    Ronnie Mitchell And Son
AMAZING!! I HIGHLY recommend Ronnie Mitchell & Sons! From the moment we met Ron, he had great ideas and I KNEW he was not going to sell me on work I did not need. In fact, being new to the lake, he helped guide me on what was really important and also helped me meet the needs of my family. Ron was so responsive, always on time for appointments and his staff... well they are the TOP staff ever!! I would use Ronnie Mitchell & Sons again and highly recommend you hire them as well. So very happy with the project. Worth every dime.

    Dollman Construction, Inc
We found Jimmy Dollman's company on Angie's list and we selected his company based on the outstanding reviews he had received in the past and the fact that he is a class A, licensed and insured contractor.  We aren't risk takers and wanted to make sure that the company we selected was reputable, skilled in the disciplines we needed to complete the job and easy to work with.  Jimmy came out to the site and walked over all of the projects we wanted done.  He had some great ideas on how to take care of an awkward downstairs guestroom to be used by our grandsons.  Although the room was large we were having trouble getting the storage solutions we wanted and 2 twin beds in the room.  His idea was to open up an area beneath a staircase that allowed us to tuck a bed and nightstand in to the space.  In the family room he and the interior designer he brought with him, Paula Smith Linkhous, came up with the idea of reorienting the family room to a different wall which would feature a new stone fireplace and built in bookshelves and media area.  It was a leap of faith for me and we are so glad we did it.
Upstairs Jimmy came up with an entirely new layout for our master bathroom and our tiny master closet which gave us an additional 3 feet of closet space, a new vessel tub for me and new corner shower for my husband.  We decided to reuse the existing vanity but have it painted to coordinate. The new guest bathroom is handicapped accessible, yet looks like a picture out of a magazine.  In fact, everything he and his crew did is very high end.  I'm still shocked when I walk downstairs and see the work they did.  Everything they did is really gorgeous and exceeded our expectations.
The initial bid was a little higher than we wanted to spend and Jimmy was very patient about working through what we wanted to achieve and where we could economize and where we really needed to go higher end like using premium materials for our downstairs flooring and fireplace but using porcelain rather than stone in the bathrooms.  He came out often to check on the job and we talked about once a week.  He's very funny, easy to deal with and what we especially like is that he really is on top of everything.  We had very few issues and those that came up were dealt with immediately without any fuss.  The job site was cleaned and vacuumed every night, which was great for us, since we stayed in the house while all of the work was done.
His crew,  project manager and subs were all top notch.  Everything is all about the customer and what is going to work and look the best.  As the installation progressed his team came up with some great design ideas, like lowering the shower floor in our guest bath to provide wheelchair access without having to build up a ramp and realigning some of our lighting to give the best effect.  It didn't change the cost, but really enhanced the outcome.  We especially loved working with Paula Smith Linkous, the interior designer Jimmy brought in, to help us out with layout ideas, tile, finishes and colors.  We probably worked with Rob and Gerry Horne the most and we would really like to have them just move in with us.  We hate to see them go.  They are extremely skilled, personable and yes, they are great with dogs.  While they didn't walk them they actually made friends with our three extremely shy rescue dogs.
What we learned from this experience is that you get what you pay for.  If you want a company you can trust to deliver the very best product based on your budget in a very low stress way then you really can't go wrong with Dollman Construction.  Today is the last day of our project and it was delivered on time and on budget.  We have a list of future projects that we would like to work with them on and I guess that says it all.

    DAB ENTERPRISES, INC.
Three workers arrived at 8am on the day of the job.  They worked CONTINUOUSLY until after 7pm.  I took before and after pictures, which I may share (on request), but cannot presently post here as they are stored on another computer.
They towed in a steel tracked Excavator ("bucket and claw") on a flatbed truck, brought chain saws, a trailer and a "dump truck"
One of them, Isaac Bowman, operated the excavator.  His skills in doing that WERE LITERALLY AMAZING.
One of them, Daniel Bowman, planned the course of action so as to avoid leaving excavator tracks on my lawn as much as possible and used a chain saw to strip the limbs and branches from each fallen tree.
Another, Titus Bowman, guided the excavator to the fallen trees, gathered debris, and he and Daniel operated 16 Ton "DUMP TRUCK" that carried off the fallen debris.
They made 6 trips, estimated 8 Tons per trip, and on the last trip ALSO towed away a trailer with more than a dozen 12 foot trunks of 14 to 20 inch diameter, mostly oak, some pine and locust.
The upturned root balls from four of these fallen trees were more than 10 feet wide and 6 feet tall.  No signs remained when the job was done.  IN FACT, while the locations of the fallen trees were identifiable, that was only possible from the raw earth filling the holes where their root balls had been removed, shaken clean of top soil, and carried off.
When the job was done, there were unavoidable scars on my land where the trees had uprooted, BUT ONLY very minimal signs of the use of the Excavator, and NO DAMAGE from its metal track to my gravel drive or my lawn.  All the torn up holes were filled with dirt, tamped down.  ALL OF THE DEBRIS was removed.
This work deserves a FIVE STAR RATING.
