    I called them for low freon, not knowing anything about hvac units, the tech arrived, told me it was probably an indoor coil, tells me it costs 2500...checked the coil and said it was ok. He never mentioned that there was an outdoor coil that could also leak, nor did he check it. Went outside for a few minutes, told me the schrader valve was leaking, gave me pricing for freon and said he would fix and fill her up, but he couldn't guarantee that the valve was the only leak. I assumed the tech had done his job and checked all of the usual suspects for a leak, like the outdoor coil. The tech never did a complete inspection of my unit, charged me $600 for freon that lasted 1 day, the unit was no longer working the next day. This company wanted another $1500, to find out where the leak was, on a 16 year old unit, after they had already ripped me off for $600!! Since then, I have received quotes ranging from $100-$500 (including refilling the freon) for finding a leak....This company's home office "stands behind" their tech and will not refund my money! I was taken advantage of....buyer beware!!!

    Scott C. arrived squarely within the service window, and was polite and very knowledgeable. Our central air had been non-functional since last summer, and with his expertise, we were able to determine that the system was cutting out due to a pressure problem. We cleaned the intakes and resolved the pressure issue, then he checked the freon, and found that (a) it was a little low, and (b) that there was a small leak, which he also repaired. Now the system is running smoothly again, even better than before. And on top of the great service, Scott helped us by bringing a Dominion Power rebate program to our attention, which will end up paying for everything but the cost of the freon refill. I could not have asked for a better experience. If you need HVAC help, AirRight Inc are the ones you want to call.

    Our heat was not working. (Another provider-family friend, BAD PLAN- had told us we needed a part for our emergency panels, unplugged them, and promptly went to Florida for the past 2 months. We didn't know he was going out of town. We tried to wait it out, but with the stretch of extremely cold weather coming, we broke down and called) Anyway, the tech, Robert, ascertained quickly that there was nothing wrong with the panels. The problem was the thermostat. He replaced it quickly, checked to make sure everything was working properly, and was done! Addressing the concern we had with our panels coming on too frequently in the past, he encouraged us to "just give us a call" if we didn't feel like the thermostat fixed the problem. Again, he did check the panel function before he departed, and determined they were functioning appropriately.


    Our appointment was originally set for between 10am and 1pm. At 9am, we received a call from the Hungerford Dispatcher, asking if we would like the tech to come on ahead. Since we both have to work, we were delighted to be given this option.


    I could not be more satisfied. From the initial phone call on 2/12/15 to the departure of the tech, Hungerford was professional and friendly. Highly recommend!

    My furnace is about 40 years old and he had to take it apart to clean it all out. He put a new burner in and he patched up the sides that had been deteriorating. The work he did was excellent and my experience was fabulous. My furnace hasn’t needed cleaned in two or three years because he did such a wonderful job.
