    T. J. came out to our home to pump the septic tank. He answered all my questions about keeping the septic system working well. He really listened and offered information and advice about kitchen/bathroom/ laundry cleaning products. He also inspected the tank and made a repair too. I will hire RooterMan again.

    I called at 8 in the morning and the office manager said she hoped they could get someone to our house between 10 and 1 that day. At 1:00 I called as I hadn't heard from them and she said they would definitely be there, but everyone was out on calls. By the time 5:00 rolled around, I figured I wouldn't see anyone but around 6 pm a truck pulled up and JB came it to check out the problem. He said we definitely needed a new water heater (which we expected), quoted the price (which I think was reasonable, never having had to replace a water heater before) and got to work. He stayed until almost 9 p.m. and finished the job, and now we have hot water again. Plus he was very nice and professional - I felt bad he had to stay so late, but really appreciated that he came that same day!

    We connected with Solutions Mechanical through Rinnai, the tankless water heater company. Solutions Mechanical is a local certified installer for the Rinnai units. Since meeting with the employees we've had nothing but good experiences getting competitive quotes, friendly service, and quality work. Since having the Rinnai tankless gas water heater installed we have also purchased two replacement HVAC units; a gas furnace for downstairs and an electric heat pump for our upstairs. With both projects, Solutions Mechanical handled every aspect of the job, and answered all of our questions before we committed. Employees acquired, delivered, and installed every part with no issue. In each case, we knew beforehand what major changes were going to need to be made beyond just "install it." We knew electricity was going to need to be run to a new location, that a vent would need to be installed through our wall, that the gas line would need to be modified and expanded. We greatly appreciated knowing all of this before any work started. Because of such a great experience we expect to call them back for many home improvement projects that we have planned for the future. Obviously we highly recommend them!

    JES Foundation Repair
    Awful. The quality of products is fine, however the labor and service provided was dreadful. After initial install, water was coming up through the floor where the perimeter system was installed near the main sewage line out of the house. JES returned, dug up the spot, and repaired it. The following morning everything in my house was overflowing. Had to call an emergency plumber to come. Turns out, JES filled my main sewage line with concrete and rock, blocking any outgoing water or waste (how/why they thought this was a good idea, I'll never know. They don't have an explanation). The emergency plumber had to replace six feet of main sewage line. JES returned for the third trip and made the repair to the perimeter system, again. After final completion, my basement was left a mess with the floor covered in concete remnants and dust. I had to mop the floor myself at least a half dozen times before it was close to being clean. I paid for skilled labor and received half ass labor, at best. JES discounted me 17% and paid for the emergency plumber, which is still high way robbery. It took them two months to negotiate that price with me, at which point I had just had enough and caved to paying. I'm sure that's part of their strategy as well. Drag it out until you're sick of it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Lost wages having to stay home from work, lost time, damage to my basement from flooding and overflowing pipes, etc. Find someone else!!!

    Culligan Water Conditioning of Front Royal VA
    The tech claimed it could not be replaced and we had to replace the whole unit, which was done at great expense and in a sloppy fashion. I later found out that the original bulb could indeed have been replaced. When I raised the issue, the owner/operator was extremely unprofessional and totally uninterested in making the situation right.

    Michael's Plumbing in my opinion is very unethical. They keep sending me bills for a service already paid for, adding finance charges and "truck charges" as the months have dragged on. I have mailed them a copy of the cancelled check, faxed and now certified mail, but they never apply the check to the balance and keep billing me. I have offered to meet face to face and left messages with their service to try to resolve this but they have not called me back. I have filed complaints with the BBB, American Home Shield, Attorney Generals Office and contacted the Harrisonburg Civil department for further action.

    Blue Mountain Plumbing Heating & Cooling

    We have a very complicated heating and cooling system which is able to use either the heat pump or natural gas for heating (hybrid heat).  The system also has multiple zones with separate thermostats for each zone.  When we turned on the heat a couple weeks ago, I noticed only the gas heat was working and then a couple days later all the thermostats went blank.  Since then we have had three HVAC companies out to our house.  The first company (a very well known and highly rated Harrisonburg HVAC company) that installed the system.  After three separate attempts to fix the problem and each time waking up to a cold house in the morning, we thought it was time for a second opinion.  The second company was completely overwhelmed by the complication of our system and finally bowed out (without charging us) after two hours of looking over our system.  Blue Mountain was the third company and they finally got it fixed.  There were two simple but separate problems.  The sensor which controls the switching of the heat types had somehow gone bad over the summer and was improperly bringing on the gas heat when the heat pump should be working.  When the gas furnace was operating, the water produced by the furnace operation was backing up into the furnace and shutting the entire system down which made the thermostats go blank.  Blue Mountain identified and corrected both problems on their first visit and we have not had a problem since.  As a bonus, they showed us our thermostats were wi-fi compatible and helped us get them set up on the internet so we can now monitor and control the system from our phones.  We are very happy with the service from Blue Mountain and would hire them again in the future.
