  • It could not have been a more perfect experience. Carol is a genius at her art! We asked for natural wicker baskets as table centerpieces. The baskets were overflowing with the most perfect blue hydrangeas (it's a boy!), white roses and assorted blue and white flowers. We had balloon bundles made for the cake and gift tables. These were centered with some of the prettiest baby mylar balloons I have ever seen and surrounded by the palest blue and green latex balloons; all were tethered to pretty pastel ribbons and weights. Corsages seem to have gone the way of the dinosaur and all our guests were full of praise for the one that Carol designed for the mother-to-be. Tiny white orchids (I think -- but do not quote me) and the tiniest of blue flowers. It was perfect! Carol's daughter assisted with the delivery and was gracious enough to stop by the gate of the club to tie happy face balloons to the gate (which we had ordered to guide guests). I was overwhelmed by the work Carol put into this event and our guests were talking about how gorgeous everything looked throughout the shower. The people who got to take the centerpieces home considered themselves lucky indeed. Galleria Florist is a treasure!

  • Our daughter ordered flowers online for our thirty-fifth wedding anniversary which is September 15th. The first problem is the flowers arrived SIX days early. I called to thank our daughter and she was shocked and severely disappointed that the requested delivery date was obviously ignored. She has made plans to take us out later this month but it was extremely important to her that we have something from her on the exact date. This was this company's first step in horrific customer service. Secondly, the flowers sent were, for the most part, DEAD. It was a mixed bouquet. The full size roses were past their bloom and turning brown around the edges. The day lilies were bruised with dark spots and curling in at the edges. The miniature roses were so far gone as to crackle like dried paper and the sweetheart roses lost all their petals on the first day. The water in the vase had a brackish smell which indicates it had been standing, with these (or some other) flowers in it, for some time. The arrangement, which I have had for only two days, is ready for the trash (it actually was ready for the trash when delivered). I was not in my office when they were delivered or I would have sent them back on the spot. I have a small bunch of flowers on my desk that I bought at Harris Teeter for five dollars a week ago that looks a hundred times better than the florist's arrangement! I have called the shop twice during their posted hours and no one answers the phone. I emailed the address given on their site and no one responded. I am totally disgusted with this company. I have yet to tell our daughter how horrible the flowers are as she would be heart broken. The first thing she would want to do is replace them and I will not have her do that as she works extremely hard for her money. I feel that the company should reimburse her the FULL amount of the money she paid; one, for not delivering on the specified date and the other for delivering flowers that should have been thrown away, not made into an arrangement. As an aside, do not be taken in by the photo of the cute little florist shop on their website. The number on the door does not match their address and while there is one prominent in the picture, there are NO parking meters in the Town of Herndon. I lived within five minutes of this shop for almost thirty years, the shop pictured is NOT the one described on the site. Finally, these people had not been listed on Angie's List prior to this report; however, I did find other negative reports on other sites and blogs. I wanted to be certain the good folks who are a part of the Angie's List community were made aware of this vendor!
