    Worth Moving
We were thrilled with the service provided. Matt gave us a good quote. His business is family owned, licensed and insured (which you should always look for in movers.) The movers were very professional, on time, hard working , polite.. They didn't hesitate to ask a question or offer a solution to something. They did a great job from loading the truck to unloading at our new house. Driver even called to tell us he was 15 mins, away, so we knew to expect him. None of the furiiture arrived scratched, dented or broken and they checked. The move went quickly without any incident. Would definitely recommend using Worth Moving.

    Mover Dudes Inc
We had a relatively small move from Keswick to Alexandria to be followed up by a bigger move in six weeks. From the beginning I was impressed by their responsiveness and professionalism. One of the things I particularly liked was that they were able to give me a detailed estimate just by my filling out an online form listing what we were moving. The moving consultant was very responsive and knowledgeable. When the two men showed up to pack and load, they were very knowledgeable, intelligent and courteous. They thoroughly protected our goods, and quickly got them on the truck. Moving is a pain under the best of circumstances, but these dudes took the pain out of it. They did such a good job, I intend to hire them for the big move coming up.

    Noonan's Handyman & Landscape Design
I needed to remove some old PVC drainage pipes and install over 100' of new PVC drainage from my gutter downspouts.  The new PVC needed a new trench.  Joe dug most of the trench using a power trencher which he rented for the day.  Parts of the trenching required digging by hand through hard clay soil hitting several tree roots that needed to be removed ... in the rain.  In the end, the project exceeded my expectations.
I have been using Joe's services for 10+ years.  I now don't even think of calling anyone else for my handyman services. I would highly recommend Noonan's Handyman Services.

    ONE STEP MOVING COMPANY, LLC
I cannot say enough about the friendly and
professional service provided by Angela and her crew.  This was a difficult move, for a number of reasons, and I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience.  Angela was very responsive, even on a Sunday that was her son's first birthday.  She agreed to meet me earlier than the scheduled time on the day of the move so that I could make sure she understood what we wanted and did not want to be moved, and was patient with my folks when they got the dates of the move mixed up.  Angela and her crew were also willing to move things back OUT of the cottage and return them to the Glenmore house when my folks realized they did not have room for everything.  Lastly, Angela agreed to move my folks washer and dryer out of their house, to my house, and dispose of my old washer and dryer!  The stress relief of having someone smile while they do all this work for you was just amazing. Thanks Again Angela and Crew!!!

All My Son Moving & Storage

The worst experience 'ever' in a move.

Four men arrived in a truck that had no tailgate ramp and no lift mechanism on it. One guy literally dropped (let go) of a case of very expensive wine, instead of bending over to put it down on the floor. Rare port and French wine were smashed (about $500 to replace). He did the same thing later that day with a case of fine Spode brand of Christmas chinaware. We haven't opened that yet, but expect there to be some casualties. Our furniture was abused and so were our appliances! I could go on and on, but suffice to say "they were our biggest mistake" and hopefully others will benefit from this report.

    Oz Moving & Storage
Gentlemen showed up to do his review for an estimate on time. He was thorough and efficient however his estimate was $3000 over any other I had received. When I seemed upset by the amount, he later emailed me a price that was $2500 lower. So if I would have taken the first price, I would have been seriously taken. Buyer beware!

    Armstrong Relocation Co
It was the worst moving experience I've ever had. I've never had a more disappointing experience. I ended up with thousands and thousands dollars worth of damage to my furniture and antiques. They damaged irreplaceable art work. They couldn't fit all the belongings in the truck, so they left it behind for me to transport myself. They didn't have me properly scheduled. My overall experience with them was poor. I will not use their services in the future.

    Town & Country Movers Inc
It went very well overall. We are not completely unpacked but so far, we have found two broken bakeware pieces and the sustain pedal on our grand piano appears to be stuck. We plan to contact them for resolution of these and any other issues that may arise.

I would highly recommend this company. They were easy to work with, punctual and there were no hidden charges that popped up at any time.

A certain amount of breakage is unavoidable and so far, it is minimal. Our heirloom china is in perfect condition!

    Noonan's Handyman & Landscape Design
He is an outstanding workman. He actually has a lot of experience and he told us what we needed even before we realized we needed it. He showed me areas in my house that needed attention immediately or in the future. Along with his expertise he is an incredibly kind man. He understood about scheduling around our needs. He handled things that I didn't even know I needed handled. He accepted deliveries and I didn't expect him to do that and he did. He is an incredibly good person. The price was outstanding; it was a good price for what he delivered.

    Cavalier Home Inspection
Inspected home to be purchased. Spent only 90 minutes at the property, a good deal of which was not spent productively. Cavalier Home Inspection failed to properly inspect or describe windows, doors, plumbing, hvac, electrical, and kitchen appliances. Inspector said that windows were in good shape and "don't be in a hurry to replace" them. In fact, many are broken and must be replaced. He failed to note the lack of electrical outlets and phone jacks. The home has a new heat pump, but the installation was sloppy and needs upgrading to perform well. The inspector did not comment on hvac except to note that the attic mounted heat pump's overflow pan drain was positioned over the living room ceiling and that it should be extended to the outside of the house. Subsequently, tradesmen have pointed out that doing that hides the problem if the heat pump malfunctions. The water pressure in the kitchen is terrible but the inspector's report doesn't mention it. If anyone uses water anywhere in the house, the sound resonates throughout the house. Again, this was not mentioned in the report. The house's insulation needs to be improved to meet current standards. Again the report didn't mention it. The telephone wiring is daisy chained, which means a problem anywhere in the line brings down all service after the problem point. The report didn't mention it. The inspector failed to inspect the attic from a screen porch access. I asked him to do so and found that a roof truss member had been removed to make way for the heat pump unit but the truss had not been repaired. The inspector failed to inspect the water pressure tank saying only that tanks come in larger sizes. The existing tank is old and doesn't hold pressure as it should and must be replaced. The inspector described how the interior doors were manufactured but did not mention that they are undesirable, cheap, hollow core doors. I have employed two home inspectors. One was a knowledgable, hard working guy; unfortunately, he left the area long ago, so I employed Cavalier Home Inspection based on their web ad. Although he provided a professional looking, hardbound report, in my experience, Cavalier Home Inspection seemed less than knowledgable, less than hard working, and failed to provide the service that I needed.
