    DNA Pro Cleaning & Restoration
I highly recommend this company. During the 4 days needed to complete the project, by different staff members, I found all of them very professional, courteous, knowledgable and well trained. This was the 2nd time that the same basement got flooded and it was a night and day diference between this company and the previous one I had hired. They knew exactly how to get started and in an organized and well planned approach. After finishing the work, the removal of waste and damaged goods was properly disposed off without leaving any small trash or waste anywhere. This is a good company, that is focused on customer satisfaction through good work

    HomeKey Inspections, LLC
Excel Inspections is simply outstanding. Starting with Jenn, she was exceptionally courteous and very prompt and proactive in making appointments and keeping things on track. The inspectors invited me to join them during the inspection. We spent the entire afternoon going through the house three times. They were about as thorough as it gets. They also provided me with comments on how things work and what I should do during various events (like an alarm going off, a water leak, etc.). This was above and beyond normal service. The report was very long and detailed, with pictures of any deficiencies. I am so glad I used Excel Inspections.

    Radon Control Professionals Inc
On the day work was scheduled to be done, no one had arrived by 11:00am  so I called the main office to find out if the crew was on the way.  The receptionist said she would check and have someone call me back.  At 11:30, I still hadn't heard back.  I called the office again and the receptionist said, "No one called you?"  I said obviously no one had called -- because I was calling the office again after 30 minutes had passed without hearing from anyone.  Once again, she said she'd have someone call me.
About 15 minutes later, the "expert on problem installations" called to say he had been bitten by a bull dog (or pit bull, I can't remember which breed) and he was at the hospital receiving treatment.  He asked that I call the office to reschedule the job.
I called the office for the third time that day and canceled the job.
For what it's worth, we hired Radon Control Professionals based on a realtor's referral two years ago.  RPC performed an installation on the home we eventually sold and it was on that basis we decided to hire them again for the home we have now.  Unfortunately, the man who supervised and performed the work that was done two years ago does not seem to be with the company anymore.  Furthermore, after getting the "dog bite" story, I looked up recent reviews on Yelp and Angie's List.  I wish I had checked those reviews sooner.

    MoldGone LLC
The work crew  took many photos during the mold removal process, to document their work and the various chemicals they used to kill and remove the mold.  I hope to use  these ito persuade my homeowners insurance to pay for this water damage repair.  The crew was appropriately dressed, respectful, and worked consistently and conscientiously until the work was completed.  We discovered that the mold did not travel as far as we feared  (thankfully!), and the workmen finished in one day. Mold gone carefully explained the work process, possible problems, and cost to me ahead of time, and there were no surprises.
The work was completed faster than expected and my house was clean when they left.
    Great Job!

    American Restoration Service Inc
American Restoration's bid was higher than competitors; however, the bid was detailed, carefully covering all the steps in mold remediation. The work team was young, skilled and very professional.  The work area was enclosed to prevent spread of mold spores.  Removal of plumbing fixtures and reinstallation was done well.  Completion of work was delayed until delivery of cabinets by Home Depot.  Wall board replacement, speckling and painting left no evidence of restoration.  Price adjustments as the work progressed, both increases and decreases, were handled transparently and fairly.  Follow-up and finishing was meticulous.  I highly recommend American Restoration.

Work was performed professionally and timely.  They found more than initially expected.  Mike called immediately.  Described the additional work involved and cost.  And his crew performed the required work.  Very pleased with the service and would recommend for jobs large and small.

    Radon Abatement Services
Exceeded all expectations:  Mr. Swett set up an appointment to evaluate the scope of work and was punctual, very professional, knowledgeable, and informative. He suggested a course of action; how the work would be done; explained the costs and charges; and answered all of my questions. Mr. Swett said that his crews were experienced and reliable and they delivered everything and more. When Mr. Leiva and his crew arrived (again, when expected and on-time), they were polite, clean, and began the work immediately. Mr. Leiva is EPA trained and tested; explained in detail what he and his crew were going to do; verified where I wanted the radon evacuation duct to be drilled in the slab, how the ducting would run, and where the duct would exit the house. All of the work done was impeccable, professional, neat with a high attention to detail, and their clean up left no trace of anything done (which included drilling a hole in the basement slab and the exit point for the discharge duct. Even the discharge duct that was run outside of the house was done in such a way that it is unobtrusive and blends in with the exterior of the house (the duct was run up next to a downspout that helps disguise the duct work). Mr. Swett also provides services to replace the radon exhaust fan in the event that there are any problems. I highly recommend Radon Abatement Services for any radon mitigation that needs to be done.

    Radon Abatement Services
The entire experience was first-rate.  Mr. Swett was punctual on the day we arranged for an estimate and was very helpful in explaining what needed to be done.  I felt the estimate he provided was reasonable.  His crew was also punctual on the date of the installation, and they clearly knew their business.  The work was completed in about four hours and they carefully cleaned the work area when the job was completed.  They carefully explained what I needed to know about the warranty and how to monitor the system.  Overall, I am completely satisfied by the work done by the firm and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a radon remediation system in the Washington, D.C. area.

Environmental Testing & Research Laboratories, Inc
Quite expensive, but on par with other options. I would use again. However, the customer takes the sample and the instructions are not always clear, so there's concern I've contaminated the sample. Also, could be more explanation of the results and what to do about it.

Excellent. Was able to confirm we did not have mold...did not need remediation, but we did need a dehumidifier in our basement. Then promptly followed up the house call with an email recommending two different humidifiers.
