, again something that is very unusual. My past experiences with contractors is that they are poor at estimating when they will be able to start the job resulting in the job being done later than promised. The quality of the work was first rate, and they were able to complete the job in one day, which is crazy given the amount of work they had to do.

HEMAX Construction Services & Landscaping LLC
This is the second year we have had HEMAX prepare our flower beds for the growing season. All plant beds were weeded and all debris was removed. Bed edges were cut to a 2 depth. Beds were de-mulched where necessary for proper mulch management. Corrective pruning, shaping, and dead wooding of plant material was performed, and apre-emergent weed control was applied where it was deemed appropriate. Double-shredded hardwood mulch was installed to maintain 2 inches mulch coverage of the beds. The crew arrived on time and cleaned up before they left leaving no evidence of their work other than beautifully prepared flower beds. We'll bring HEMAX back again next year.

Epling Landscaping And Lawn Service Inc
We've been using Epling for their mowing/lawn care service for the past 2 years and have been very pleased with their work. We wanted to 'fix' the butterfly garden area that had been decimated by deer. Stacie came up with some great ideas for plants and the layout of the new garden. The landscaping team that came to do the work did an amazing job and were very efficient. We're very happy with the results and can't wait for spring to see our new garden area.

    LAWN MONSTER LAWN,LANDSCAPING&TREE SERVICES
I wouldnt recommend Justins services to anyone. Pros : - Reasonably priced Cons : - Does not return calls or texts - Does not show up to do the work that he has committed to doing - The lawn work he chooses to do is less than average - Has an I do not care attitude when I confronted him regarding the issues I had with his service. I mentioned that I was going to write a Yelp review and let Angies list know of his behavior. His response was do what you got to do man. - If you are a woman he wont even return your calls. He ignored my wife to the point where I had to step in and communicate to get him to return calls. My wife requested that he do weed removal and spray something that would keep away the ticks. She had this conversation with him in early May. I had to call him in early June to remind him of his commitment. He told us at least four times that he was going to come out and never did. One of his text messages actually said, my guys didnt feel like working today. - As a consequence of his unwillingness to do what he said he was going to my dogs are bringing ticks into the house and my HOA property manager is telling me that I have violated the rules of keeping my property clean. I explained all of this to Justin and he couldnt have cared less. I believe Justin would be a much better employee working for someone else than attempting to run his own business. If you are interested in using a professional and committed service look elsewhere.

    Lawn Doctor
Lawn Doctor advertises on Angie's List as "yard work", but this is actually handled by a partner company Diamond Cutters. Diamond Cutters, after leaving us hanging for a month, finally comes back and says they are at full capacity, and can't take any more work orders. ???

    Diamond Cutters
I have no issues directly with Lawn Doctor, only with the company which they partner with for normal lawn care such as weeding and mulching, etc. That company is Diamond Cutters. I first contacted them about one month ago, and still have not been able to have my estimate. I received a voice mail and tried to return the phone call multiple times.
