    Rob did a great job in professional design and install of a new entertainment center in our new home. He paid a lot of attention to detail and made some recommendations that made the final product a showpiece. Everyone who has seen it has reacted with the same "wow" look. It really enhances the room. He recommended using the same color paint to match the baseboards and trim. At first I was thinking of a contrasting color but we are very glad he recommended otherwise.. Rob takes the time to work through the fine details because he wants to meet or exceed your expectations.He has certainly done that in this project. He carefully designed each section of the entertainment center to properly accommodate what we wanted to display. I am actually thinking of what I would like for him to quote in other rooms. I think he is capable of designing and building many other home solutions.

    They just delivered it. Right now, I'd have to give them an A. They delivered it on time and it looks good. They discovered that the main water shut off valve doesn't work. They were very knowledgeable, very professional. We weren't expecting them to repair it, because it wasn't their problem. How quickly they responded, was all we expected of them. The Best buy installers did a great job of responding to the situation.

    After 6 repair visits, at which they either misdiagnosed the problem, brought the wrong parts, or both (and each of which required either my husband or me to take time off from work), they finally decided they couldn't fix the problem. Rather than working with GE to get the issue resolved, they gave us a generic 800 number at GE to call and left us to fend for ourselves.  I am stunned that after such a large purchase they would so completely fail to stand behind their products.  Do not buy from them if you have any expectation of after-sale service or don't want to replace your appliances after 1 year if there are any issues.

    I have had this microwave wall oven unit for over three years and it has been nothing but trouble. It is a Whirlpool. Everything from broken latch to a burned-out control board have gone wrong. Each and every time there is an issue with it you have to wait two weeks to have someone come look at it then it takes at least 3 to 4 weeks to ship whatever part and if you are lucky they get the right part. Usually it is the wrong part and you have to wait another 3 to 4 weeks. This is simply unacceptable and ridiculous to be without a vital kitchen appliance for a few months. Offer no apologies and have incompetent workers. I would never recommend them to anyone. The sales guys at the store do a great job selling but it is after you get it home that all the trouble begins. Do not buy from them!

    I couldn'tt be happier with Blake and my whole experience at ABW. Blake recommended appliances which I am completely satisfied with. After I recived the quote, I went online to read reviews of the appliances he recommended. All positive. And I could not find a lower price anywhere! And I am the queen of finding the best deal! I've had to call for service for a few very minor things, and the response has bee very positive. Very polite staff, clean, responsive, and efficient. I highly recommend ABW to anyone who is replacing appliances. My experience has been 100% positive.

    We inherited a wooden table with two beautiful wood patterns separated by an intricate design.  It had been stripped, but had never been refinished.  We found Antiques & Furniture Restoration on Angie's List and took advantage of a coupon offer.  We brought the table in on a Saturday and the owner explained that he would strip it again to remove any dirt that had accumulated over time.  He would then bring us back to choose the color stain we would like him to use.  We came back the following Tuesday and he explained that the table had a walnut veneer, and then he applied samples of two different walnut stains, which made it easy for us to choose.  He stained the table with our choice and then used a satin finish to complete the work.  We picked up the table the following Saturday.  The table looks gorgeous.  The wood grains and intricate detail stand out.  We have since noticed details in the table that we had never noticed before.  We are extremely pleased and will bring any future restoration work to Antiques & Furniture Restoration.

    Assisted in selecting the product; delivered the ice-maker when promised and showed up promptly when it was time to install it.  Servicemen were very knowledgeable, answered a number of questions, tested the product to make sure it was working properly before they left (including no water leaks), and cleaned up the area by removing an old unit that was being replaced. A good experience from initial meeting to final installation of product!

    I purchased an in-ground basketball hoop that I wanted to have professionally installed. I searched Angie's List and found AnyAssembly.  I was very encouraged by the overall great reviews and contacted them.  Their initial response was prompt and very helpful as they provided lots of background information on basketball hoop installations.
     In their introductory email they said "contact us if you have any additional questions"- which I did...but no responses to the 3 emails I sent.  I finally called and spoke to Aziz.   I won't comment on the tone and professionalism of the phone conversations because at the end of the day- I don't really care about "warm and fuzzies"... just that my hoop would be professionally installed.  On my 2nd phone call to Aziz. I asked to lock in a time and date for my installation and he said between 4-6 on Saturday, 4/25/15.  Because he never asked to confirm my address on either call, I sent an email with my information and asked that he respond back to this 4th email- to ensure I wouldn't be waiting and wasting 2-3 hours of my day because he didn't show up.  He actually did respond to that email confirming Saturday, April 25th between 4-6 p.m. Because heavy rain was in the forecast,  I even called Saturday morning (4/25/15) to determine if they work in the rain and Aziz said "We'll be there...we'll call you 30 minutes prior to arrival". 
    Well...not only did I not get a phone call- they never showed up!  2.5 hours out of my day gone...wasted and now my boys are upset because I have to start from the beginning looking for a professional installer (potentially another 2 weeks delayed).  I am surprised at the cavalier attitude towards providing service given the number of positive reviews here on Angie's List.  This is actually the first time I've EVER had a service provider from Angie's List not live up to the excellent reviews/ratings associated with the company.

    Their designer, Shabree, was wonderful to work with.  However, she is only available certain days of the week, making it necessary to take time off work.  If other customers spend more money, you are definitely moved down the list of priority, no matter when you started.  In trying to extend our island counter top, it took weeks to come up with a design.  First it was to add legs, then it was to add bevels (at over $600 each - needing 4 of them!!).  Finally, on a THIRD visit, I met with a different "engineer", who came up with an idea of adding a metal plate under the counter - no need for legs or bevels.  His comment?  I don't know why they didn't suggest this before - we just did this in another house a couple of months ago.  ugh.  The contractor used for the tiling/backsplash was wonderful and did great work.  Not only did we do the backsplash, but also added the stonework around our entire island.  It looks great.  We did end up with a small crack in the granite near the sink, but it does look so much better.  The price was over budget in the end, more here for labor, more there.  In the end, I love my kitchen.  However, we started the process in January and didn't finish the planning until the end of march and start work until April - when I threatened to cancel if they didn't book the work.
