Would hire again. Employees inspected attic/AC unit and duct work. It was determined that the problem we were having was not due to clogged up duct work, but that the actual AC unit was not working and needed a part replaced! Instead of taking the opportunity to try and get a free pay check they were honest and informed us what they thought the actual problem was. We will definitely be hiring again in the future if we need work done.

Airight Duct Cleaning and Dryer Vent Cleaning
No work was done. When he got here they arrived without their truck which didn't bode well. Dana and one assistant arrived on time and inspected the house and said we had various problems with our ducts including mold throughout, and they had never been cleaned. One they said couldn't be cleaned because it was "rusted through". And even thoughI could not see daylight; they said insulation prevented that. Even then, I felt they could go forward. I just felt throughout this process they didn't want to do this job? For reference: The house was built In the 80's and we bought it in 2010. We had rented out the house for two years and came back To severe respiratory problems we thought was from severe damage to the house's flooring from the tenants' pets and kids. We have never missed an HVAC appointment on our house. It is inspected and cleaned twice yearly, by we have never had the ducts cleaned. I advised him we had asthmatics and really needed this done to make this house liveable. He refused to do even a Partial job calling that " 1/2 measures " not understanding 1/2 done would be better than nothing for us. Also, Having been quoted $495, he then advised us we had mold throughout our system which was RARE and not only would we have to leave our house, it would take all day to treat and clean and be significantly more expensive. No price was quoted. I would have heard him out had he given me one. Again, He didn't appear to want to clean the ducts in my house. At that point, I felt they needed to leave. My time was wasted in this process. What they found: They found a rusted through duct, that may have had "poop" in it from renters. His employee lifted out Some mass of stuff which looked rusty. This wasn't a pleasant inspection. He wanted me to look in all the vents myself, which I refused to do because I am allergic. That's why I hired him. In the end, he confirmed the ducts were in fact very dirty. Having just now read through these glowing comments, I can see most everyone had mold, so in fact his findings are not that rare! Also, I advised him as he was leaving that we should have been advised of the potential for a much higher price and the potential need for us to leave for the day so we could have made arrangements on a hot day with young children and animals. Where are going to go? The only good part: we didn't spend any money, but he wasted my time!

Atlantic Oceans Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning
Their person came out very late and he did a good job on cleaning the air vent, but the carpeting and the tile cleaning was not satisfactory at all and I call them back to give him that feedback and he didn't want to hear it. The cost ended up being more than I thought it would be. If you take whatever they charge for carpet and tile cleaning, air vent mostly three pluses service I don't recall it right now am I actually not at home. I think the price was correct, but the quality of the service wasn't. When I call to complaint about the quality of the service the guy would not return my phone call and I called him three to four times. I would not use them again.

    Air Duct Care
I was drawn to this company for a couple of reasons: price and the fact that it is a female-owned company. When I called and left a message, my call was immediately returned and arrangements were made to clean my air ducts and dryer vent. I had never had it done before and, like many homeowners, dislike paying for something you can't see.  More on that in a bit.  An appointment was set in a very timely manner and the workmen arrived on time.  They answered all of my questions about my AC unit and duct work and spent a good bit of time in the attic with me answering questions and advising me.  This service was likely not a part of the work they were hired to do but the advice was free and given willingly from a young gentleman who knew a great deal about AC/heating units.   I thought my dryer vent cleaning would be problematic as it runs all the way across a room before it vents to the outside.  No problem for these guys.  They removed all the vents and cleaned them very thoroughly (thought I was going to be doing that but NO).  As one workmen cleaned the AC ducts the other cleaned the dryer vent and all the AC vent covers.  He also cleaned the coils on the outside unit at no extra cost.  He said it would help cool the house more quickly.  It DID! Now for the "paying for things you can't see".  It's been a little over a month since I had this work done and there is definitely something I don't see much of...DUST.  It's amazing how little dust I have compared to before the cleaning.
I highly recommend getting this work done and getting it done by the folks at Air Duct Care.

    Stokley's Services Inc
They did an excellent job!  They were polite, punctual, professional, informative, and knowledgable.  Everything you look for when you seek professional services.  Their primary concern was that I was happy with the results of the service and that I understood the information that they provided.  (They had suggestions for settings in my duct work and showed me how to manipulate baffles to get find the best air mix for my particular comfort.)

Called to schedule and his voicemail was full, so I could not leave a message. It took a week to hear back from him. At that time I scheduled an appointment for a week later. He then he did not show and did not call for that appointment.

Around the Clock Chimney and Roofing
I hired them to tune up my fireplace. They were fine, they were good. They came out after we did the service agreement two weeks after I bought the big deal. They cleaned out the firebox. It cost $99. The service was good, I would call them again. They were on time. The workers were very courteous.

    Michael & Son Services Norfolk
my father in law recommended Micheal and sons from previous work they did on his house. I called his contact Stephen McNally and he had a specialist call back with in the hour to schedule. he was on time for the appointment and very courteous. he lloked over the whole unit and gave me 6 different quotes based on what I was thinking about doing. the only issue we ran into was he had forgot to check the electric box to verify I had enough amps. even though this happened he was able to work with us. after we had decided on what course of action, the techs where at the door in two days. if it wasn't for the horrible weather, work would have been done the same day with a full system install, but they took my advice and called it a night when the snow got bad. the techs were great and professional. I would recommend them specifically to friends. the electrician, even though very friendly, was not the best I would give him specifically a b+ but he did good.

Tech was on time and pleasant, explained everything he was going to do and did a great job.  Just a note of caution -- the smell of the sanitizing is strong, stays for a few days, and wreaked havoc with my sinuses.  Not THEIR fault -- but be aware of it.

I'm glad we did this - we had just replaced an HVAC unit and it had never been done.  We will use them again when its time to do it again.

It went fine.  I wasn't sure if they would have a rotating brush or just a big vacuum hose.   They just had the vacuum hose without the brush.  I'm not sure which is better.  He "up sold" me on some chemical spray to apply to help going forward.  I'm not sure if that stuff will really work or not.  It did make the house smell for a few weeks afterwards.
