  • SolarTyme did a fantastic job from the time the sales person came out to the completion when the Vice President of the company called to ensure we were happy. SolarTyme makes sure that not only do you get the solar panels installed but they make your home more energy efficient by putting in superior insulation in the attic, upgrading your thermostats if necessary and making the A/C units much more efficient. We also needed help with the HOA and Tim L. made the drive to one of our meetings to assist me in explaining to the HOA board all the benefits, which resulted in rule changes so anyone who wanted Solar could get the panels on their homes. While his is a mid range investment on your home, we are already seeing the benefits!

  • After they gave us a price for a new air conditioner, we decided to get a second opinion. The next company came out and looked at the problem and said that 2 wires had been disconnected. They reconnected them and fixed another problem. We don't feel this company was honest with us and we think that they disconnected the wires so that we would have to buy a new compressor.

  • Service tech arrived and began troubleshooting problem. He located the problem very quickly and after some discussions with the service tech and the main branch I was not charged for this service call because of the service contract I have with the company. The service tech spent just over 3.5 hours checking everything with the system to ensure everything was operating the way it should. When he was finished, he made sure he cleaned whatever mess he had made and explained everything he did in detail. I truly love this company.

  • I contacted PHA first thing Saturday morning because we noticed our air conditioning quit blowing cold air. They dispatched a service tech that afternoon who came out and took a brief look at our unit outside and the air handler in the attic. He tested the system and stated we probably had a small leak. However, in order to troubleshoot the system their company does a pressure check of the whole system so it would have to shut it down for 2 days. Other companies use a leak detection tester which based on some reports may not find "all" the leaks. Since the temp was supposed to be over 95 for the next week we decided we would wait until it cooled off and would get them back out. So he serviced the system with "freon" and we were back in business. Unfortunately, it only lasted a couple days. We called PHA back and they were unable to get a tech out until the next day. With the temp pushing 100 we couldn't wait so we called a different company. My only complaint is that the tech didn't even remove the cover on the air handler. Had that been done, he would have seen the coil was bad.

  • We got back from vacation mid afternoon on Monday and discovered our air conditioning stopped working. I contacted Kearney and Sons and they said they could have someone at our house at between noon and two on Tuesday to troubleshoot the problem. At 1230 the tech showed up and within 30 minutes discovered we had three leaks in our air conditioning coil. Unfortunately it couldn't be repaired so the coil would need to be replaced. He mentioned that normal lead time was about 3 days to get the part but the service department would be the better one to provide actual lead time. So he wrote up the bill for this visit which was the cheapest out of the 3 companies we contacted.Total for the day was $285.00. In about two hours we received a call saying they located a part and can be out Thursday at noon to install. I called the company Thursday morning at 0900 to confirm the time and they said everything was on track and they would be at our house at noon. At 1230 we had no tech so I called and they explained the tech had to go to Chesapeake VA to pick up the part but should be at our house at 1pm. At 120 I called them back because still no tech. They said he was about 20 minutes out based on his location and apologized for the delay. At 145 tech showed up and began working. He wrapped everything up at about 5pm and we were back in business with air conditioning. Even though they were 90 minutes late of the install date, I would recommend this company. The staff was very friendly and very honest in their price quotes.
