On time; great communications in terms of what their daily plan was, what challenges were coming up, response to my questions/concerns; excellent quality of work, very efficient and also friendly and responsible. In our initial consultation, we agreed it might be possible to simply replace a 3 yard square of ceiling plaster that was coming down, but might be necessary to do the whole thing. That turned out to be the case but the team was clear in showing me why their efforts to do the small piece were not working. Their work on taking the ceiling down and re-doing it was efficient and high quality. A great experience all around!- Mary M.

AJW Home ImprovementWe had a wide range of tasks that needed to be done around our house, and we saved a lot of time and money by having JW do all of them, rather than hiring multiple separate firms. Kevin and Soren did an excellent job -- they did quality work, worked efficiently, and and were good to communicate with. Jesse did an excellent job helping us define the scope of our project and identify what needed to be done (and what didn't need to be done). Kevin even made a couple extra trips to complete some electrical work that proved to be more complex than we anticipated. The work was extensive - they excavated and installed a new egress window, installed new lighting, switches, and outlets, built in a closet, installed and painted new drywall, installed new padding and carpet on the floor. AJW Home ImprovementJosh came to provide an appraisal and he quickly understood what needed to be done and provided a solution. Jose came out quickly and widened the opening so we could get our furnace serviced and our heat turned on. Jose returned and within 4 hours had the electrical outlet moved, new framing complete and painted, floor tile replaced, and new doors installed. I am very impressed with the service provided by JW and will contact them again for any needed repairs.- Debbie W.

AAll three jobs went very well. Technician was fully competent, had all supplies needed, and worked expeditiously. He explained all aspects of the work, responding to my questions promptly and politely. Clean up was complete. As the meter box had to be replaced, Beacon Electric arranged for Dominion Power to turn of and then back on the power feed from the street. The also arranged for the County Inspection to be carried out.

FI scheduled this company but they never showed. The lead estimator then lied and said that he had called and "went onsite but had no luck." Integrity and honesty is a big deal for me; the fact that someone is lying for such pettiness should say enough and reflect poorly on this company. I don't know about the quality of their work, but based on this anecdotal evidence, I'm glad they weren't hired.

FAfter being a good customer for 30yrs needed work and was blown off for 2 days they had 2 guys working directly across the street from me and could not provide service. they where very busy . They have gotten gotten to big to care about long time customers and the money I spent on water heaters and a/c and heating units. Called Arlington A/C and they will have someone out in the morning.
